After denying Jesus for the third time, Peter remembered Jesus' words: 'Before the rooster crows, you'll deny me three times.' Overwhelmed with regret and sorrow, Peter broke down and wept bitterly, acknowledging his failure and the depth of his betrayal.

This moment marks a turning point for Peter, as he confronts the reality of his own weaknesses and the gravity of his denial. His tears represent a genuine repentance, paving the way for his future restoration and role as a leader in the early Christian Church

_Peter's message to the crowd on the day of Pentecost was clear: to receive forgiveness and new life in Jesus, they needed to:_

*1* Repent (change their heart and ways): Turn away from sin and turn towards God.
*2* Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ: Publicly declare their faith and identify with Jesus.
*3* Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit: Experience the presence, power, and guidance of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

- Public declaration of faith through baptism
