AN UNDEFINED PROTEST ROCKS A COMMUNITY (NAME WITHHELD) IN ABIA STATE | The Nation Biafra

Speculations have it, as it may, that the protesting youths of the said community are so doing to register their dissatisfied expectations of what transpired between the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja and the legal team of our great leader, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. She, Chief Judge Binta Nyako, declined the prayers (to transfer his client, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to Kuje Prison in the same Abuja other than returning him to the facilities of the Department Of State Security, DSS) which were made by the lead counsel to the legal team of our leader, hence adjourning the next Court hearing to November 10th, 2021.

Meanwhile, some members of the global family of the Indigenous People Of Biafra - IPOB, were excited to see the handsome face of our indefatigable leader; after his extraordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria some four (4) months ago.

Please note that the next possible appearance of our great leader, in Binta Nyako's court in Abuja is just twenty (20) days from today. Let's keep the hope of his unconditional freedom alive, even as we should continue to intercede on his behalf; putting all our unmovable trust and confidence in God Almighty.

Stay tuned for more details in regards to this current development and more...

"As for us Ambazonias, we are already free! We have defeated Cameroon because we made a conscious decision that because occupation is pre-dedicated on economic exploitation, we were going to stop the Occupier from exploiting our resources. We made a determination also that because occupation is pre-dedicated on political legitimacy, we made sure that we de-legitimize the occupiers in our Home Land. We also realized that political stability is critical for the survival of the occupiers, we made our land ungovernable. All of these strategies have crumbled Cameroonian politics in Ambazonia."

Happy Sunday Family Members 🌅

The Bible, according to the book of Ecclesiastes said "there's nothing new upon the face of the earth."

Afghanistan has 400,000 soldiers yet the country was taken by Taliban who has at most 75,000 fighters.

How was a nation taken with little or no blood shed?

The story goes back to early 2000's

When US and NATO defeated Taliban

Many of the Taliban fighters did not run out of Afghanistan..

A lot of negotiations took place with tribal leaders of these fighters.

As a result many of these fighters simply dropped their arms and were recruited into the Afghani Army.

They remained in the army waiting for a day US will leave Afghanistan.

They got promotions, training, ammunition and money from US for those 20 years legally.

As soon as US left, they simply went back to what they have been doing ...although now as the nation's power brokers

The former Taliban leader is now the Head of Government of Afghanistan.

That is what Boko Haram are doing with this surrender and forgiveness

They are doing "if you can't beat them, join them"

Sadly, Buhari and his Top military echelon are in support of it

Recruiting Boko haram straight into the army.

Those Boko haram boys are getting trained and they are waiting for the day they will unleash their terror.

You think the Minister of defense was joking when he said in an interview that

A REPENTANT BOKO HARAM CAN ONE DAY BE THE PRESIDENT....

That is the plan.....to turn this nation to an Islamic Emirate.

You might think ....it is not possible.

But look back at what you said won't be possible before 2015.....are they not our reality today?

Wake up !

There is fire on the mountain.

TODAY IN HISTORY: The first shots of the Nigerian civil war were fired in 1967. Only 6th July 1967 in Gakem, a town in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River state, troops from the Nigerian Army's 1st Division led by Major Mohammed Shuwa at about 5.30 am launched an artillery shell aimed at the Biafran soldiers camped around the hill in the town.

We warn the Nigerian authorities on the issue of Nnamdi Kanu ~ Israel

Israel's new prime minister Naptalif Benneft says the arrest of Nnamdi KANU by the Nigerian government is a violation of international law.

Israeli Foreign Minister Ehud Olmert has described the struggle for statehood as a "fundamental right of every human being."

He described Nnamdi KANU as an activist and gorzo in southeastern Nigeria and Nnamdi KANU's work is the work of activists apart from his religious work

He finally called on the United Nations to intervene in Biafra issue!

The removal of Trump is a plan and conjunction of countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Iran, China and Britain, note that evil countries knows themselves.
They conjugated against Trump because he was ready to do things that will not favour them, well known to their own selfish interest.
Each of the named countries lobby money as bribery for election rig.
One of their purpose is they want to stop Biafra from rising, that's why even UN kept quiet because they're also among for some injustice going on in some countries.
Britain and Nigeria started the plan to abduct Mazi Nnamdi Kanu when he resurface in Israel in 2019 and still planning heavily last year 2020.

These countries I mentioned teemed up; How? Britain and Nigeria did underground work with Obama and Kenya president.
Obama is an insider of American government, a member of a radical left called the Democrat, already the Democrat has their own agenda to remove Trump.
The silent of Britain and Nigeria was because Biafrans are supporting Trump of which they know that Trump can grant Biafra so that peace will rain.

The devil in Africa; countries knows what Kenya can do as an evil government they are, because what they did to Nnamdi Kanu is well known for what they did to others before our leader.
Obama came from Kenya, Britain and Nigeria works with same Kenya to remove their threat/Trump from office before their plan to abduct Nnamdi Kanu will be set.

Their plan works successfully because later it was same Britain and Kenya executed the plan finally in a diplomatic system.

Blacks/Africa was one of the reasons God came to deliver from the shackles of evil/wickedness through Jesus Christ yet the evil that lives in black man still keep them in bo***ge.

We must not forget every records of the workers of evil. 😐

The Presbyterian Church Of Biafra In 1858

In April 1846, at the invitation of the two kings of Calabar, a team of missionaries from the Church of Scotland Mission, led by Rev. Hope Masterton Waddell, arrived Calabar where they set up the first congregation of what is now known as The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria.. From Calabar, the Church began to grow. In 1858, it was constituted as the Presbytery of Biafra. This Presbytery of Biafra metamorphosed into the The Presbyterian Synod of Biafra in 1921. The Church continued to witness remarkable growth until 1945, when the Presbyterian Church of Biafra was constituted, with the Synod as its highest court. In the same year, the white missionaries handed over the Church administration to Nigerians. The Presbyterian Church of Biafra became the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Nigeria in 1952. By 16th June, 1960, the Mission Church integration was completed and the Church changed its name to the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria. In 1985, the Syond met in Afikpo and agreed to create Regional Synods with the General Assembly as the highest decision making body. This decision materialized on the 22nd August, 1987, when the General Assembly was inaugurated at the Duke Town Presbyterian Church, Calabar. After the creation of the General Assembly, two regional Synods were created in 1988. These were the East and the South-East Synods. As at today, the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria has nine Regional Synods.

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria is a part of the Holy Catholic or Universal Church. It is one of the results of the Protestant Reformation that was begun in 1517 AD. It worships one God Almighty in the Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It rejoices in the sovereign grace of God towards humanity and creation and confesses our Lord Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God who was crucified for the salvation of humankind and who is the Head of the Universal Church. It believes in the Word of God as contained in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as its supreme rule of faith and life. The Church proclaims the gospel of the kingdom of God and invites all to receive the forgiveness of sins and the acceptance by God through faith in Jesus Christ and the gift of eternal life.

From its humble beginning in Calabar in 1846, the Church has been firmly established in Nigeria with congregations spread across the country. The Church has nine Regional Synods, over fifty Presbyteries and more than two thousand parishes, congregations, outreaches and mission fields spread across the entire country. It also has a Mission Presbytery covering the Republics of Benin and Togo. The Regional Synods are those of Akwa (covering Akwa Ibom State, with office in Uyo); Calabar (parts of Cross River State, with office in Calabar); East (parts of Abia State, with office in Ohafia); East Central (Enugu and Anambra States as well as parts of Ebonyi State, with office in Abakaliki); Mid East (parts of Ebonyi State with office in Afikpo); North (covering the Northern States of Nigeria, with office in Abuja); South Central (Rivers, Bayelsa and Imo States as well as parts of Abia State, with office in Aba); Upper Cross River (covering parts of Cross River State, with office in Ugep) and West (covering Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Edo and Delta States as well as the Mission Presbytery of Cotonou/Lome, with office in Yaba, Lagos).

STRUCTURE: The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, like other Presbyterian Churches in the world, is ruled by Elders. These are classified into two - the Teaching Elders (ordained clergy) and the Ruling Elders. Both the Teaching and Ruling Elders come together to constitute the ‘courts’ of the Church through which they govern the Church. The Presbyterian Church of Nigerian has four courts - the Kirk Session, the Presbytery, the Synod and the General Assembly. b) Polity: The government of the Church is Presbyterian – a system of governance in which the Elders rule, based on democratic principles. The government is exercised through a court system, as stated above. The courts are the following: i) Session: The Session consists of a Minister (or Ministers) and Ruling Elders who exercise rule under Jesus Christ in all matters affecting the spiritual well-being and order of the Congregation/s. ii) Presbytery: The Presbytery is made up of the Ministers and the representative Elders of the Sessions that constitute the Court as determined by the Synod. It exercises oversight and rule over the Ministers (including those on probation) and Students for the ministry as well as the Sessions and Congregations within its bound. iii) Synod: This Court consists of all the members of Presbyteries together with such representatives of local interests of the Church as may be authorized by the General Assembly. The Synod acts as an Appeal Court over the Presbyteries within its bounds and also considers matters of local concern to the Church. iv) General Assembly: The General Assembly is the Supreme Court of the Church. In all matters that concern the Church, its decisions are final. It exercises oversight and rule over the Sessions, Presbyteries, and Synods as well as the Church as a whole.

Since its advent in Nigeria, the Presbyterian Church has been vigorously involved in evangelism and social action in fulfillment of its divine obligations. a. Evangelism: From its humble beginning in Calabar in 1846, the Church has been firmly established in Nigeria with parishes spread across the country. Congregations and parishes have been established in all parts of the country and a Mission Presbytery set up even as far as Cotonou and Lome covering the Republics of Benin and Togo respectively. b. Education: Over the years, the Church has been involved in the education sub-sector through the numerous primary and post-primary schools established and run by Parishes, Presbyteries and Synods. It is interesting to note that in 1895, the Church founded one of the foremost educational institutions in Nigeria - the Hope Waddell Training Institution, Calabar. The institution has since been in the fore-front of producing the educated elites of this country, the number of which includes such names as the first President of Nigeria, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and the first Governor of Eastern Nigeria, Dr. Akanu Ibiam. In furtherance of its commitment to the education sub-sector, the Church has established a degree-awarding institution - the Presbyterian Health Institute, Uburu, Ebonyi State. The Institute, which is affiliated to the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, in the award of degrees in Nursing and related disciplines, is an arm of the Pres byterian Joint Hospital (PJH), Uburu. In addition to the Institute, the Church runs two degree-awarding Theological Institutions - Hugh Goldie Lay Theological Training Institution, Arochukwu, Abia State (founded in 1918) and the Essien Ukpabio Presbyterian Theological College, Itu, Akwa Ibom State (1994). c. Health/Agriculture: Health programmes are veritable tools inthe hand of the Church for salvation. The Church, under a deliberate policy to care for the body as well as the soul, has over the years established and run hospitals and health centres in parts of the country. These include: -Mary Slessor Joint Hospital (MSJH), Itu, Akwa Ibom State. -Eja Memorial Joint Hospital (EMJH), Itigidi, Cross River State. -Presbyterian Tuberculosis and Leprosy Hospital (PTBLHM), Mbembe, Obubra, Cross River State. -Urban Health Services (UHS), Aba, Abia State. -Presbyterian Mission Hospital (PMH), Ivenger, Benue State. -Rural Improvement Mission (RIM), Ikwo, Ebonyi State. -The Presbyterian Joint Hospital (PJH), Uburu, Ebonyi State. -Ekoli Presbyterian Joint Hospital (EPJH), Ekoli-Edda, Ebonyi State. The involvement of the Church in the agricultural sub-sector is also worthy of note. Of particular mention in this area are the Itu and Yakurr Farms. d. Social Action (PCS & D): The Church believes that the vehicle through which it reaches the people with the gospel of Jesus Christ includes social action – a programme of assisting the needy in the larger society anchored on the philosophy that physical and material well -being prepares the ground for spiritual development. It has therefore set up the Presbyterian Community Services and Development Department (PCS & D), for the purpose of assisting the needy in the larger society. The PCS & D was established to articulate the social-action policy and programmes of the Church in the areas of HIV-AIDS prevention and care, emergency relief, women empowerment, justice and peace, destitute rehabilitation, agriculture and adult literacy. It is a fully established Faith-Based Organisation, funded by the PCN, overseas Partner-Churches and international donor agencies such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The work of the department is carried out under seven distinct sub-departments namely: i) PRESBY AIDS: As the name implies, PRESBY AIDS was set up to educate Church members as well as the public on HIV-AIDS prevention and care and other related services. ii) Emergency Relief: To cater to the immediate needs of those who have been displaced by any form of disaster by assisting them with food, clothing, shelter and cash as the case may be. iii) Women Empowerment: To empower women to participate fully in politics, economic and other human activities at all levels through education and mass mobilisation. iv) Justice & Peace: To engage in Conflict Resolution and facilitative mediation among warring communities or individuals in conflict, and, to fight human rights abuses. eg obnoxious customs and practices against widows. v) Destitute Rehabilitation: To rehabilitate destitutes through training in various skills and providing micro-credit to establish cottage industries of their own, and, to facilitate scholarship for children of destitutes who are able to go to school. vi) Hunger And Food: To train people in modern agricultural techniques and provide farming input such as crops, fertiliser and improved seed and animal varieties. vii) Adult Literacy: Adults who have no formal education are provided with access to acquiring knowledge and formal education.

The Presbyterian Church is a first generation Church with a wide circle of ecumenical relations. It is a member of the World Council of Churches, Reformed Ecumenical Council, World Alliance of Reformed Churches, Christian Council of Nigeria, Reformed Ecumenical Council of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria, among others.

The Church encourages its members and indeed Christians to be engaged in partisan politics but it does preach the practice of “politics of righteousness.” It is only when Christians practise politics according to the teachings of Jesus Christ that we can establish a godly society.

Advocacy For Choice And Opinion || Entire Satellite

I would campaign for the creation of three (3) more states in and for Igboland; one in the north, another in the west and the other in the south.

1. A state to incorporate all the Igbo communities in the present states of Kogi and Benue.
2. A state to incorporate all the Igbo communities in the present states of Edo and Delta.
3. A state to incorporate all the Igbo communities in the present states of Rivers and Akwa Ibom.

Now, there are still Igbo Communities in the states of Bayelsa (In Sagbama L.G.A); which should be well incorporated into the new Igbo state to be created from the present Delta and Edo states. Another handful of Igbo communities are also found in Cross River state (the Isobo clan of Ikwo and Izzi people); which should also be well incorporated into the current Ebonyi state.

Igbo History is me.
19/06/2021

Igbo History is me.

The 1958 Willinks Commission Report that explains Eastern minorities (South-South) rift with Ndi Igbo.

THE FOLLOWING ARE EXCERPTS FROM THE REPORT OF THE COMMISSION APPOINTED TO “ENQUIRE INTO THE FEARS OF MINORITIES AND THE MEANS OF ALLAYING THEM”, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE WILLINK COMMISSION REPORT OF JULY 1958”
THE HISTORICAL AND POLITICAL BACKGROUND.

1. “More than 98% of people who inhabit this area (the ‘Igbo Plateau’ of the Eastern region) are Igbo and speak one language, though of course with certain differences of dialect. There are nearly five million of them and they are too many for the soil to support: they are vigorous and intelligent and have pushed outward in every direction, seeking a livelihood by trade or in service in the surrounding areas of the Eastern Region, in the Western Region, in the North and outside Nigeria. They are no more popular with their neighbours than is usual in the case of an energetic and expanding people whose neighbours have a more leisurely outlook on life.”

2. “Though there has been no great kingdom or indigenous culture in the Eastern Region, the coastal chiefs grew on their trade with the (European merchant) ships and they adopted customs, clothing and housing more advanced than those of the peoples of the interior on whom they had at first preyed for slaves. They came during the 19th Century to regard the people of the interior as backward and ignorant, and it was therefore a blow to their pride, as well as to their pockets, when the Ibos began to push outwards into the surrounding fringe of the country and particularly into the Calabar area, to take up land, to grow rich, to own houses and lorries and occupy posts in public services and in the services of large trading firms.”
“It was among the Igbos, formerly despised by the people of Calabar as source of slaves and as a backward people of the interior, now feared and disliked as energetic and educated, that the first political party formed.”

3. “It is important to remember that of this (Ogoja) Province’s 1,082,000 inhabitants, 723,000 are Ibos, almost entirely in Abakaliki and Afikpo (Divisions), while the census classifies 350,000 as “Other Nigerian Tribes.”

4. The Rivers Province …includes the two divisions of Brass and Degema, both overwhelmingly Ijaw, and the Ogoni Division. The former Rivers Division also includes over 300,000 Ibos of whom 250,000 are in Ahoada Division and 45,000 in Port Harcourt. Port Harcourt is a town of recent growth and of rapidly increasing importance; it is built on land that blonged originally to an outlying branch of the Ibo tribe, the Diobus, but is largely inhabited by the Ibos from the interior who have come to trade or seek employment….Of the total 747,000 in the Rivers province, 305,000 are Igbos, 240,000 are Ijaws and 156,000 are Ogonis.”

5. “The strip to the south of the Igbo block, is physically, divided by a block of Igbo territory, tipped by the important Igbo town of Port Harcourt and tribally divided between the Ijaws and the Ogonis.”

6. “In the whole of this non-Igbo area there is present in varying degree some fear of being over-run, commercially and politically, by the Igbos….. if Ahoada and Port Harcourt, which are really Igbo, are considered with the solid centre of Ibo population, there are 54 seats for the Ibo area and 30 for COR (Calabar, Ogoja and Rivers) in (Eastern Regional House of Assembly).”

THE FEARS AND GRIEVANCES OF MINORITIES:
7. “It was suggested (by non-Igbo petitioners) that it was the deliberate object of the Ibo majority in the Region to fill every post with Ibos (in public post and services).….when, however we came to consider specific complaints about the composition of public bodies, we found them in many cases exaggerated or unreasonable.”

8. “The allegation was put forward by counsel (to petitioners) that the Judiciary (when not European) was predominantly Igbo, with the implication that this caused fear among those who are not Ibos. But it was clearly stated in evidence by Dr. Udoma, the leader of UNIP, that no occasion could be adduced of the judiciary acting with partiality. The fact is that the legal profession is largely Igbos and the reasons for this do not seem to be Government action. It is therefore inevitable that there should be an Igbo preponderance among Judges and Magistrates. Further, it is the declared policy of Government that the Judiciary should be federal and this does not indicate a desire to control it. Again, the operation and composition of Public Service Commission here, as in the West, appeared to us in no way open to reproach.”

9. “In the Police, which in this region alone is wholly Federal, the number of Ibos in the higher appointments is not out of proportion to the Ibos in the region. The force is now federally controlled and although there are a large number of Ibos in the lower ranks, this is due to the fact that it has for long been a tradition among the Ibos to offer themselves for recruitment in this force in far greater numbers than any other tribe.”

10. “we noted that in five years, 1952 – 1957, from a total of 412 secondary scholarships, 216 were awarded to persons living in the COR areas, while the figures for post-secondary scholarships were 211 out of 623. The latter is about the right proportion of one-third, the former considerably in excess. It was suggested that scholarships awarded to non-Ibos were of an inferior kind and that the best scholarships went to Ibos, but we were, unable to see that this claim held any validity. On the evidence before us, we conclude that the allegations of discriminations in the matter of scholarships are unjustified.”

11. “It was further suggested that loans by the Eastern Regional Finance Corporation, the Eastern Region Development Board, and the Eastern Region Development Corporation were made with some degree of preference to Ibos. It did appear that most of the loans made by these bodies were to Ibos, but that is not to say that this was necessarily improper. Ibos constitute two thirds of the population of the region and have a bigger share of financial and commercial responsibility than their numbers warrant.”

12. “That there should be modern streetlight in Onitsha, and not Calabar, was also quoted as example of discrimination; it proved however that Onitsha Urban District Council had financed this measure from their own resources.”

13. “The question of land was repeatedly raised, it being resented by the Efiks and Ibibios that the Igbos should acquire land at all in their territory while the methods by which it was obtained were also questioned. There is no doubt that on the Igbo Plateau there is insufficient land for the people and the Igbos are thrusting outwards where possible they acquire land and use it either for cultivation or building…..This is a matter which will require legislation sooner or later and it will be delicate to handle, but the economic process is in itself healthy and we had little sympathy with a witness who remarked that there is much undeveloped land in the district and he was anxious that it should not fall into the hand of the Igbos… We believe that Governments in Nigeria should be careful not to try to protect minorities by introducing measures that would restrict development....”

My Note: It is inaccurate that there was no great Igbo Kingdom in pre-colonial Igboland.
Nri was a great Kingdom dating back to the 9th Century but was destroyed by the British as its destruction was the only way to terminate the religio-political influence of the Eze Nri over 2/3 of Igboland.
Secondly, it's curious that the people of the South South were happy to look down on hinterland Igbos and sell them into slavery but when slavery ended and the Igbo ventured out of the hinterland into various parts of the region, worked hard and surpassed the former slave trading elites of the Bight of Biafra, they became envious.
We want friendly relations with other ethnic groups in the bight of Biafra because we see them as friends and relatives not enemies, but if they insist on seeing us as a threat or enemy, then so be it. Nothing can stop us maka na onye chukwu goziri agozi, eze k’obu! Kwenu!

A repost

Nembe-Ijaw born young Military Governor Alfred Papapreye Diette Spiff was so visionary as Governor of old Rivers State (between 1967 to 1975) that he bought this magnificent ship for members of the Rivers State Executive council to use as a hotel when visiting the creeks of Rivers State to assess level of development in villages (since most Creek communities do not have hotel accommodations). Those who travelled in this state of the art ship called it a little paradise.
However when the military Government of Maj Gen. Mohammed Murtala took over from Gowon, Murtala found the ship to be too luxurious so he handed it over to the Nigerian Navy and it was changed from its former name of Ogina Bereton to NNS Ruwan Yaro.

So we ask, why hasn't a compensation been paid to Rivers State Government up till today?
