PHOTOS: MOMS AND INFANT CARE NETWORK CONDUCTS FREE HEALTH SCREENING IN GBARAMATU KINGDOM

Residents of Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri Southwest Local Government Area of Delta State were engulfed with joy as Moms and Infant Care Network (MICN) conducted free health screening for both mothers, fathers, and children.

The event took place on Saturday, 16 March, 2024 at Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

A lot of health screening was done, and items worth millions of naira were distributed to the nursing mothers and to the general population after a raffle draw.

The MICN distributed health materials such as, free blood pressure machines, breast milk pump, babybed/crib, treated mosquito nets, free pampers, baby milk/food, pads, free medicated eye-glasses, free health screening and examinations, free medications, N5,000 cash prices to Community members and lots more.

The convener, Dr. Praise Ebimaye Tangbe, an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Movement Sciences at Connecticut State University in the United States of America, revealed that the event is a pre-launching ceremony, added that the initiative is set to mitigate maternal and child morbidity and to improve the health and well-being of women, children, families and across the globe.
