πŸ“– And He was CLOTHED with a VESTURE DIPPED in blood: and He name is called THE WORD OF GOD. (Revelation 19:13 KJV)

πŸ“– For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVETH in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING life. (John 3:16)

πŸ‘‰ As Lord Jesus is the Word of God, the promise of everlasting life, is only for those who believe and obey every word of God. We have to go through the Word of God (Jesus) to get to the Heavenly Father. Remember many are called (Saved), but only a few will be chosen (Salvation). Let's run the race set before us, fight the good FIGHT of FAITH and ENDURE till the end. Because the salvation of our souls is at the END of our faith. Learn Scripture and FOLLOW Lord Jesus.

AG ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 24 IN BRIEF
DECEMBER 15, 2024

TOPIC: COMMUNITY IN THE KINGDOM

TEXT: MATTHEW 18:1-35

MEMORY VERSE: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother - MATT 18:15.

CENTRAL TRUTH: Church fellowship is Kingdom fellowship.

INTRO
Every community has its values, norms, and beliefs governing the affairs of its people. In the same vein, an ideal Christian community runs the affairs of the Kingdom with biblical values or God's wisdom. That is why issues arising as a result of tension, leadership, insurbordination, conflicts must be resolved with the use of God's wisdom in any true church setting so that this issues would not thwart our Kingdom impacts. So the objective of today's Lesson is to help us understand Jesus' definition of greatness (power or position), and to help us practice biblical principles in regards to discipline, forgiveness, unity in the body of Christ.
So for a detailed analysis on this, the lesson shall be discussed with the following outlines;
1. Greatness In The Kingdom
2. Corrective Discipline In The Church
3. Forgiveness In The Kingdom

GREATNESS IN THE KINGDOM - MATT18:1-14
πŸ‘‰Jesus' definition of greatness or position/power in the church community anchors in being humble and having the heart to seek for the lost.
πŸ“ŒLessons Gained: In this community of God's kingdom there are parameters set for our own greatness. Jesus liken greatness in this kingdom to the humility of a little child (ie, insignificant people) - which is characterised by honesty, faith, forgiveness and Love. Jesus continued by implying that unless we turn from our sins of dishonesty, unfaithfulness, unforgiveness, hatred and become like little children that we will not enter the kingdom of heaven. And anyone who is as humble as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Growth of the Kingdom":

*Title:* The Growth of the Kingdom: Understanding God's Plan
How
*Bible Text:* Matthew 13:1-33, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20

*Objective:* To understand the growth of God's kingdom and our role in it.

*Introduction:*

The kingdom of God is a central theme in the Bible. It refers to God's reign and rule over all creation. As believers, we are part of this kingdom and are called to participate in its growth. In this lesson, we'll explore the growth of the kingdom and our role in it.

*The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23)*

Jesus taught a parable about a sower who scattered seeds on different types of soil. The seeds represent the message of the kingdom, and the soil represents the hearts of people. The parable teaches us that:

1. The kingdom grows through the proclamation of the Gospel (Matthew 13:3-4).
2. The response to the Gospel varies, with some people rejecting it and others receiving it with joy (Matthew 13:5-23).
3. The kingdom grows as people respond to the Gospel and bear fruit (Matthew 13:23).

*The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)*

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His disciples the Great Commission:

1. Go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).
2. Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
3. Teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:20).

*The Growth of the Kingdom (Acts 1:8)*

After Jesus ascended into heaven, the disciples received the Holy Spirit and began to spread the Gospel. Acts 1:8 says:

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

*Our Role in the Growth of the Kingdom*

As believers, we are part of the kingdom of God and are called to participate in its growth. Here are some ways we can do this:

1. Share the Gospel with others (Matthew 28:19-20).
2. Make disciples and teach them to obey Jesus' commands (Matthew 28:20
