Cay-T - Undertone (The Remakes)

We had an idea. Select an exclusive bunch of highly creative artists and give them a tiny vocal sample of the formally released track Undertone (2018) by not one less than Cay-T. The rules were simple, just create a brand new track out of this sample and be free in key, tempo, style or arrangement.

We could never expect this outcome. Six marvelous remakes of the song with only one similarity, the vocal sample of Cay-T. Six incomparable tracks on one EP with the same theme turned out to be a golden production, but still with great consistency!

Dreamlab’s newcomer Atmosline kicks off with a beautiful intro mix, great atmosphere and lovely brass elements. The dark pad dazzles and makes you float, the newly added vocals are really hypnotizing. Sublime work by these two magicians!

Also new in the family is Don Longton. His unique sound does something magic to the track. His Mogul Mind Remake will blow you away. Raw and mysterious synths and arpeggios, dark brass instruments and plucky basses. Wicked sound effects, several reverses and chopped up voices, it’s all there in this wonderful remake!

Nice Therapy comes with an outstanding organic progressive mix, well arranged with delicate and balanced instruments. Catchy percussion, great string sessions and beautiful arpeggios. After a mesmerizing break, the drop is amazing! Masterpiece for sure.

The melodic Techno remake by Nightbob kicks you in the butt. Starting up with dazzling percussion, a raw and edgy synth leads through carefully chosen arpeggios and pads. Never-ending but never boring, it sounds so good! And of course, his signature sound effects and processed voices are dressing up this solid track, also a must-have!

Our own Pedro de la Rossa surprises again with a sublime remake. Starting slowly with calming noises, the track builds up to a great climax with horns, brass and dark bass stabs. It’s an ultimate combination with the excellent voice of Cay-T, it makes this dreamy remake simply irresistible.

And there are the Resolutions guys! Their remake is also unique and very well arranged. The use of a lovely organ sample in this remake is very special and clever found, the brassy bass shots are simply awesome! The Resolutions remake is uplifting and enchanting at the same time, superb!

This is something! We’ve been waiting for a while for an original by Nightbob, but we we would never have expected a vocal one of this magnitude. For sure, because the amazing and stunning voice of no one less than Cay-T appears to be a logical and brilliant combination with the uplifting sound of Nightbob. We’re blown away.

It’s dark and mysterious and yet bright, wicked percussive elements and enchanting arpeggios. It’s also a bit hypnotizing and mesmerizing, but we’ve also trouble staying in our seats. The intriguing voice of Cay-T kicks your butt and makes the track sounds sexy at the same time.

A must hear & must have!
