It has come to our attention that the students of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro have been waiting for their Ordinary National Diploma (OND) results for two years, and have not received any information from the university Management regarding the delay. This is a grave situation that must be addressed with the utmost urgency.

The students have been left in a state of uncertainty and anxiety, unable to move forward with their lives.

The university must take immediate action to release the results, so that these students can continue their studies and pursue their goals. This delay is causing immense hardship for the students and their families, and it is unacceptable.

We urge the university management to prioritize the needs of the students and release the results as soon as possible. We also call on the university to communicate more effectively with the students, and to provide regular updates on the status of the results.

We believe that this situation requires swift and decisive action from the university, and we urge them to take all necessary steps to resolve this situation does not occur again in the future.

We believe that the Polytechnic student and the new institution students of Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro deserve to have their academic progress prioritized, and we will continue to advocate for their rights. We urge all stakeholders to work together to resolve this issue and ensure that the students' needs are met.

NDDC Cancels All Unexecuted Contracts from 2002 to 2019

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has reportedly cancelled all unexecuted contracts from 2002 to 2019.

This comes a week after her billionaire father, Femi Otedola, set sail on the world’s biggest yacht to celebrate her 60th birthday.

Cuppy is already a well-known name because of her music career. She started out as a DJ and then moved on to performing and writing songs. She has made hits and singles with Tekno, Rema, Fireboy DML, Teni, Sarkodie, Skuki, and Zlatan which have topped the charts. Delta state polytechnic Otefe-Oghara claim they make some mistake on thier release memo at 1st November 2022.

On the memo they increase acceptance fees from #10,000 to #35,000 and added #12,000 to school fees.

After the intervention of Delta student Comrades, Nans, Naps, sug etc.

The institution promise to reduce the fees by 50% which means #15,000 will be reduced on the fees.

It came to our notice that the institution claim they made some mistake on the fees and now make full amendment.

They claim #30,000 was added to the school fees but on the memo it shows less than #30,000.

The Student Comrade claim it was truth but to our knowledge, the Comrade react to the memo release on 1st of November.

The new school fees is now higher than the memo release on 1st of November.

I see no reason why Nans, Naps and the rest should accept such a big mistake from the institution.

The management of delta state polytechnic Otefe-Oghara released a Memo for Increament of fees on the 1st of November 2022, Then released another memo on 7th November 2022 for indigenous students.

It states that the fees were increased instead of reduction of #15,000 as agreed by Nans, Nap, and the Otefe-Oghara Sug Executive.

Yesterday, I went to First Bank to use the ATM
I got there and looked around and joined the long queue. A young lady came to meet me and asked how much I wanted to withdraw.

She said she over withdrew money; She was supposed to withdraw 3k but mistakenly pressed 30k. She will give me 20k cash, I will transfer it to her account.

This is what shocked me; I have been standing on the queue for approximately 5mins and I never saw this Lady around that ATM, she wasn't on the queue, she never made any withdrawal. Which ATM did she use in getting the 30k?

I told her I will wait for my turn, she left my side, I asked the man in my front, did you see this lady around? I wanted to point her but the Lady had disappeared, I didn't see her again.

I told the man what she said and he laughed and said it is an old logic. They come with fake naira notes claiming they mistakenly pressed and withdraw the wrong amount

When you are in a hurry to leave the long queue, you transfer the money to them and they give you cash You leave happily thinking you have escaped long queue, go to wherever to buy something with the money and realise you were given fake money

The man called it Old logic but what saved me was my keen observation, she looked so innocent and pretty, you won't even suspect a thing...

I am sure someone out there is hearing about this stealing logic for the first time.

I had to post this because I am hearing it for the first time too o. It might help someone who doesn't know this too.

Kogi State Joins Oil Producing State, Gets Derivation allocation

Kogi has finally joined the league of oil-producing states in Nigeria as it received the first derivation allocation from the Federation Account.
Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Information Commissioner, disclosed this shortly after the State Executive Council Meeting at Government House, Kogi.

Fanwo said that Gov Yahaya Bello, who dropped the cheering news during the meeting, assured residents of his administration’s determination to continue to record more wins for the state.
It’s on record that this administration has recorded many giant strides in various sectors covering the thematic areas of our governor’s New Direction Blueprint.

“This new breakthrough in the “derivation allocation will no doubt make us do more for our people.
On breaking the news, our governor said he was so elated to announce to the good people of Kogi State that the administration has received our first derivation allocation as an Oil Producing State.”

“This announcement is in line with the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability, for which we have received many awards

“We worked hard to make this history. But we wouldn’t have achieved it without the support of our people, who stood resolutely with us to make this see the light of day.

“We also wish to express our gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for his leadership roles as well as the RMAFC for making this a reality, ” he stated.
The Commissioner further said that Bello restated his promise to the people that he would ensure that the resources worked for them.

” We will build more schools, and hospitals and construct more roads. We will empower our youth and women. Under my watch, we will ensure security.”

While noting that the allocation came at a time the State Government was building legacy projects across the state, the governor pledged to ensure “judicious use of the derivation allocation”.

CBN sells Polaris bank for N50bn after rescuing it with N1.2trn
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) have formally announced the completion of a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the acquisition of 100percent of the equity in Polaris Bank by Strategic Capital Investment Limited (‘SCIL’).
The deal secured the approval of the House of Representatives, who, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, sanctioned the sale of Polaris Bank and affirmed that the acquisition followed laid down procedures and got the relevant presidential approval.

A statement issued by the Director, Corporate Communications Department at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Osita Nwanisobi, on behalf of the CBN and AMCON disclosed that SCIL had paid an upfront consideration of N50 billion to acquire 100% of the equity of Polaris Bank and had also accepted the terms of the agreement which include the full repayment of the sum of N1.305 trillion, being the consideration bonds injected.
According to the statement, “the CBN thus received an immediate return for the value it has created in Polaris Bank during the stabilisation period, as well as ensuring that all funds originally provided to support the intervention are recovered.

“The sale was coordinated by a Divestment Committee (the ‘Committee’) comprising representatives of the CBN and AMCON, and advised by legal and financial consultants. The Committee conducted a sale process by ‘private treaty’, as provided in Section 34(5) of the AMCON Act to avoid negative speculations, retain value and preserve financial system stability.
In the process, parties who had formally expressed an interest in acquiring Polaris Bank, subsequent to the CBN intervention in 2018, were invited to submit financial and technical proposals. Invitations to submit proposals were sent to 25 pre-qualified interested parties, out of which three (3) parties eventually submitted final purchase proposals following technical evaluation.
All submissions were subject to a rigorous transaction process from which SCIL emerged as the preferred bidder having presented the most comprehensive technical/financial purchase proposal as well as the highest rated growth plans for Polaris Bank,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was quoted as saying that the sale of the bank “marks the completion of a landmark intervention in a strategic institution in the Nigerian banking sector by the CBN and AMCON.”

He commended the outgoing board and management for their vital role since the bridge bank was established; in stabilising the Bank’s operations, and its balance sheet and implementing strong governance structures to address the issues that led to the intervention.
According to the Governor, the process has provided the CBN with an unprecedented opportunity to recover its intervention funds in full and promote financial stability and inclusive growth. He wished SCIL well as they implement growth plans to build the bank from the strong foundations that have been established.”

It will be recalled that Polaris has been operating as a bridge bank since 2018 when the Central Bank of Nigeria intervened to revoke the licence of the former Skye Bank Plc and established Polaris Bank to assume its assets and certain liabilities.

As part of the CBN intervention, consideration bonds with a face value of N898 billion (future value of N1.305 trillion) were injected into the bridge bank through AMCON, to be repaid over a 25-year period. The Bank noted that the actions were taken to prevent the imminent collapse of the bank, enable its stabilisation and recovery, protect depositors’ funds, prevent job losses and preserve systemic financial stability.
Speaking on the acquisition on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee investigating the sale of Polaris Bank, Hon. Henry Nwawuba said that the lawmakers during the scrutiny of various documents and extant regulatory processes on the sale of the bank discovered that there was evidence of substantial compliance with the process.

Memorial Holds At Lekki Thursday

A memorial has been planned to hold on Thursday at the Lekki area of Lagos to commemorate the killing of citizens at the Lekki Tollgate on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

According to a flier shared by entertainer, Folarin Falana aka Falz the Bahd guy, on his Instagram page, the procession will mirror the first anniversary, where citizens drove, walked through the tollgate to remember the victims.

All the Mega projects allocated to Bomadi LGA, where all allocated to indigene of Bomadi LGA and the various representative not outsiders, yet 5% of the projects allocated to Bomadi LGA is not completed.

The Bomadi LGA Shore protection contract was awarded to our own leaders yet they embezzled it.

The Bomadi Stadium contract was awarded to our own leaders yet they misappropriate it.

The Bomadi everyday market along Tuomo road was awarded to our own leaders, up till now the project is uncompleted due to negligent.

The Bomadi street light contract was awarded to our own leaders yet no single street light in the whole of Bomadi LGA.

The Bomadi inside road contract was awarded to our own leaders yet Bomadians have no single good road to boast about.

The Maintenance and Equipping of the Bomadi General Hospital with first class Equipment was awarded to our own leaders, even up till now the Bomadi general hospital lack equipment including human resources.

The Government College new site project was awarded to our own leaders, they have embezzled it too, they consider education as a threat to them, because they know when the people are educated, the people will speak for their right, for these reason the whole of Bomadi LGA don't have any standard government own primary and secondary school.

Maintenance and renovation of the olou primary school Bomadi was awarded to our own leaders, because they have no value for education, the project too was embezzled by them.

The Bomadi water board project was awarded to our own leaders yet Bomadi have know good drinking water.

The Bomadi Winners road projects to olou primary school was awarded to our own leaders over and over again by subsequent Government, that project too was for their own pockets, and nobody to question them.

Too many abandoned projects in this small Bomadi LGA with 11 small small communities that our various representative have embezzled, yet nobody is saying anything because of fear, my people love suffering and smiling. This has been their habit for over a decade

My people consider anyone saying these truth as someone who has no respect for elders and lack manners.

My people fear to speak because if you speak, you're considered a enemy.

My people fear to speak because if they speak, they will not receive the free monthly pay.

So, for that Majority of our people have chosen to die in silent with the current condition of Bomadi.

They have forgotten that, in the whole of Delta State, Bomadi is the only LGA that have a current SENATOR, a current House of Representatives Member, and the current Majority Leader in the State House.

My point here, if this aforementioned leaders failed to develop Bomadi LGA and it's environs for us, even if Nigeria have the best president nothing will still change.

What pains me the most is that my people still dance and celebrate our failed leaders for constantly tormenting them.

HOW A YOUNG MAN EMPTIED THE ACCOUNT OF A LADY THIS AFTERNOON AT FIRST BANK ATM CASH POINT, BOYO ROAD, SAPELE

DO NOT ALWAYS BLAME THE BANK, THE MISTAKE MIGHT BE FROM YOU

My attention was drawn to a pathetic case this afternoon

According to the story sent to me;

''A lady walked up to First Bank, Boyo Road, ATM Machine with the intention of withdrawing N98, 000 (Ninety Eight Thousand Naira Only) meant for the payment of their over due house rent. When she engaged the ATM machine with her ATM card to make the withdrawal, according to her, the machine retrieved (swallowed) the ATM card. Normally when cases like this prop up, since she is using a First Bank ATM Card on a First Bank ATM Machine, it is expected she make an immediate complaint at the customer care unit so that it can be retrieved immediately.

She did approached the appreciate unit and made her compliments, but as she was making her complaint the husband to the lady called that he received a debit alert of 109,000 which was against their earlier agreement of N98,000 (Ninety Eight Thousand Naira), it was then the lady alerted the bank of the sudden development. The bank eventually brought out the ATM card, but to her greatest surprise the card that was presented to her, though was a First Bank Card, it was different from hers" This was the story line given to me.

Instead of making a Breaking News with one of this captions;
1. FIRST BANK STAFFS/SECURITY BOYO ROAD DEFRAUDS WOMAN OF 109,000

OR

2. FIRST BANK BOYO ROAD WORKERS EMPTIED LADY'S ACCOUNT

Below were the steps I took;
First, I met with the lady in question and did a separate interview, she narrated same story in confirmation with what was sent to me. I asked her one simple question; "Did You Give Your ATM Card To Anyone? She Said No''

So i was left with just one option, since she never gave the card to anyone, then the card must have been stolen by a bank officer or one of those security who have access to the back hall of the ATM machine.

Immediately I approached the bank at about 3:30pm, by then the bank has officially closed. Then i had a little chat with the security men, presented the case, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) categorically stated that I should come with the lady tomorrow morning and the bank would review their cctv footage and only then can we state for a fact what actually transpired.

I then asked a simple question directed to the CSO, I asked; ''Is it possible for any of the bank staffs to sneak into the ATM room and then steal the ATM card, he said never, but that what ever transpired will be revealed on the footage tomorrow morning.

Leaving them I had to do more deeper thinking, as I returned to the lady in question, when i got to where she was, a spirit told me to review the debit alerts which i did, unfortunately, all the debit alert showed 3 different POS machine as shown on the photos attached, the money was not withdrawn from the ATM but from a POS, right then i knew something was wrong, then i looked at the lady and asked; did you not give or called anyone to assist you right on the ATM stand, then she casually flashed back and said, there was a guy behind her who she beaconed on to assist her when she was finding it difficult to carryout the transaction, then I asked the final question; ''Did You Give Him, Your ATM Card?" Guess what? She said YES.

NOW THIS WAS WHAT PLAYED OUT:

The young man behind the lady was having with him a First Bank Cloned ATM card, just when he was able to grasp the lady's ATM pin during the process of assisting her, he switched his cloned card with that of the lady, inserted his cloned card which will eventually be retrieved by the ATM since it is not real, after it was retrieved he told the lady that the ATM machine has swallowed her card, the lady without being cautious immediately dashed into the bank, the young man on the other hand disappeared to three different POS stand and emptied the account.

Note: The money in question was a business money sent to the lady, the husband only wanted to borrow from it to settle their house rent, and repay when he has the money, but unfortunately this happened, they were both confused and helpless as at the time i left them.

Please this should be a lesson to everyone, instead of asking strangers to assist you, please call on security operatives or officials of the bank, it is more safer. Though I am aware that some of this boys moves with charms, but we should not also suspend our senses

Irony Of An Orogun Leadership In Delta Central

It is sheer waste of time to insult people for asking questions that they consider important.
We will continue to raise issues for the interest of our people and our youths.
The Delta central senatorial seat is a collective property and not the property of one village.
There is a secret I have not told anyone before and I am going to spill it here now. What you have as Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, was actually promised to Ughelli South Local Government Area; Egbo-Uhurie community to be very specific. I don't know if it was promised to any other community for political exigencies
We made a large expanse of land available for that project with the belief that it would be sited in Egbo-Uhurie.
I am an Urhobo man and there are questions that I have a right to ask our representatives at all levels.
The project didn't get to Egbo-Uhurie, but was taken to Orogun. I really don't have a problem with that. After all, charity begins at home.
But let's look at these issues holistically. I am not interested in joining issues with illiterates and semi-literates who do not understand the dissimilarity between insults and criticism. It is not in my character to insult people.
Orogun is one out of the many kingdoms in Urhobo nation.
The Buhari administration, just like other northern-led administrations was favourable to Delta state.

Buhari gave Delta state the following major projects:

1. Federal Polytechnic

2. Law School

3. Defense Space Academy

4. Jamb CBT Center

5. Oil and Gas industrial park

6. Independent Power Plant

How do we explain this to any right thinking person that instead of equitably distributing these projects across the eight local government areas, everything was taken to Orogun?
Ughelli South has no major infrastructure. Sapele didn't get anything. Ethiope East got nothing. Okpe got nothing. Ethiope west got nothing. Udu got nothing.
After giving Orogun a Federal Polytechnic, why not site the proposed law school in another zone? Why not put the law school in Orerokpe? Even if the law school must be in Ughelli North, why not put it in a central location that everyone can access? Why same Orogun that is in the outskirt of Delta central? Would it not be risky for our students to travel through the thick forests of Orogun and expose themselves to kidnappers just to attend a law school? It can even be in Ughelli main town or somewhere along the Eruemukowharien express. Or why not site it near the UPU Center at Uvwiamuge?
Okay! Charity begins at home. Let us also leave the law school for Orogun. What about the Defense Space Academy? Why not site that one somewhere in Udu Local Government Area that has no federal institution? Udu needs federal attention. Why take a Poly, Law School and Defense Space School to only Orogun instead of giving Udu one?

Why site it at Orogun too? Why not Ughelli South? Why not Jesse? Why not Mosogar? Why not Eku? Why not Oghara? Why not Sapele? Why not Uvwie that is central? Why not Udu?
What about the Independent Power Plant? Why same Orogun? Why not any other part of Urhobo nation?
While we expect our Leaders to use their offices to better the lives of their people, chronic nepotism is not something any right thinking person should encourage.
It is not an insult to question such chronic nepotism. It is just a matter of right as a constituent and as an Urhobo man.
