*BREAKING NEWS.........*

News has just reach us now is that a tanker truck with 33,000 litres of PMS going to Ilorin at a very high speed and another passenger bus carrying 18 passengers faced each other this afternoon at Ode remo town in Ogun state; the bus was on "One Way".
As the tanker driver sighted the oncoming passengers bus which was also on top speed, he slowed down only to discovered that the driver of the passengers bus was his childhood friend. Both stopped their vehicles, greeted and wished each other Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance before taking off again.💕💕💕💕💕💕

How we turn wrong doing to our normal lifestyle and acceptable societal norm baffles me.

Today in my school, a junior student precisely a JSS1 student sent a JSS2 student (both female) an errand to buy her sachet water from the primary section of the school.

When she came, the Director and one of the teachers were at the gate entrance. Director stopped her and asked her why she wants to drink chilled water this early morning but she said it was another student that sent her. She actually mentioned the student's name (that was the mistake she made).

Director then asked what class she is. She responded that she is in JSS2. She was reminded that the other student is in JSS1 while she in JSS2, that it should have been the other way round.

While all these were playing out, I was by the corner of school's building listening but immediately the mentioned that a SENIOR STUDENT should be the one sending a JUNIOR errand I came out. I had to tell them to leave the children alone and allow them display HUMILITY but Director wouldn't have it.

He went further to say that at the boarding house, senior students send junior errand and even collect junior's snacks after punishing them.🥲🥲🥲🥲🙄🙄🙄😳😳😲😲

I was stupefied that an elderly person couldn't detect BULLYING in display. I quickly told them such act is BULLYING which should never be encouraged in school and reminded them to allow the student remain humble and act in HUMILITY towards one another.

The other teacher was still trying to persuade me to believe that Senior student running errand for a Junior is STUPIDITY (imagine the ideology?), I made him understand what Humility means.

So I want to ask, is it wrong for a Junior student to send a Senior student errand?

First Term Examination has started in the schools in my area.

On my way to work this morning, I saw a women and her two children: she was taking them to school. There were a boy and a girl. The boy, she strapped to her back but held the girl by her right hand. I was rightly behind them.

As I got closer, I heard the mum asking the girl questions on Mathematics. I knew she is having Mathematics exam today. I was so thrilled that I smiled at her while greeting her when we got to the junction to part ways.

If only all parents can be like this woman, teachers wont stress too much.

Parents, do your children or wards more favour this vacation

First of all, don't just follow these two trends - summer classes and coding programs for children.

Note:
there is nothing wrong with summer classes or coding, but you can be more intentional with your child than following the trends.

secondly, your children need rest, they need to play, they need to visit relatives and places.

Visitation is part of education.

Back to my topic.

Now, how can you be of more help to your child this summer?

While choosing activities to occupy your children this vacation, put their natural gifting/talent into consideration.

If you discover your child naturally likes drawing, take him to an artist within you to be with them.

If you notice your child has special eyes for images, I mean snapping photos, take her to a photo studio, that is his environment.

If you discover your child likes construction, either mechanical, electrical, civil or what have you, take them to where they are doing those things and put them there.

If it's sound, take him to a music school. Change environment.

The good thing is that
They will not only learn in those places, but they will also have clearer images of their imagination, which will boost their sense of focus and innovation.

They will also feel the possibilities of those imaginary dots connecting themselves and becoming reality. These alone, boost confidence and grit.

They will witness the mode of operations in that place, which will help them understand that talent is not enough, patience and process are paramount.

They will witness discipline and time management.

They will witness different clients' or customers' actions and reactions and how they are been resolved, this will help them gain access to practical conflict resolution and human management skills.

They will hear about pricing and costing, this will let them know that their giftings or talents are worth charging for and that they can earn a living with it.

At the end of the vacation, you will see that feelings of self-fulfilment in the life of your child. and there is no way your child will be happy and you won't feel so too.

Note:
Put their age into consideration while choosing a place for them. A little child can't be sent to a mechanic workshop, nor will a mature teenager be sent to a toy zone.

How do you know your children's natural gifting or talent?

One of the ways is by watching them do what they like doing, example.
If you put many children in a room filled with different toys, you will notice they will be doing different things, also playing with different toys. Some will be building houses with blocks, some painting their daddies, some singing with invincible guitar, some teaching ghost students, and so on.

Those are their natural giftings. If you are lucky to catch them in that mood, take advantage of it, and take them to where they belong this holiday.

Note:
I did not say, invite a professional to come and teach them, I said take them to where those things are done. It's called environmental education.
