WANTED BY THE BAYELSA STATE POLICE COMMAND

The Bayelsa State Police has issued a wanted notice for the following individuals:

- Comr. Daniel D Daniel
- Comr. Koffi Osomewo
- Comr. Kalime Odede
- Comr. Daniel Kiebo Johnbull
- Tavie Clement Yaviekume
- Super Japhet Kieme
- ThankGod Kieboye Appah
- Famvie Berebo Henry Okosi
- Elliot Tokumbo Faith Fabiri
- Clinton Wanbira Friday

These individuals are wanted for conducting an unauthorized election for the Epie Atisa Youth Council, which is considered a threat to peace and an act of defiance against authority.

The wanted individuals are instructed to report to the Police State Headquarters on Thursday, May 22, 2024, at 1300 hours (1:00 PM) without fail. The purported election is deemed null and void.

This notice is issued by ASP Musa Mohammed, Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Police Command, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command.

Late Mr. Teidei Toru Goes Home

•• As Robert Igali, Family And The Eniwari Community Bids Farewell To Their Son, Brother And Father.

Yesterday, in what that is best described as agony, sorrow and outpour of cries, mourning the departed soul of a community leader and a man of goodwill, the Eniwari community and the immediate family of Late Mr. Teidei Toru laid him to mother earth at the Azikoro Cemetery Yenagoa. Late Mr. Teidei Toru death is one that has caused a dilema and vacuum of pain in the hearts of all Eniwari people because he was a kind hearted, a man of goodwill and uprightness, who was gruesomely murdered by a gang of armed rubbers at the Eniwari community.

The brief funeral service was characterized by prayers and co**se inspection which was carried out at the cemetery ground even as the officiating pastor admonishes those present to live righteously in accordance with the commandments of God Almighty.

The Amananaowei Of Eniwari community, HRH. Darius Job, Deacon Igali Robert Jp, Hon. Steven Bekefula, Hon. Champ. Effort Bekefula and host of other relatives with well wishers bid Farewell to Late. Mr. Teidei Toru, encouraged the wife and children to be strong in the Lord even as they pray to God to give the family and the community the fortitude to bear the loss.

Rest in peace Late Mr. Teidei Toru.

𝐔𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐆 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒

The University of Africa Toru-orua Student Union Government (SUG) launched the transportation scheme of the UAT SUG. The scheme is to ease the high transport burden on students of the University traveling from Yenagoa to Toru-orua and Toru-orua to Yenagoa respectively.

Presenting the first enlisted bus on the scheme to the Management of the University, the SUG president Comrade Ebikela Sanu in company of the SUG Director of Transport, Comrade Zipador Oyinpreye and other SUG Executives, informed the Management of the University that the bus will run at a subsidized rate of Two Thousand Naira (N2000) per trip to and from Yenagoa.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Solomon Ebobrah congratulated and lauded the entrepreneurial drive of the SUG and urged them to resolve all conflicts amicably while also admonishing the driver to be patient with the students

Speaking at the presentation, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor Barclays Ayakoroma, urged the students to ensure all proper arrangements are made with the necessary motor park authorities in yenagoa and Toru-orua to avoid unnecessary confrontations with park authorities.

He further urged other transporters to enlist in the scheme, as it promises to be lucrative for them and beneficial to the students.

The busses are to operate in the Toru-orua motor park and the second park at Tombia Round-about in Yenagoa. The fare is Two Thousand Naira (N2000) per trip.

The scheme is an initiative by the Comrade Ebikela led executives to cushion the effects of the current inflation rate on the UAT students.
All students and members of staff are encouraged to patronize the UAT Shuttle buses to ensure sustainability.
