On October 1st Leidse Parels’s first official event took place: Coffee Crawl on International Coffee Day ☕️☕️☕️

We were supposed to go to 3 cafe’s for 3 coffee’s, but were talking and laughing too much to get to the third location. 😂

🇳🇱 Vandaag is het World Habitat Day — meer dan 30 jaar geleden heeft de Algemene Vergadering van de Verenigde Naties de eerste maandag in Oktober omgedoopt tot de Wereld Habitat Dag omdat eenieder recht heeft op het basis recht op adequaat onderdak. 7 oktober 2024 heeft het thema “Engaging youth to create a better future”. Gezien de huidige tijdsgeest is dit thema absoluut doeltreffend.

🇬🇧 Today is World Habitat Day — more than 30 years ago the Unites Nations General Assembly declared the first Monday in October to be World Habitat Day because everyone deserves the basic human right to adequate shelter. 7 October 2024 has the them “Engaging youth to create a better future”. Nothing seems more fitting in the current age.

Last Wednesday we celebrated my 33th birthday dinner w/ the fam at one of the most fab restaurants in Utrecht: Le Bibelot.

Quint, cosy, beautifully plated and delicious too. That’s a solid 9/10 ⭐️

The 5Y “birthday” anniversary borrel for GGI Leiden last Sunday marks the end of an era. Sadly not everyone made it to the photos cause we were talking too much (oops), but 32+ made it to the de Keyzer to celebrate.

However, this is not the end. The journey continues over at / Leidse Parels • Creative Workshops & Themed Events. Make sure to follow along for more adventures. ♥️

Friday the 13th moods 🪄🗝️🕷️🐈‍⬛🐦‍⬛

Some claim it as an unlucky omniscient event, whereas others like myself see it as auspicious occasion. Why should the number 13 be unlucky?

Spiritually, Friday the 13th is ruled by Venus, the planet of love. This means it’s a day filled with love, beauty, grace, pleasure, and ease. Venusian allure and charm delivers desirable results. It celebrates divine feminine energy. However, patriarchal and religious ideas took over the narrative, making any worship of goddess figures taboo.

This is THE day to manifest your heart’s wishes, call in desires, and nurture ourselves and loved ones. 🌬️🤍🫧

Nothing better under the sun than VITAMINE SEA and vitamine D straight from the source.

Noordwijk aan Zee’s coastline and dunes are beautiful. We made use of the August weather to swim in the ocean. Salt in your hair, sun in your eyes and sand on your feet. 🏖️

Luckily I had the chance to go back to the beach in September a few more times before the Dutch weather changed back to “ons kleine koude kikkerlandje”. 🌞☔️
