Somewhere around September in 2006 less then a handful of people got the urge to create a Dutch forum dedicated to sneakers. This started of as something that was not intended to be big nor a long term project, therefore it was just called “sneakers” on some free-forum website. After a few days we started to see that this was more then just a joke, people came in from all over the country and even
the world. Later that year we went on to use the name King of Kicks, but as we were still on a free forum there wasn’t much to do after the launch. We needed our own domain and hosting, the name Lacebag was dug up and used ever since. Since that day in September 2006 Lacebag has grown to one of the largest sneaker community’s in Europe, but nowadays the community naturally evolved to a multimedia platform and covering a wide variety of subjects on the boards. The boards are still seen as a “news blog” with updates from within the community. While our blog is more for our special features, where we actually visit, interview or review a subject. If we have to describe what’s Lacebag about: Footwear, Streetwear & Lifestyle. Streetwear: the bigger picture. Lifestyle: the even bigger picture.
