Recording day today with Jeronimo's Disco!
Having fun with my new WA76 compressor from Warm Audio. Itâs smashing the living daylights out of this snare with the âall buttons inâ mode and I love it!
Back to work for The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen mixing Springsteenâs âI Wish I Were Blindâ from the last Hometown Show in De Nobelaer.

This is a live recording I mixed for fun. The song is called "Killing Fields" and it's by The Last Internationale. The multitracks were recorded by none other than Bob Clearmountain at Apogee Electronics and were made available by Warren Huart's Produce Like A Pro.
Mixing a live recording of Youâre Missing for The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen!
Next month The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen will release a song never officially released by Bruce Springsteen himself (he gave it to Donna Summer though and she released it). The song is Protection and is mixed by yours truly.
I picked up these old Yamaha NS-244âs today. I didnât expect them to be this huge, so I made a little miscalculation there, but they sound just the way I expected them too; terrible bass response and hyped mid range. Iâll bet you can hear it too when I switch back and forth between the Yamahaâs and the KRKâs eventhough the audio is recorded with my phone.
Donât know if they sound like NS-10âs, but since those babies are pretty expensive on the second hand market, I was willing to give these a shot. They are way cheaper and do the same trick basically.
Back to mixing a live recording of The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen and enjoying the Solid State Logic (SSL) E-Channel emulation by Waves Audio. Should have bought this plug in years ago!
Having some fun with Clearmountain's Spaces from Apogee Electronics while mixing a live recording of Atlantic City by The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen. Using the plugin in dual mono mode for two different pre delay times for the same verb.
Currently working on a mix of a live recording for my own band The Faction. It's a 4 piece band so to "fatten" things up I made a copy of the guitar and synth tracks, hard panned those to the opposite direction of where they originally were, delayed them 50ms and EQ'd them like an old telephone/megaphone. Tuck the copied tracks underneath the original tracks and things start to sound a little wider and fuller. It's a neat little trick I picked up from Bobby Huff.
Hungry Heart
Back to work for The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen. "Hungry Heart" this time of course from Bruce Springsteen.
Mixing another song from Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA record. This time it's Glory Days again performed by Dutch Springsteen tribute band The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen.
Back to work with another Bruce Springsteen song performed live by The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen. From the Born in the USA record, this is Cover Me.
Currently mixing a live recording of the Bruce Springsteen song "the River" performed by Dutch Tribute band The Boss Brothers - A tribute to Bruce Springsteen! đ
Back in the studio with Jeronimo's Disco working on the pre-production of his new song âHere Goes Nothingâ.
