The trainstation in Assen must be one of the most appealing projects I’ve ever filmed. It looks strikingly simple however the process behind it hasn’t been simple at all. For this one I found walnuts the size of eggs haha! I found this site giganoten.nl (no not what you think), they are cultivating special walnut trees. As for the subject: Nuts in the supermarket are mostly imported from Turkey and California, but they could easily be grown in NL! De Notenvereniging inspires farmers to start cultivating nuts as an extra business alongside their main activities.

KAAN Architecten

KAAN Architecten asked us to make a film about their renovation of the Provincehouse of Noord-Brabant. This is the result. Thanks to Martina Margini, Foekje Fleur, Skymovies.nl, Chris de Krijger, Levi Westra, Rachel Sender Wharmby, Phil Procter and the kind staff of the Provincehouse. Best in 4K!

On the occasion of the nomination for the simon architecture prize 2016, KAAN Architecten has produced "Today", a short film about daily life inside the Provinciehuis of North-Brabant.

Filmed by Dutch director Marcel Ijzerman IJzerman Media, “Today” is a short non-fiction movie consisting of seven recorded conversations collected in the building that reveal the complex social structure of the administrative body, paired with a specific overview of the spaces as seen through the eyes of its users.

In the summer we created this video for BRAND The Urban Agency and partners. It shows how Grotekerkplein (Rotterdam) has been transformed into a vibrant square.

Kun je stadsontwikkeling testen voor de schop de grond ingaat? Volgens ons wel! In opmaat naar het stadspark dat binnenkort gerealiseerd wordt, ontwikkelden we samen met Stadspodium / Grotekerkplein Rotterdam, HUNK-design, Studio ID Eddy en de Gemeente Rotterdam een pop-up stadspark op het Grotekerkplein. Placemaking, placebranding en placetesting in één! Met Rotterdammers én alle gebruikers van het plein. Hoe dat in zijn werk gaat en wat het resultaat is, zie je in de video.
