Gunmen on Tuesday morming ambushed a convoy of Dawood workers along the Ahoada/Abua road along the East-West road in Rivers State, shooting dead Four Soldiers and Two drivers. The gunmen also kidnapped two expatriate Korean workers on the entourage. It was gathered that the incident,which occured at about 9.30am, causes pandemonium along the East-West road. It must be a big joke of some sort that Halkin Exploration and Production Limited signed a sponsorship deal with Bayelsa United Football Club of Yenagoa. While private involvement and sponsorship of a football team is a welcome development to grow the game but this particular one is not tidy.
