DARIYE'S FREEDOM AND THE NGAS 2023 ASPIRATION.
It's no longer news that the president in the exercise of his constitutional duty as stipulated in section 175 of the1999 constitution as amended has granted pardon to many Nigerians in which former Gov Dariye was a prime beneficiary of this bogus legal bonanza by Mr president.
Whatever legal or moral binoculars this reprieve is interrogated or scrutinized, the fact remains that this freedom is legal, lawful and above all it's constitutional, whatever misgivings anyone has about this freedom is completely irrelevant in the eyes of the law.One may input morality implications of this freedom on the anti corruption mantra of the APC government but morality and law are not same, therefore those advancing such arguments are but doing a mere academic exercise.
Now with the freedom already bestowed on Dariye which has restored all his legal rights and given his political pedigree of an unrepentant apostle of a minority agenda crusader; the question in the lips of many and my humble self inclusive is that do we stand a good chance for little Rayfield given the enormous political goodwill the former governor enjoys ? Can Dariye be disposed to Ngas candidature given his minority agenda disposition? Take it or leave it, Dariye remains a factor in APC, the unassertive political nomenclature of Lalong is already a bigger plus for Dariye and this will play up as we count down to 2023.while l don't subscribe to the narrative that he is the person that will determine who becomes governor in 2023 ,l still believe he has some influence given his political pedigree.
There's no disputation that Dariye remains a political enigma,a flamboyant positivist and a political influencer of no mean proportion in our jurisdiction except someone wants to pretend,as a realist, and a close watcher of political developments since the birthed of this republic in 1999, l can state unequivocally, categorically and undisguisedly that Dariye remains a factor that Ngas nation must not be dismissive of in our permutation to little Rayfield, his clout following is huge even when he was behind bars he was exerting political influence let alone now that he is a free man.
While l submit to the fact that power comes from God and he gives to whoever he chooses, the fact remains that Dariye remains a massive factor, moreso now that he has finally regained his political freedom that was punctuated by the court and like l have always posited, our people must spread their political tentacles to all nooks cranny,we must stop this seeming localization of our ambition that is so laced with pedestrian and awkward mediocrity as if 2023 is already an exclusive birth right of the Ngas people.l have before now submitted that being born into a minority tribe is not a political crime, today, Dariye who is seen in many quarters as a crusader and the emancipator of minority agenda and a complete unapologetic political aggressor of the majority agenda is very much around to contend with and how his impact will be on the Ngas governorship aspiration is left to be seen in days to come.
VIDVID so submit.
