We’ve been to Jay Sikotar Maa Mandir 🛕
Nestled amidst the serene landscape of Ralej Khambat, India, the Jay Sikotar Maa Mandir stands as a beacon of spirituality and devotion 🙏🏻🙏🏾 This sacred temple is dedicated to Goddess Sikotar Maa, revered as the protector and provider of blessings, prosperity, and well-being ☀️
Jay Sikotar Maa Mandir holds deep cultural and religious significance, serving as a place of worship and reverence. Devotees flock to the temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Sikotar Maa, offering prayers and performing rituals to express their devotion and gratitude 🪷 But the allure of the Jay Sikotar Maa Mandir extends beyond religious boundaries, captivating the hearts of visitors from all walks of life. Its picturesque surroundings and tranquil ambiance make it a peaceful retreat 🏞️
One of the most striking features of the temple is the magnificent Shivling statue that you can see right behind us. The Shivling represents the cosmic union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti, symbolizing the dynamic balance between masculine and feminine energies. It is a manifestation of the divine presence and is worshipped as a symbol of creation, preservation, and destruction—the three fundamental aspects of existence. Offering prayers and homage to the Shivling brings about spiritual purification, inner peace, and enlightenment 🇮🇳
Visitors to the Jay Sikotar Maa Mandir can marvel at the intricate craftsmanship of the Shivling statue, adorned with floral motifs and sacred symbols, radiating a sense of divine grace and majesty. The Shivling’s symbolism transcends religious boundaries, inviting all to contemplate the profound mysteries of life and existence.

The history of the Agra Fort is deeply intertwined with the Mughal Empire 🗺️
🏛️ It was originally constructed as a military fort by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century to serve as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. Over the years, subsequent emperors such as Jahangir and Shah Jahan made significant additions and modifications, transforming it into a magnificent palace complex.
It is not only a historical marvel but also a romantic destination for couples 🧡 Its majestic architecture, sprawling gardens, and serene ambiance make it a perfect spot for to explore. Many couples enjoy strolling hand in hand through the beautiful gardens, admiring the intricate details of the architecture, and soaking in the rich history of the place ⛲️ The iconic views of the Taj Mahal from certain vantage points within the fort add to the romantic allure of the experience, making it a very memorable destination for us 🫶🏻🫶🏾
Did you know that it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site? 🌏
It served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Its distinctive red sandstone walls, intricate marble inlays, and gardens make it a captivating symbol of India’s cultural heritage. One of its most famous features is the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), where the legendary Peacock Throne once stood. This fortress is not just a marvel of architecture, but a living testament to India’s rich past.
Visiting Jogani Mata Mandir in 📍Kadi, India
One of the spiritual highlights of our journey. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jogani Mata, also known as Yogeshwari Mata.
Jogani Mata Mandir holds great significance for devotees, particularly those from the Kadi region and surrounding areas. The Temple attracts a large number of devotees, especially during festivals and special occasions dedicated to the Goddess.
Devotees visit Jogani Mata Mandir to seek blessings for prosperity, well-being, and protection. The Temple’s architecture, religious rituals, and spiritual ambiance contribute to its popularity among pilgrims and tourists visiting Kadi. According to local folklore, there are two similar stories about how the Temple was built:
Once, a farmer was plowing his field when he discovered an idol of Goddess Jogani Mata buried in the ground. Amazed by the discovery, the farmer decided to build a Temple at the site to honor the goddess. As the temple was constructed, miraculous events began to occur, and devotees from nearby villages started flocking to the Temple to seek the blessings of Jogani Mata.
Another version of the legend suggests that Goddess Jogani Mata appeared in the dreams of a devout devotee and instructed him to excavate the idol buried in the field. Following the goddess’s guidance, the devotee unearthed the idol and built a Temple at the spot where it was found.
Regardless of the variations, the legend highlights the divine origin of the temple and the significance of Goddess Jogani Mata as a protector and benefactor of the devotees.
We come there often to seek blessings and humbly ask the Goddess for protection. 🙏🏻🙏🏾
Indian look is something we keep with us wherever we go ✈️
That day we just couldn’t find a perfect matching fits and we picked instead some rarely worn pieces out of our wardrobe. Did we match even a bit? 🫶🏾🫶🏻
Gabi likes to wear indian jewelry, sindoor, sometimes also clothes and mehendi when back in Europe but it is in India where we mostly put together traditional, full Indian looks. And I think it’s absolutely stunning!
Traditional outifts are part of the culture and it’s always fun to explore each others cultures. I see that my wife enjoys that a lot and I do too whenever we do something Polish. It’s new, interesting, educational and I believe that it huilds much better understanding between us. 🧡

We love to enjoy new flavors whenever we travel. That is not only the local cuisine but also regional produce 🥭🥦 Carambola might not be the most popular fruit of India 🇮🇳 but it seems surely more common there than in Europe. We had occasion to try it during our pilgrimage to Kalika Mata temple on Pavagadh hill. Our journey is available to watch on our YouTube channel (vlog is linked in our bio). There are more items that we tried that day and we would like to encourage you to check it out as the food served in temple will always be better 🧡Jai Mata Ji 🙏🏻🙏🏾...#jaishreeram #jaimataji #ayodhyadham #travel #travelvlog #travelgram #travelcouple #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelling #hindu #india #indianwear #indiangram #temple #mandir #pavagadh #food #foodgram #foodie #couple #couplegoals #carambola #fruit #indianfood #indiancuisine #indianculture #culture #thespicymasala
