The strongest woman I know
I’ve seen you recover from the toughest situations. You lost very close family members but you always bounced back, enthusiastic about life, cheerful and willing to pour into others.
I don’t know if I could ever be this strong, I don’t even know if I want to 😭
The bravest woman I know
I never saw you show fear. I don’t think there’s anybody or anything you were scared of. Okay.. maybe chickens, but you still reared them at a point even though you could not bring yourself to touched them.
You could talk to anyone, you could tackle any situation heads on, you once followed me to Uni because of a problem I had with my result which was later rectified all thanks to you.
The most beautiful woman I’ve met
Your smooth clear skin always had me in awe. Aging had nothing on your skin. I always wondered how your skin stayed fresh and intact even after having us. You were so beautiful and you knew it.
Having a child and seeing what that can do to a woman’s body made me appreciate how well and beautifully you aged.
The kindest person I’ve encountered
Everybody that encountered you would always talk about your kindness and generosity. You’ve housed strangers in your home, feeding them, making sure they were comfortable until they were ready to leave.
Even after we left home, you kept cooking in large quantities for assemblies and conventions.
You insisted we get you a big sized car so people can easily carpool with you to places.
The liveliest and warmest person in any room you enter
There is never a dull moment with you, you knew how to carry on interesting conversations, you were an amazing storyteller. I always wondered how you were able to remember stories from years ago in such great details. You were funny, loud, and so hearty.
The most outstanding teacher ever
Aside your role as my mother, you were also one of my teachers in school. Everyone you’ve ever taught can testify to the fact that you teach so exceptionally well.
You loved teaching with a passion and it truly showed.
The most resourceful human being
The dictionary meaning of resourceful should be officially changed to Scholastica because you embody that word.
I remember one time when Armed robbers were trying to break into the house in Lagos. You immediately thought about pushing all the furnitures towards the door so that even if they eventually break the locks, it would still be impossible for them to come in.
When they kept shouting and insisting you opened the door, you vehemently refused. It was just You, me and Ebere at home that day, Daddy and Amaka were in owerri.
I remember you telling me after that you didn’t open up because you were trying to protect me and I immediately understood what you meant.
How do I live this thing called life without you? How??
All the plans we had, you didn’t get to see your grandson in person.
Death came and took you away from us 😭😭
I don’t know if this heartache would ever end, but I know one day we shall meet and we shall part no more.
