THE SECRET TO CONTENT MARKETING
I know majority must have come across this post but don't know where to get started.
This piece is to help you better understand what content marketing is all about and how to use it.
This has to be one of the recent buzzwords in the past 5 years, but if you really understand what content marketing is, you'd also understand it's not a new thing.
Content Marketing is simply the process of putting out valuable content and relevant information for your prospects to assist them at whatever level of their buyer's journey to help them make a decision that is in line with your goal.
After months of marketing products online, I have realized that not many people buy immediately.
Content Marketing uses two of the most potent forms is influence and persuasion.
By putting out valuable content regularly, you are giving out information that help people.
In this next chapter, I'll share the secrets on how to successfully use content marketing 👇
1. Consume Content:
If you want to keep churning out high value content regularly, then you should also have a voracious habit of consuming content.
Your mind has the ability to give back what you've given it.
If you read quality books, follow intelligent online entrepreneurs online.... definitely you would start modelling their content
Consistently consume content in the area you want to become an expert on
2. Curate Content:
The best way to stay consistent is to ensure you have a planner
Take notes of valuable content materials you come across e.g screenshots, articles, ebooks, courses , etc
Then you can decide to structure your content
Monday- Entrepreneurship (talk or post about it)
Tuesday- Business
Wednesday- Health
Thursday- Personal rants
Make sure to remodel this to your specific niche
3. Repurpose Content:
Trying to come up with content daily can be exhausting.
Instead, simply repurpose your content.
That is, say the same thing from different aspects.
And whenever you get a lot of engagements from a post, tweet, blog, etc... it's a sign that you may want to expand on the topic of that post.
4. Distribute Content:
The next is to distribute content, but since you are mainly focused on one platform at this stage, you may not necessarily consider this.
The essence of distribution is to gain access to other audiences and build your list.

8 words (that will change your life)

I suddenly found myself struggling to do a lot of things.
In order to get myself out of this rut, I remember a little but powerful block of text I read years ago.
It started with 8 words.
The 8 words are...
“First We Form Habits, Then They Form Us.”
Then the rest of it said:
What is a man if not his habits?
Is "A writer" a writer if he doesn’t write?
Is "A painter" a painter if she does not paint?
Is she a mother if she doesn’t take care of her kids everyday?
surely the answer is NO. Without your habits you are empty... Yes you read that right.
First we seek what we love, then we form habits to grasp a little of that which we love everyday (the writer’s habit is to write everyday, the painter’s to paint).
And overtime those self-formed habits makes us who we are.
----
That last paragraph did it for me.
The part that said...
FIRST WE SEEK WHAT WE LOVE, THEN WE FORM HABITS TO GRASP A LITTLE OF THAT LOVE EVERYDAY.
Notice the "grasp a little of that love" part?
Yeah.
Most people try to form a new habit by overburdening themselves to do too much.
That is not how to form a habit.
You also don't form a habit by just sitting down waiting for motivation.
When I wasn't able to write, I didn't just sit down waiting for a flash from heaven to help me get going.
I forced myself to write 5 tweets/post everyday.
1 tweet has 160 maximum characters.
Not much, right?
But I kept doing it.
And before you know it, my brain found my hands again and now it has become an habit.
Well, practice makes perfect... Again this is wrong(Practice doesn't birth perfection) CONSISTENT PRACTICE does.
I am also going to use the same wisdom to kick start my workouts.
I haven't been working out in over 4 months now.
I think I have actually gained a few pounds too.
But this morning, I decided to start building a workout habit.
Nothing much.
I will simply wake up in the morning and do the following:
50 jumping jacks
20 push ups
20 squats
The main idea is to do that consistently over the next 90 days to form a habit.
Then from there, it becomes easy to add more to the routine.
That is why I believe those 8 words can change your life if you apply them.
“First We Form Habits, Then They Form Us.”
Which life changing habit are you going to start working on this weekend and start next week?
Just get started with it and be consistent.
