This lady met a man on Facebook. They chatted and agreed to meet in a hotel.

They met and she was paid. Unknown to the man, she videoed him.

She then used the video to blackmail him asking for N15 million. He refused. She then spread the video on Facebook.

He reported to the DSS, they arrested and charged her to court.

Her bail alone is N5 million plus landed property.

This happened in Yenagoa. She has been taken to the Okaka Prison.

Court remands Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody and adjourns trial till 10th November.

Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected the request of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to be moved from DSS custody to Kuje Correctional Service Centre. This is the second time Kanu’s request has been turned down by the court.

In July, the IPOB leader asked to be moved to the prison, alleging that he had been “subjected to mental and psychological torture” by the Department of State Services (DSS).
At the court session on Thursday, October 21, Kanu pleaded not guilty to an amended seven-count charge bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism preferred against him by the federal government.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, his lead counsel, asked the court to transfer him from the custody of the DSS to Kuje prison.

The presiding judge, Justice Binta
Nyako, refused the application and adjourned the case till November 10.

Nnamdi Kanu asks his followers to fast ahead of his arraignment on Thursday.

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has asked his supporters to embark on a dry fasting ahead of his arraignment on Thursday, 21st of October.

His lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, revealed this after his routine visit to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader in detention.

In a statement released online, Ejiofor said that Kanu was in high spirit and is ready for the Thursday arraignment.

His statement reads
“Thankfully, the Federal Government of Nigeria is fully aware of this date, and more compelling is the fact that the detaining authority has since over a month ago, concluded every purported investigation into the matter.

Hence, no plausible excuse will be available to them not to produce Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in court come Thursday, the 21st Day of October 2021. You must all see him live and direct on this date”, the statement read in part.

Onyendu advised his supporters and millions of followers to go into dry fasting as the D-Day approaches, because resounding victory will be ours on this date and the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama will be given the glory and adoration in the end, Iseee!!!

POLICE ARREST AND TORTURE YOUTH TO DEATH IN UYO.

- The Deceased families side of the story.

Kubiat Isaac Akpan was on Sunday 29th August 2021 arrested by Men of the Nigerian police force B Division Ewet Housing Estate. The Deceased was allegedly whisked away by the policemen with allegations that he was fingered in a robbery incident.

On arrival at the station, No case was filed against Kubiat neither was his arrest documented but he was thrown into the Cell where he was allegedly tortured to death and his co**se deposited at the Mortuary at the Force headquarters at Ikot Akpan Abia. All this happened without the knowledge of his family.

On Monday 30th August, Friends and relatives of the Deceased began a search for him and this yielded no fruit because his arrest wasn't documented at any of the police stations.

The police denied knowledge of his whereabouts until a relative of the deceased placed a call to the Commissioner of police whose efforts led to the revelations of his arrest, unlawful detention and torture to death.

The police upon the intervention of the Commissioner acknowledged his arrest but have however denied torturing Kubiat known on Facebook as " PDP ICON". According to the family, the police is now claiming Kubiat was sick and died in custody from health complications not torture.

The story as given by the police according to family sources raises concerns as to why his arrest was not properly documented and why the police denied knowledge of his whereabouts at first. Kubiat was arrested in perfect condition of health thus the family is left with one viable explanation for his painful demise.

The Public outcry by friends and family members for Justice will grow with the days and it is only proper that the police releases a statement explaining how Kubiat died in their Custody.

Gunmen have killed a female final year student of Rivers State polytechnic

Two persons were killed and one injured when gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded Ka-Bori community in the Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the community at 6am on Sunday, August 29, shot indiscriminately and killed a man and a female student of the Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic Bori, identified as Burabari Sunday.

The Chairman of Khana LGA, Dr Thomas Bariere, who confirmed the incident, described it as an act of terrorism.

"The two persons that were confirmed dead are from Gokana LGA. One of them is from Lewe. I am in touch with my colleague in Gokana. We are putting our heads together to forestall any crisis that may result from this," he said.

"You can agree with me that if this situation is not put under control, it can metamorphose into a Khana-Gokana crisis. Clearly, those who launched the attack this morning came in through Uegura-Boue. We are consulting and compiling the names of those who perpetrated the act this morning. The security agents are also putting their searchlight on them.”

The council boss said the killings started on Monday August 23, adding that innocent people were being killed.

"The killings on Monday were all innocent people. The killings in the early hours of today are also innocent people. So it is not an issue of a cult war anymore; what we are seeing is nothing but terrorism," he added.

The Public Relations Officer of Kono-Boue Community Development Committee, Golden Nwibakpo, denied that the attackers were from his community.

"Kono-Biue people are still mourning the five people they lost last Monday. Some of the victims have not been buried because the bodies were in the bush. So, how could they have planned an attack from Kono-Boue, passed through Uegura and other places to Ka-Bori to shoot?” Nwibakpo said.

With his imminent return to Manchester United, there is now talk about the shirt number Cristiano Ronaldo will take at the club.

Ronaldo is set for a sensational return to Old Trafford after Manchester City pulled out of talks to sign him from Juventus.

The 36-year-old first signed for the Red Devils in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon.

He won three league titles and a Champions League trophy before he departed in a then world-record transfer to Real Madrid in 2009.

During his first spell with United, Ronaldo inherited the number 7 shirt from David Beckham.

He has continued to play with the shirt even at Real Madrid and Juventus.

At Juventus, Juan Cuadrado had to vacate the shirt for the Portugal captain.

However, Edinson Cavani, who joined United last year, has taken the number 7 shirt. Cavani is yet to feature for the club this season, having been given an extended break.

It remains to be seen if the Uruguay striker will also vacate the shirt for Ronaldo, who many years ago registered the CR7 brand for his fashion, menswear and hotel businesses.

Manchester United have secured the incredible £19.7 million capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from under the noses of rivals Manchester City in one of the most dramatic days in Premier League transfer history.

City started the day in pole position to land the 36 year-old before United agreed a fee with Juventus to sign him 12 years after he left Old Trafford for Real Madrid.

Portugal teammate Bruno Fernandes spoke to Ronaldo when it emerged he would be available and United sources believe Sir Alex Ferguson may have contacted him.

The five-time Ballon D’Or winner will undergo a medical in Lisbon and is expected to stay in Portugal for the international break before coming back to England to make his second United debut.

United moved late for Ronaldo after City had made the early running, just like they did with Alexis Sanchez in 2018.

The Premier League champions explored a deal but wanted to sign Ronaldo as a free transfer.

United’s negotiations were swift and a fee was agreed with £12.85m paid up front and £6.85m in add-ons.

Pep Guardiola turned to Ronaldo as an alternative after missing out on Harry Kane, but it became apparent the deal was slipping away when he spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash against Arsenal. “Right now it looks far, far, away," said the Spaniard, shortly before City pulled out of the race altogether.

United sources have indicated they felt Ronaldo would not turn them down once their interest in a sensational return was made. After winning three league titles and a Champions League under Ferguson, during talks he told United he could be part of a new era of success and has "unfinished business" at the club.

He will be the oldest outfield player in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad but the club felt the two-year package was still getting them one of the best players in the world. He was Serie A top scorer last season and the Golden Boot winner in this summer’s Euros.

Some at United believe he has many seasons ahead of him in the Premier League.

“I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days,” Ronaldo said in a statement. “The tiffosi bianconeri always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition.

“In the end, we can all look back and realise that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.”

United have suffered losses of £150m linked to the Covid-19 pandemic but Ronaldo’s arrival is set to boost their commercial income.

Fans railed against the club’s Glazer owners for attempting to join the European Super League breakaway but focus has now shifted to the excitement of signing Ronaldo, along with Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, this summer.

It is yet to be decided which shirt number their returning hero will wear, with Edinson Cavani currently using the No 7 which Ronaldo wore during his first spell at the club. Cavani has been away from United for the start of the season for personal reasons but is expected to return.

Solskjaer opened the door for Ronaldo’s return on Friday when he revealed Fernandes had been speaking to his Portugal teammate. “He’s such a legend of this club,” said Solskjaer. “I didn’t think Cristiano would end up leaving Juventus.

“If you ask me, he is the greatest player of all time. I was fortunate enough to play with him, I coached him when I got my job. He is such a tremendous human being as well, so let’s see what happens with Cristiano. Everyone who has played with him has a soft spot for him.

“We've always had a good communication. Bruno has been talking to him as well and he knows what we feel about him.”

Solskjaer now has a frontline that includes Ronaldo, Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, plus Cavani. He also insists Jesse Lingard is part of his plans. The United boss believes he has another leader in his squad now, who can help youngsters like Greenwood develop by following his example in training and in his lifestyle off the pitch.

“Wow wow wow, he’s home,” wrote Rashford on his social media platforms.

While City and United were in negotiations for Ronaldo, there were understood to be other interested parties in signing him when it became apparent he wanted to leave Juve for a new challenge after three years in Italy.
