MESSAGE: DIVINE ASSURANCE
PREACHER: Apostle Isaiah G. Effiong
TEXT:- John 17:15 (NLT)
“I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.”
HOSANNA! NOW AND FOREVER!!!
We bless the name of Jesus Christ who is so faithful and kind to us even when the world is been ravaged with the pandemic of Corona Virus and other unforeseen disasters, God remains kind to us. In the premise of His Assurance for us, we will be looking at the Divinity of the hope we have in Him and the power of His might to sustain, defend and rescue us from every attack of the wicked through His word which lives in us.
According to Merriam Webster dictionary, ASSURANCE is define as:-
¶ the state of being sure or certain about something
¶ a strong feeling of confidence about yourself or being right
¶ confidence of mind or manner; easy freedom from self doubt or uncertainty
¶ something that inspires or tends to inspire confidence
While DIVINE is
¶ of, relating to, or proceeding directly from God
¶ being a diety
Therefore, DIVINE ASSURANCE is the hope that God is, will, stands sure, can help-no matter the times and and season. We are in a state of dilemma and perplexity throwing the world into the land of wonderings and commotion where even the church is not left out. We lost it as a church because of our pride, denominational barriers of ingenuity in grace, arrogance of anointing, segmental differences (cabals) and falsification of prophecies. God can not allow this pandemic to ravage the world without forewarning through human messengers in rhema and burdensome teachings; but stylish lifestyle, digital commercialisation and contemporary competition among the body of Christ than righteous.
The good news here is that there is HOPE. Yes, the pandemic is real but clear reality is that God has arose to set us free. We have that confidence according to 1John 5:18(NLT), “We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them”. Therefore, we who are born of God (repented of nativity) are no more under the snare of Satan neither alliance with any form of evil. The preoccupancy of sin causes separation from divinity and allow candidates to the fatalities of their sorrows, agony and ceaseless pains.
So, today there is hope for all and this hope comes from God. I remember what David the great King sang in Psalm 121. World powers are submounted and technically suspender to really prove what David said in verse 7:- “The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life”. Who will say that world powers are not in hidings today? Every man's soul is distressed within him or her leaving many in the hands of fate(including self acclaimed Christians). Today we have uncountable questioned teachings across globe just to maintain relevance but hear me child of God, if God in Isaiah 26:20-21 instructed His people to “hide” yesterday, He is still talking today let no man or woman deceive you to run into the hand of an Angry God.
God is not a gambler nor ready to gamble with His own properties - world and all that is in it. 2020 is a year of DIVINE HELP, religious knowledge is rebellion with divinity. Popularity has blinded the eyes of our hearts and the chip for self had destroyed the band of faith that surrounded us from the day of our salvation. Only the God of Heaven can save us now. Therefore, let us arise in the arm of our faith trusting Him who brought us out of darkness into His own marvelous light (not modernized serenity nor social status) where our efforts can't keep us nor aid us.
IT IS TIME TO PRAY AND ACT IN ACCORDANCE TO HIS WILL AND WORD
1. Lord, break me and cause my pride to cease.
2. Terristial and Celestial beings influencing me, I renounce your powers now off my life.
3. Every gods, deities and legends hosting nativity against divinity in my heart, I overcome you by the blood of Jesus Christ.
4. Entities of spiritual and physical authorities and powers claiming the righteousness of the God of Heaven, I force you to surrender.
5. I take total delivery of our God-given ASSURANCE in Christ to say: “As in the days of the mother in law of Simon Peter where fever could obey Jesus, I decree CORONA VIRUS and all your allied ravaging the world and souls of men; melt out your spirit to death and free every soul you have chained all over the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Father, re-unite our faith in Jesus that the hearken will know that You are God.
