I wanted to get a new SIM to complement the one I already have. Then I decided to patronise a road side sim vendor and the unexpected happened.

During registration, I gave out the needed details to the vendor and the registration was going on smoothly until it got to capturing.
Usually, you are expected to be captured once but the vendor captured me twice and that made me suspicious. So I queried him but he gave a flimsy excuse.

Immediately after the registration, I got a welcome text message indicating I registered two numbers instead of one and I asked why two numbers registered in my name instead of one, the vendor said "it's normal, that sometimes the issue is from the network operators”.

The next day, I went to Glo office to lay a complain and the moment I mentioned what brought me, the manager there said "these guys again? Why doing these to innocent people"?, that was when I realized the gravity of what just happened. The second number was deregistered, the case was reported and the guy was picked up.

Questioning the vendor, he said they usually use people's details to register other sim cards which they resell to "car trackers" at a higher price.

On further interrogation, he confessed that he uses people's details to register sim cards which they sell to fraudsters, ritualists, kidnappers and he makes a lot of money from the business.

Now, imagine if he sold this second number to a kidnapper or a fraudster and when tracked, my picture and details would pop up and it would be difficult to deny.

I'm putting this out here because a lot of innocent people are in prisons today because of cr!me they know nothing about.

While doing your registration, please be attentive and report any suspicion to the right authorities

Unfortunately, many of us know the above statements in marriage because we have either issued them as threats or received them.

Threatening your spouse with things like this, you might see it as nothing to you. But deep down in your spouse's heart, they feel pain and not valued enough.

It may feel effective but if this is the way you try to resolve issues, understand that it's a matter of time before your spouse begins to get used to it and then plan for it.

You might see it as a strategy to bend your partner to be submissive, but submissiveness comes from heart.

The lost goes on.

Someday, you'd issue the threat and have it thrown back in your face because at that point, it would no longer be potent.

If there are issues you want resolved, address them but if your default mode is to issue threats, you are helping to teach your spouse how to cope without you, and that is not a threat.

Understanding the game of numbers have been the underlying strategy for so many successful businesses online today. Because, people are always willing to get more for less. We tend to buy more when we feel, we've cheated the vendor 🤐.

But the truth is that with the knowledge of the game of numbers, nobody cheats anybody. Rather, you have succeeded in selling your business to a large number of people, thereby cashing out as a pro🌟.

Dear Parents,

As you are grooming the girl child for their future husbands, please do well to also groom the boy child for their future wife too.

Most parents have neglected the boy child a lot.

You are busy molding your girl child into womanhood forgetting that the boy child will someday marry another person's child.

Most mothers devote all their time and attention prepping their daughters into a
Womanhood hence,relegating the boy child to the background.

Oh! because you think the only shame you can face is when your daughter doesn't turn out well for marriage or probably gets pregnant outside wedlock?

No!

There are far worse shame than that;

If your son impregnates a girl outside wedlock,you have failed as a mother.

If he doesn't love and treat his wife right just as Christ demanded, you have failed.

If he isn't a good father, you have also failed.

The list is endless.

My friend nearly di*d of malnutrition when she was pregnant for her first child.

She was so sick that she couldn't get up from the bed.

The husband cooked undone beans with groundnut oil, cooked noodles with salt and plenty red oil because he doesn't know what the spice is for, he even cracked raw egg on the sink just as he does for the cooked egg, instead of the plate because he hasn't cracked raw egg before.

After eating the concoction, she will throw everything up.

And they live abroad, so no family member around to help.

She bacame so lean like a skeleton until the day their church sister visited, she couldn't believe her eyes and had to rush her to the hospital because she looked terr*ble.

When she was admitted at the hospital, she was diagnosed of nothing but malnutrition.

Where there is food oo, plenty for that matter, just because husband man doesn't know how to pick a pin from the ground.

Imagine the joy of one's spouse cooking or even helping them in the house chores from time time.

The joy is undescribable.

It also strengthens the relationship and even, spices it up.

I am urging us mothers to please do more.

The boy child is a person just like every other child and shouldn't be treated specially.

May God help us in this journey 🙏

Slaves used cornrows to transport and create maps to flee plantations.

It is most documented in Colombia where Benkos Bioho, a King captured from Africa by the Portuguese who escaped slavery, built San Basilio de Palenque, a village in Northern Colombia around the 17th century.

most boys find it hard to live with people after coming from a home where everything was done for them because they can barely even wash their own clothes, and talk less about helping out with house chores...

This is so because our mothers put so much energy into helping daughters to be good wives and forgetting about the boys... Doing housework isn't gender-based but basic chores, a house should not look nasty because a particular person wasn't home to clean it while mommy's boy is around....

This one in the picture is Debris and is used while building high-rise buildings to protect builders and passers-by from any flying object from the construction site such as nail, stone, or even cement.

And it is legally required while building high-rise buildings.

As important as it is to neighbors around new building sites, most contractors don't care, they just use cements, nails and debris from their new building sites to cause damages to people and properties around the building.

Whenever things like this happen, I kept Wondering if this life is worth the struggles and hustles for survival, when one can be lifeless within a twinkle of an eye, leaving behind all he loves dearly. Without saying goodbye or a word..

Nobody deserves to loose their lives especially while trying to fend for themselves or when trying to give life to another.

But in all things, life is a journey which will eventually come to a permanent end someday. Let's live everyday like we are living our last, because nobody knows when, where and how's it's gonna 'END"

You see this Life jacket!!!!

It seems like a joke, but this is your only chance of survival in the sea.

I worked offshore and I can tell you, water is such a powerful scary creation.

Some of you don’t take life serious and when I see people go on the sea without safety precautions, I don’t pity them coz they don’t value their lives.

2020-2022, I was travelling from Akwaibom to bonny island and island to Porthacourt almost every week/ month - Via Ogoni water ways or Nembe water- through delta waters to Porthacourt.

Best time to travel by sea is in the morning- 6Am-11am. From 12pm down- The waves will increase and as such comes the rough sea conditions.. Note- Wind is directly proportional to the wave.

I usually at all time will ask the boat driver or the boys there to help me make sure I am wearing the life jacket very well as there’s a certain way you have to wear the jacket- it has to fit in very well and tightly worn.
N/B- If you don’t wear this life jacket well, if any accident happens, the life jacket will drown you.. so you have to make sure you wear it the right way.

These small boats are not well regulated. The engines are always bad. Many times in the middle of the sea, the engines will go off and the waves will be closing in on you in the middle of the rough sea.

The boat driver is well experienced and knows how to swim very well. He will survive when the accident happens. And you will probably swallow water and sink.

SAFETY FIRST AND SAFETY ALWAYS.
Use life Jacket at all times.

If There’s no life jacket, DO NOT board that boat.
DO NOT BOARD THE BOAT!!! This is the minimum required safety gear for boarding an open boat.

Request for it.

Nollywood itself isn’t regulated..

You go for shooting-

Minimum requirements- An Ambulance with a medical personnel
A diver on stand by
A medical facility close to the shooting location.

But I guess these producers don’t like spending money.

When I was in JS 2, my brother was in SS 3. He was a feared, loved, and very well respected prefect. One day, he was on duty and came round inspecting students in the dining hall. When he came to me, a small frown creased his brow, but he said nothing and moved on. He rang the bell and lunch commenced.

Then he left the hall, and a few seconds later someone came and told me my brother wanted to see me outside. Outside, he said to me, 'You have no badge pin. Yet when I said everyone not dressed correctly should leave, you stayed. You think a badge pin is a small thing and so does not matter?' He pulled my ear and asked me to leave.

I cried quietly all the way to the hostel, because I was so hungry. After lunch, he sent for me. When I came he asked me to sit on his bed. I sat. He brought out food and asked me to eat. I ate. And as I ate he told me never to act like that again. That every little thing matters. And that every day, and most especially on the days on which he was on duty, I must act right. Because it would always be heartbreaking for him to have to punish me, his brother, in front of everyone.

NB: This shows the level of intelligence and self discipline one needs inorder to make things right.
