‘A Tribe Called Judah’ Touched Challenges Faced By Less Privileged Nigerians – Peter Obi (Labour Party Nigeria presidential candidate in the 2023 general election) commended.

The movie made history by becoming the first Nollywood film to surpass ₦1 billion at the box office.

Funke Akindele is the Producer and Actor of ‘A Tribe Called Judah.

The former Anambra State governor also encouraged Nollyhood film producers to continue to tell stories that will inspire hard work, integrity, and productivity among Nigerians.

He wrote, “It is heartwarming to learn that ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ a movie by Nigerian Movie Producer, , has achieved a record-breaking earning of N1 billion, in just 3 weeks of its release, thus marking a historic moment in our Nigerian movie industry.

“The latest movie touches on some of the complex challenges faced by the less privileged families in Nigeria, in their struggles for survival. It skillfully tells a story that appeals to its audience in a comic and entertaining delivery.”

THIS IS A LESSON EVERYONE MUST LEARN AHEAD OF 2024

A very strong word is found in the book of Deuteronomy 28:47-48.

“Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee”.

GOD FORBID!

Each time I come across this scripture fear grips me immediately. I then recall a time in my life when I let situations weigh me down and things got even tougher, and how God came through for me.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE MEAN AS “ABUNDANCE OF ALL THINGS IN DEUTERONOMY 28:47-48 AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE FAIL NOT TO THANK HIM FOR IT?

The Abundance of all things includes our:

- Primary needs (Shelter, Food & Clothes)
- The free gift of life
- Health and vitality
- God’s protection and provisions
- Relationships, etc,

The above is what the Bible refers to as “the abundance of all things”

WHY???
Because everything we desire and crave to get is built on these Primary needs of life. Every other thing is secondary and without the above everything is useless.

LET ME ASK YOU THIS ONE QUESTION:

The money, job, career, business and every other thing you are chasing after what do you need it for?

Well, you already know the answer, to meet at least one of the PRIMARY NEEDS mentioned above.

THE GOOD NEWS IS; In 2023, you were given these free gifts in abundance. That’s the truth and you can bear me witness.

NOW LET’S DO SOME PRACTICALS:
- Are you still alive? I guess yes!
- You can see with your two eyes even if it’s one but the good thing is you’re seeing right?
- Two hands complete?
- Walking on two legs?
- You can smell and taste?
- Very interestingly probably last night you had a hot moment of love making with your partner, am I lying??? (I mean married couples ooo 🤣🤣🤣). That’s on a lighter note anyways 🤣🤣🤣
- Again you didn’t sleep in the woods or under the bridge, meanwhile you’re not better than them that are there.
- You didn’t die of hunger because God provided.
- You didn’t visited the hospital for yourself, perhaps you did but not there anymore.
IS NOT ALL THESE AMAZING? THAT GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AS IF YOU’RE HIS FAVOURITE? OFF COURSE YOU ARE!

As a matter of fact, as you’re reading this transforming message many people are still gnashing teeth in the hospital with either legs hanged on a rope or rolling back and forth with no hope of coming out of the terrible pains they’re into. May God have mercy.

Many are dead for lack of money for treatments. Many have the money but not sufficiently valuable enough to buy them life; for the oxygen we breathe is a free gift from God. Do you know how much it is sold per hour now? Not even the richest president can buy. Just recently we lost a seating governor. That’s to tell you money can’t buy life.

You go out daily for 365 days and return without a scratch.

DID YOU KNOW? That the same accident God saved you from that you think it was by your smartness was the same accident that claimed the lives of many?

You are angry the year is almost over because you didn’t achieve all of your goals but you still have life.

Haven’t you read ONLY THE LIVING HAS HOPE? Praise God for the life you’ve got and trust Him for a glorious and fulfilling 2024!

NOW LETS LOOK AT WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ANYONE WHO WILL CHOSE TO CONTINUE IN THE PATH OF INGRATITUDE IN 2024:

Deuteronomy 28:48 _ Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

That is to tell you that those who live a life of complaining, murmuring, in bitterness and ingratitude will always be in
- Want of all things
- Dryness becomes the other of the day
- Nothing good works in their hands as they see nothing good happening around them
- They become lonely as nobody would want to associate with the ungrateful and proud
- Sickness becomes their friend because a broken spirit dries the bones.
- Hope is lost and depression sets in.

These and many more are the agonies of an ungrateful person. Be careful!

The value of gratitude can never be over emphasized. Make it a lifestyle come 2024 and thank me later .

Be grateful to God at every given point and those God sends your way for your rising.

He that is grateful for the little will always be given more.

“When you are thankful your tank will be full”

LET’S HAVE SOME FUN……
A graduate in zoology was having difficulties in finding job...... He saw an advert in one of the daily news paper for a job at a zoo.

At the interview, the manager told him that their gorilla which has been a tourists attraction has died, so they needed someone to dress and disguise as a gorilla since they have not been able to afford a new gorilla.
The graduate was embarrassed but since the salary was very okay and attractive, he accepted the job offer
On the first day, he put on the gorilla skin and entered the cage, started jumping up and down, beating his chest while roaring like a gorilla.........

The next day, he put on the gorilla skin and started moving around the zoo again and mistakenly entered another cage untill he found himself starring at a lion , the lion roared and started moving towards him.

The scared graduate forgot that he was a gorilla and started shouting like a human being "help! help!! help!!!".,, The lion leaped onto him, knocked him to the ground and whispered onto one of his ear; Rudent, it's me Brian your course mate, don't fear, bro there is no work in this country,....., Infact you see that crocodile inside that water ?, That is Antony your class rep.

THOMAS EDISON AND HENRY FORD

In 1896, Thomas Edison, the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in his company had created an experimental car.

Edison met the youngman at his company's party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed! He had the same idea as the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the young man used gasoline engine to power the car. He slammed his fist down and shouted "young man, that's the thing! You have it! .. I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!"

With these words of encouragement from the most highly respected inventor in the United States at that time, HENRY FORD, continued his work, invented a car and became wealthy.

On december 9, 1914, Thomas Edison's laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67years old and the damage was too extensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison can have more if he needed it!

In 1916, Henry Ford relocated his home to the building next to Edison's home and when Edison couldn't walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors, Henry Ford also bought a wheelchair in his house so that he could run wheelchair race with his friend and mentor!

Thomas Edison made Henry Ford believe in himself and got a friend for life!

Don't ever be jealous of other people's success. If you can't win a race, help the person in front of you to break the record!

Who do you listen to? Who do you take advice from? What sources are you seeking insight and wisdom from on a daily basis?

You’ll never learn as much spending your time and attention around the people who are exactly where you desire to escape from.

You learn and grow by spending your time and attention with people who are where you desire to be in life. This can be one of the toughest things for some people because of the emotional ties that exist among people.

Your choices will define every aspect of your life. Your standard of living, insight, and opportunities will be highly influenced by the friends you keep close.

To God be all the glory, I’m all I’m for where I’m now through the excellent guidance, mentorship and relationship from all my privileged spiritual fathers, leaders and friends.

1. Take action, now.

Life will be as “busy” as you allow it to be. Stop putting your goals and aspirations behind the avoidable delays and distractions of life.

Eliminate the excuses you have for delaying your success aspirations for a “better time” or when you’re “ready”.

Make a list of the things you must do in order to achieve your goals. Then, prioritize that list and do one thing every single day, even if you only have just ten or fifteen minutes a day.

Taking consistent action is one of the most satisfying things you’ll do to achieve the success you desire. Do not ignore this fundamental truth at the peril of your hopes and aspirations.

So, start today. Stop making excuses that you believe are actual reasons for putting off your action plan to achieve the success you so badly desire.

Walter Elias Disney known as the world’s greatest animator didn’t have it so easy from the start.

He used to be a daydreamer back in his school days and used to draw random sketches.

After serving as a red cross volunteer in World War 1, he decided to make cartoon motion pictures and started a cartoon company at the age of 19.

He failed miserably and went bankrupt at the age of 22 and also got fired from his newspaper agency for lacking imagination. After that, he went bankrupt several times and the company was completely shattered in 1928.

That’s when he created his most famous cartoon character Mickey mouse. Today, The Walt Disney Company is a force not to be reckoned with in the animation industry.

If he had not use failure as his vehicle to success but as a reason of discouragement he wouldn’t have made it to the top.

EMPOWERMENT THURSDAY!!

Once upon a time, in one of my trips from Jigawa state to Bayelsa, unknown to me I went to the wrong park; boarded the wrong bus and got stranded on the way.

Why? Simply because, it was my first time and I failed to take the time to gather the right information before embarking on my journey which I painfully regretted.

Today’s Focus: THE POWER OF INFORMATION

Information is power. Information births knowledge. When you lack the right information in anything you’ll act out of knowledge just as I did.

When you lack the right Information you get frozen and frustrated in your pursuit of success.

So, what is/an information?

An information is a report of recent events or facts not previously known.

Information is also the body of knowledge obtained from research, study, or instruction.

It is vital for us to know that;

“It is the amount of quality information at your disposal that determines your level of exposure and influence”.

“Wherever and whatever you know more you become the head”

No wonder the scriptures says:

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” (Hosea 4:6)

So, you see! The first place to accessing infallible information or knowledge is the word of God (the Bible - God’s instruction manual).

Every-time you ignore going for new knowledge which is obtainable through every piece of information that comes your way life remains in shambles.

The truth is, what you don’t have you can’t give and what you don’t know is always more than what you know. That is why you cannot be successful more than you know.

See, we must be humble and be teachable to learn, unlearn and learn again if we must finish strong on the journey called success.

Currently, you should know this, the more information or knowledge you have at the right time about anything the more money you’ll likely make when you know how to sell it.

Information is power sir/ma, please go for it! And please don’t forget, there're no limits to the amount of knowledge you need for your success to get to the peak. So you keep digging and digging.

Look at Peter, a professional fisherman just like you in that career, skill or vocation toiled all through the night but at the surface of his level of information and knowledge until the master instructed him to launch into the deep there was no breakthrough.

The reason why some people are still where they are now is because they are still trading with the information they got ten years ago.

HERE ARE SOME SPRINGS OF KNOWLEDGE:
You can access information and knowledge through the Bible, seasoned books, tapes, the media, researches, inquiries, articles, magazines, mentors and most importantly through revelations, etc.

OBSTACLES TO KNOWLEDGE
⁃ Pride (ITK, i too know)
⁃ Lazy reading habits (refuse to become a victim of the statement “if you want to hide a thing from an African man, put it in black and white)
⁃ Unproductive long chats (social media/physical)
⁃ Past achievements
⁃ Incuriosity
⁃ Unproductive arguments, etc.

Remember, information or knowledge not utilized will lead to hard labour, struggles and penury.

Go for information, go for new knowledge. Go for influence.

Potential is an intrinsic latent ability, a hidden talent or success that when discovered and developed facilitates the success or fulfillment of one’s purpose.

Dr. Myles Munroe of blessed memory puts it this way, “Potential is not what you have done, but what you are yet able to do”. It also means all you can be but have not yet become.

If you are yet to discover your potential(s), then; you sincerely need to ask yourself these questions.
- What can I do?
- What have not done that I need to do?

WHY IS POTENTIAL CRUCIAL? Because one major causes of stagnation is the result of unused potential as potential is key to next levels of success.

FIVE KEYS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL:

1 - Know your source (God) and be in relationship with Him.

2 - You must know your purpose, calling or assignment; everything is created for a reason. Your potential is imbedded in your purpose.

3 - Since potential is a sleeping ability you need to wake it up, work it out and cultivate it until it gives you the success you desire.

4 - Guard your potential(s) from sin, discouragement, procrastination, distraction, failure, etc.

5 - Share your potential just as nature shares it’s potential with us. Try not to be excessive with your potential, know your functions. Recognize the principle of obedience, it is the multiplier and protection of your potential, so; stay humble.

Only the manufacturer of a product determines how and what his product should be used for. Therefore, our success in life can only be determined by God our maker.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephe. 2:10 NIV )

Which means we are not walking on our own paths but making progress in places God has prepared for us. Hence, failure to rely on God on our journey to success will amount to fruitless efforts.

“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” - Prov. 16:3 NIV.

‘PERSONAL SUCCESS IS VITAL’

The beginning of all success is personal success and personal success is rooted in discovering your personal identity. Your personal identity is what you are created to do, become or set out to achieve.

Personal success is very important because only a successful individual can render value to his/her organization, that is why; every great organization is all out seeking for success oriented, trained, motivated and results driven employees.

So, for you to be proficient and productive enough to standout from the crowd is to discover and learn to succeed for yourself.

No man leads a legion of soldiers to war without the necessary trainings of becoming a commander in chief. Likewise, no man is appointed or chosen to head a department without being found worthy (successful).

Simply put, personal success is succeeding with or without the success of others. This also means making it in a group or organization where others are failing.

I so much love this man ‘Emmitt Perry, Jr.’ - American playwright, actor, screenwriter, producer, and director (Tyler Perry)

Though had a difficult childhood. Grew up with a physically abusive father which later led to changing his name to disassociate himself from his father, attempted su***de and dropped out of high school although he eventually passed a high-school equivalency exam. After he heard television personality Oprah Winfrey suggest that writing down personal experiences could be cathartic Perry began to keep a journal, which evolved into his first play, I Know I’ve Been Changed. And from there look at where he is now.

Tyler Perry makes history opening first fully-black studio in US worth $250M

The 53-year-old entertainer owns the entirety of his creative output, including more than 1,200 episodes of television, 22 feature films, and at least two dozen stage plays, as well as a 330-acre studio lot at the edge of Atlanta’s southern limits.

Happy birthday to one of all times greatest black filmmaker ‘Tyler Perry’ The first ever black American to own a fully established studio.

Do your words and God’s word correspond?

Let not your words conflict with God’s word concerning you in any matter.

No matter how well you know the scriptures, if you cannot apply them correctly you will miss the blessing.

The challenges of life may be very alarming, the happenings in our lives may be contrary to God’s word but it is our choice to remain connected to only that which is written and spoken by God.

If what is happening is not what is written or spoken by God, then, we must think, speak and focus only on his word.

Until our thoughts, words, and actions are a reflection of God’s word the enemy will always play a fast run on us.

Remember, amid this economic decadence, poverty, hunger, and unemployment everywhere people are still living their best lives; buying new cars, building new houses, and traveling to the best countries of their choice.

Why? Because they think differently and are up on their toes working while you are just there complaining and apportioning blame which contradicts God’s word for your life.

We all understands, that it’s not easy most of the time but should we now give up our only source of safety and provision? Remember, there is no help anywhere except God first helping us.

One of the reasons that may have contributed to your needs not being met or prayers answered is that your words do not align with the word of God.

Do you believe God’s word? Then speak it, do it, and keep doing it. Because his word will not return to him void you are sure of receiving his promises.

God said it, I believe it and God settles it!

Let that be your new song.

I see your testimony springing up in Jesus' name, Amen!
