Sunday morning on the Eurostar, on my way to Paris…..Another fashion week. Another weekend away from my loved ones. How many important moments in my children’s lives have I missed? Their swimming tests, their birthday parties… How much extra time could I have spent with my mom, who passed away six months ago?
And for what? I sometimes wonder. Agencies constantly approaching models with false promises, models accepting them without consulting me first. Clients calling day and night, expectations of constant availability. The stress, the grey hairs… Luckily, I’m blonde.
But Benjamin Hoff described it so beautifully in the Tao of Pooh, and that’s why I wanted to share this with you on this Sunday morning, which I hope you’re spending with your loved ones: “To know the way, we go the way…”
And me? I’m going to enjoy all those girls who, as my husband always says, I also consider my own children. And girls, thank you for letting me be a part of your lives and trusting me, I love you.
