Work on projecting your voice. Since members of an audience may be sitting rows away, work on enunciating your words clearly and loudly. Stay away from ci******es, alcohol, and anything that dehydrates your vocal cords and prevents you from performing.
If you’re acting a film, pay attention to the mood of the scene. You don’t want to be loud and projecting while everyone else is sad.

MY ADVICE TO ALL ASPIRING/UPCOMING ARTISTES!

The need to join AGN cannot be overemphasized, membership with a PRODUCTION HOUSE is imperative and compulsory if really you want to go far in the Entertainment Industry.
AGN only gives you license to shoot and operate as an Actor/Actress in so far as the Entertainment Industry is concerned.
You can only be featured in a movie organized by a Production House or AGN itself if you are good, sound and able to interpret your role effectively.
The AGN does not train artistes and does not have a specified day or time table for training or teaching upcoming actors.
They only call a general audition when there is a movie project (from individual) from where they select characters for movie.
It is the duty of a Production House to prepare, train and teach upcoming actors.
THE TECHNICAL TRAINING AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF ACTING CAN ONLY BE ACQUIRED IN A PRODUCTION HOUSE AND NOT BY JOINING THE AGN.

The principles of stage and set performance, languages and other General knowledge can only be derived by joining and committing yourself to a Production House.
Most artistes lose their roles at the location because they are not prepared and have not received adequate teachings about acting. Opportunities will keep coming in life. Important question is how developed are you?
How prepared are you? People spend time preparing for everything in life.
When it comes to acting, some think all they need to do is to register with AGN and afterwords you become a super star.
My dear upcoming artiste it doesn't work that way. It is your preparation that determines your experience.
You don't learn how to arm in the battle field, you do that before the battle begins. In the same way, you don't learn how to act on set., You do that before the shooting begins.
Pls take this business seriously and you will make a living from it.
