**Mergelland (nl) - De Lichtenberg Sessies 2020**

Tijdens de lockdowns ontstond het idee om de rijke Limburgse geschiedenis te vertalen naar een uniek Black Metal geluid. Zo werd Mergelland geboren. Na de eerste demo "Verloren in de Groeve" kwam het plan voor een volledig album getiteld "Lichtenberg". Dit album zag echter nooit het daglicht en Mergelland verdween, maar het oorspronkelijke idee bleef leven. Het evolueerde en transformeerde in wat we nu kennen als Wurgilnō.

Vier jaar later presenteren WolfKult Religion en Merg&Been met trots "De Lichtenberg Sessies 2020". Deze speciale release bevat vier nummers van de oorspronkelijke sessies, zorgvuldig bewaard en nu eindelijk beschikbaar op een fraaie tape. Gelimiteerd tot slechts 50 exemplaren, waarvan 10 in een speciale editie, is dit een unieke kans voor verzamelaars en fans om een stukje van deze bijzondere geschiedenis in handen te krijgen.

During the lockdowns, the idea emerged to translate the rich history of Limburg into a unique Black Metal sound, giving birth to Mergelland. After the first demo “Verloren in de Groeve,” the plan for a full album titled “Lichtenberg” was conceived. However, this album never saw the light of day, and Mergelland faded away. The original concept lived on, evolving into what we now know as Wurgilnō.

Four years later, WolfKult Religion and Merg&Been proudly present “De Lichtenberg Sessions 2020.” This special release features four tracks from the original sessions, carefully preserved and now finally available on a beautifully crafted tape. Limited to only 50 copies, with 10 of them in a special edition, this is a unique opportunity for collectors and fans to own a piece of this remarkable history.
