LG Election: A’Ibom Political Scene in Flux as Governor Eno Travels, Etinan, Etim Ekpo chairmanship hopeful confirmed

A palpable sense of uncertainty has swept through Akwa Ibom State's political circles, as news has emerged that Governor Eno has departed on a trip, leaving local government stakeholders in limbo.

Amidst mounting speculation regarding the selection of preferred candidates for the Etinan and Etim Ekpo local Government, Uko Umo and Gideon Uwa have reportedly been identified as frontrunners for these respective roles through grapevines sources.

As the meeting is being presided by the Deputy Governor, Her Sen. Akon Eyakenyi and SSG, Hon. Prince Enobong Uwah in government house, there are indications that other local government that had disagreements in presenting consensus candidates will be handled.

REP. JIMBO FACILITATES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT JOB TO CONSTITUENT

In his avowed commitment to share prosperity and elevate members of his constituency to an enviable height, Rep. Inemesit Clement Jimbo, Honourable Member Representing Abak, Etim Ekpo & Ika Federal Constituency at the National Assembly today presented an appointment letter to one of her constituents.

The appointment is one of the numerous jobs facilitated by Rep. Jimbo to his Constituents in which Miss Treasure John, a graduate of Accounting Department from the prestigious University of Uyo has been gainfully employed as Auditor II at the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation.

Presenting the letter of appointment to Miss Treasure John, at his office at the National Assembly in Abuja, Hon. Jimbo, urged her to be a good ambassador of Abak, Etim Ekpo & Ika Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large and should give her best to move Nigeria to greater heights.

The Federal Lawmaker further prayed that she will grow to the Zenith of Civil Service as a career civil servant and paid a one year house rent in Abuja to enable her resume work smoothly.

The beneficiary of the Federal Lawmaker's magnanimity, Miss Treasure John, an indigene of Ikot Obong Ediene in Abak Local Government Area, who was elated, thanked Rep. Jimbo for facilitating the job for her when she least expected and prayed God to bless and give him more grace to impact more on his Constituents.

STATES THAT WILL NOT RECEIVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ALLOCATION IN JULY

From July, the Federal Government will halt the allocation of local government funds to 20 states.

This is in adherence to the landmark ruling on the local government autonomy suit by the Supreme Court on Thursday.

The Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, represented the Nigerian Government in this case.

The court’s ruling barred the Federal Government from distributing allocations to local governments led by officials who were appointed rather than elected.

Justice Emmanuel Agim, who presided over the case, directed that local government funds should no longer be paid through state governments, stating that governors have misused this process.

He pointed out that governors have been retaining and utilizing these funds improperly, which negatively affects the local government councils.

Consequently, the 20 states that lack elected local government chairmen will be barred from receiving local government funds starting in July until they hold elections.

The affected states are Jigawa, Rivers, Anambra, Imo, Kwara, Zamfara, Bauchi, Plateau, Abia, Enugu, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, Yobe, Ondo, Osun, Delta, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Benue.

The 36 states and the FCT received N293.82bn from the federal government on behalf of the 774 local government areas in the country for the month of July.

A wife suspected her husband of having s.ex with the helper, then she set a trap for the husband by sending the auntie to the village for weekend without telling the husband.

At night, the husband told his usual story "Darling i want to go and watch soccer in the sitting room" and he left.

The wife silently went to the house maid's room lying down on the bed naked without any light, and the door was open and someone join her on the bed without wasting time and without a word, he had se.x with her.

After the fifth round she said, it's enough, i have caught you, so this is how you use to have s.ex with her, and you will do two round with me and tell me you are tired; fifth round now you are still demanding for more hubby?

The security shouted and replied "AM SORRY MADAM I DON'T KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE!

Madam shouted "OH MY GOD!", then the husband rushed in and caught them.

Moral Lesson: Trust is one of the keys to a happy home. Suspicion could bring disaster in marriage in every ramifications.
