As part of protocols to welcome the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Okene Local Government to commission some legacy projects of Governor Yahaya Bello administration on 29th December 2022, some roads within Okene town shall be blocked from vehicular movement.

The blockade will affect Obehira Junction along Okengwe road, Agassa roundabout, Junction around Dabras hotel, Obangede junction along Ogaminana road and Check-point junction along Auchi-Ajaokuta road. The blockade will begin from 7am Thursday, 29th December, 2022.

However, those on essentials duties, invited royal fathers and guests, party supporters, government functionaries and the general public are expected to arrive Okene town before 7am.

Invited royal fathers will assemble at the office of the Chairman, Okene Local Government for onward movement to the newly constructed palace while the good people of Ebiraland will gather at the Local Government Secretariat to give Mr President a resounding welcome.

The restriction will also affect Okene main market as it is expected to be closed for business within the period of President’s visit. These arrangements have already been discussed with the TRADER ASSOCIATION, NURTW, KEKE NAPEP & MOTORCYCLE UNIONS.

Government urge the people to adhere strictly to these restrictions as they commend the major stakeholders for their show of understanding.

Bayelsa Man Abscond From Marriage Ceremony Over Incessant Demands.

Drama as bridegroom walks out of engagement ceremony in Imo

State due to extortion.

He paid N1,500,000 to cater for food, tents, chairs and a public

address system.

He was also made to set aside N100,000 as the bride price that the two families had agreed on.

Biobelemoye David was asked to add N50,000 to the bride price

because he had already impregnated the girl.

He was slapped with a N10,000 fine for making a detour to the wrong path and ending up in a different homestead other than the

girl's.

He was also asked to pay N15,000 to appease the elders who had

become tired of waiting for his arrival.

Drama however ensued when twelve girls covered in loose robes from head to toe were paraded before Biobelemoye David and he was asked to guess who his fiancée was.

He pointed at the wrong woman and that led to yet another fine of N15,000.

The decisive moment specifically was when the elders demanded for a refund of the total sum of N850,000 that had been paid as the girl's school fees and upkeep since she started primary school!

Fuming with anger which he tried his best to hide, Biobelemoye

David excused himself to visit a nearby latrine and disappeared!

He switched off his phone and was last seen at a bus heading to Bayelsa State from Imo.

Wizkid Promises Lagos Fans Free Concerts

Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has vowed that his fans in Lagos would never have to pay to attend his shows in the state in the future.

He made this promise while on stage during his concert on Saturday night.

He said, “Let me tell you something, When I said this is going to be my last show in Lagos right…What I really meant was, with the kind of love that you guys show me, it is very unfair to do shows around the world and come back and still make you guys pay to watch me perform. So, I want to make a promise tonight, this would be the last time you are ever gonna pay to come to Wizkid’s show.“

Rapper Tory Lanez found guilty of sh@ Meghan Thee Stallion and could face more then 20 years in prison.

Canadian rapper, Daystar Peterson better known as Tory Lanez, has been found guilty by a Los Angeles jury on Friday of sh@ a fellow artist, Megan Thee Stallion, in both of her feet following an argument about their romantic entanglements and respective careers in the summer of 2020.

He was convicted of three felony counts: a§§aults with a semiautomatic handg¥n, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than 20 years in prison and could be deported when he is sentenced on Jan 25.

The jury of seven women and five men deliberated since Thursday before convicting the 30-year-old Canadian rapper. Mr. Lanez, who had been free on bail during the trial following a period of house arrest, was immediately taken into custody.
