TRENDING : RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR ASSURES HONOUR FOR DECEASED NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, PRECIOUS OFURUM
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has assured members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and Nollywood practitioners that deserving honor would be bestowed upon Precious Chimaobi Ofurum, a Rivers indigene tragically affected by the recent Asaba boat mishap, which also involved popular Nollywood actor Junior Pope.
During a visit to Government House, Port Harcourt on Wednesday, the Governor, represented by the Head of Rivers State Civil Service, Dr George Nwaeke, expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the late actor and commended the solidarity demonstrated by the Nollywood community. Governor Fubara emphasized the exemplary nature of Precious Chimaobi Ofurum's character, noting his dedication to Nigeria and his determination to succeed within the country.
"The passing of Precious Chimaobi Ofurum is indeed unfortunate, as he was already an exemplary Nigerian who demonstrated the success any determined person can achieve while remaining in the country," stated Governor Fubara.
Highlighting his Administration's commitment to supporting youth talent, Governor Fubara assured the bereaved family of appropriate recognition and support. He reiterated his dedication to making Rivers State proud and pledged to honor the memory of Precious Chimaobi Ofurum.
In his remarks, Mr Eric Stevenson, the convener of the solidarity visit, recounted the tragic incident that claimed the lives of several actors returning from a movie set in Asaba, Delta State. He expressed gratitude for the Governor's response and hoped that the State Government would act swiftly to provide comfort to the bereaved family.

The mother of the sound recordist that died along side Jnr Pope and others has been crying for the government to help her bring back her child for her to bury .
She said the land lady of the house where her son lived when he was alive called to tell her that the spirit of her son has been disturbing in her house.
The guy needs to be buried that's why his spirit is disturbing .

The Final Resting Place!
As directed by Gov. Umo Eno, the remains of our late sister, Abigail Frederick, the Nollywood makeup artist that died at an ill-fated boat mishap in River Niger has been recovered and laid to rest at her family compound at Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area.
The obsequies were conducted by Church of Christ, Ikot Udoma, Eket. May her soul Rest-in-Peace, Amen.
Recall that the Governor on Saturday, 13th April 2024, visited her family to condole with them. While there he offered automatic employment to her sister in the state civil service and directed that their home be renovated to taste.
Also, her siblings in the university will be supported by Government and helping hands extended to the parents.

A top official of the Nigerian Correctional Service has given an update on how crossdresser, Bobrisky is being treated in prison.
Recall that Bobrisky was handed a six-month prison sentence over naira abuse. While sentencing him, Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos, said the judgment would be a deterrent to others who are found abusing and mutilating the naira.
An official of the prison who spoke to Punch said the crossdresser was taken to prison after the judgement and he was examined at the point of admission. It was also stated that no realignment of gender or ge***al organ was discovered as his male biological features were the same.
As was narrated by an insider,
“Bobrisky made a public declaration that he was a male and court proceedings are public records. Every inmate brought into a facility during admission is examined. He was equally examined and no realignment of gender or ge***al organ was discovered. The male biological features were the same.
“After that, a cell was allocated to him, and he had a certain number of inmates with him. A bed space was also allotted to him. It is just like a boarding house where your housemaster will issue you your personal belongings.
“When it is time for class, he attends. When it is time for food, he will go and get his portion. The same goes with prep and light out. He observes all these without preference. He has been going about his business just like other inmates since he was brought in here.
“He is not getting any five-star treatment and is not being protected from anybody. He follows the same rules and regulations just like every other inmate. Single cells of isolation cells are to prevent outbreaks of communicable diseases. In a male prison, homosexuality is outlawed and it is a grievous offence. So**my or homosexuality, is frowned upon here in the custodial centre. So any inmate that tries to violate him will face the law.”
What a wow! Guys how to you feel upon hearing this? So all this while we have been fooled into believing the impossible? What a wow again! I am speechless!!

They said the dead cannot offend. But if we go by what the Producer of The. Movie "The other side of Life" which took the lives of Jnr Pope a Nollywood actor alongside few others, some days back, to the Other side of Life,
Then who do you think should be blamed for the MISHAP.
My advise to those in the Nollywood industry to which I belong is that we must do things with caution and sensibility. Life is more precious than gold cos it takes life to have gold.
Nothing should ever make you take risk that might take ones life. The digital world has made it easier to manipulate most scenes and make them look real.
Caution and common sense is the watch word.
It is a pity that beautiful souls had to go for lessons to be learnt.
May God grant the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.

If you have worked in Asaba film sets you would know how they lgnorantly do dare d'evil scenes without any safety measures
This was the reason I had to quit there cause it messed up with my m'entaI health and instead of me to continue complaining, I'd rather leave
It's cause this particular scene caused the d€ath of a popular person that's why awareness is being thrown out
Let me give you instances of daredevil scenes done in Asaba
Using REAL LIFE Anaconda snake to do scene to portray 0gbanje and they tell you that they have juju controlling the snake, then they tell the upcomer actress to enter river with the snake , knowing that it's a wild animaI that can flip and kiIl that actor
Sometimes they bring p'oisonous cobras 😡😡 and claim juju would make it not to bit€
Another d'aredevil scenes they do is "fir€ scene", the way they do it ehn, if you see it you would panic! Mind you no fire extinguisher 🧯 close by o
If you are telling them that safety should be priority, they would alienate you like you are the fo'ol whereas all them d'umbasses are the wise ones
Another d'aredevil scenes they do is w€apon f'ight, this people legit like to prove points and do sina Rambo and zubby Michael
Especially the upcomers, they legit hit themselves real hard with real bottles, sometimes people bIeed on set
And they laugh about it cause, treatment is taken and they get away with some of it
Another d'aredevil scenes is "River scenes in unsurveyed area"
Like any river na river.. what they do is just to go call a juju person that would give them a go ahead
I remember one time I was talking about random wide animaIs in the river side and how someone with g'un (a well experienced security) should be around, they took it as too much talk that would incure expenses
I walked out of that set! Cause it was disgustin
Juju is the safety method they take there
Many upcomers we don't know about have lost their lives in Asaba but was covered because they are not known
Asaba film set prioritize juju more than anything, same with Yoruba film set
Another thing that would come to light soon is how they r'ape upcoming underage actress in the industry
Even popular actors, producers, directors that are your fave do this
IT'S UNTIL SOMEONE WHOSE H€AD ISN'T SMSLL DI€S IN THE PROCESS, AWARENESS WOULD COME OUT ON THAT ASPECT TOO

TC VIRUS STORY OF THE RECENT BOAT MISHAP WHICH TOOK THE LIFE OF Jnr POPE
“When we got to the location, I bought Fanta, I had 10k with me, I sprayed it on the water and gave some to the children in the area.” Actor TC Okafor, one of the survivor of the boat accident, narrates his ordeal.
In an Instagram live, the actor says “On the first day, when Junior pope came to the set, he wasn’t comfortable. Then after a while he said he was leaving.
On the day of the incident, we all gathered at the river to board the boat that would take us to the set. Since we stated the job, I always sit in front, so I can hold the rope.
Junior pope was making a video and I told everyone to put their phones in their pockets.
Only two people wore life jackets; the DOP and Director.
The boat guy was wearing an earpiece and wanted to show his face in Junior Pope’s video.
He jammed one of the canoes in the river and our boat capsized”

What a disappointment?
