EXTRA JUDICIAL KILLING: Onyi, A hardworking Nigerians Youth and merchant in Phones at the popular Ogbe-Ogonogo market has been shot dead by an Officer of the Nigeria Police Force.
The sad incident occurred along the ever busy Ugbolu-Asaba road this morning. This has led to protest by Youths and the demand for justice for the slain popular phone seller in Asaba.
However, the CP has condemned the killing and the officers arrested.

As part of plans for a hitch free 2023 general elections and smooth transition process, U. S Consul General (Nigeria) Will Stevens has assured Nigerians that their votes will count citing new electoral reforms and INEC's preparedness for the election.
The Consul General warned against activities that will truncate the democratic process, noting that are sanctions for electoral offenders if found guilty.
Stevens stated this in Asaba at the signing of the Open Government Manifesto by governorship candidates of the various political parties in the state.
The OpenGov Townhall which was facilitated by USAID in collaboration with cluster NGOs in the Niger Delta states, had in attendance, a cross section of state and non-state actors.

CHURCH BUILDING COLLAPSES IN ASABA
A storey building reportedly belonging to Salvation Ministries, opposite Rain Oil Filling Station, by Redeemed junction, along Okpanam Road, Asaba, the Delta State capital has collapsed.
It was gathered that the building, whose original design was tempered with, caved in during church service, thereby trapping the worshipers, particularly the children section.
It was also revealed that a reconstruction work was ongoing without recourse to the original strength of the foundation of the structure.
As at the time of this report, number of casualties could not be ascertained.
