*INTRODUCTION*
INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED EDUCATIONAL PRACTITIONERS IICEP was established to enhance the quality of education by developing the competencies of Practitioners, assisting to update curriculum, advising regulatory bodies on policy matters and providing support services to educational administrators, teachers and learners.
IICEP is registered in South Africa with large presence in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Uganda , Ghana, Togo,Mali, Namibia, Botswana,Benin etc.
The African Educationists Project is marketing the Institute across the continent and beyond.

IICEP's major stakeholders are Teachers,Tutors, School Proprietors, Principals, Lecturers, Trainers, Human Resource Developers, Human Capacity Builders, Workshop Facilitators, Instructors, Librarians, Authors, Publishers, Bursars, Guidance Counselors, School Matrons, Nurses, Clergymen , Engineers and all those involoved in imparting knowledge to people.

*Code* *of* *Conduct*
An educational practitioner's professional conduct must be in conformity with high ethical standards.
He/she must maintain standards of exemplary professional certifications from accredited institutions and shall seek to improve the effectiveness of the progression through research and continuing professional development ( CPD)
*Membership*
Membership of IICEP is open to every educational practitioner in any discipline .
Membership grades are:
1. Student- This is for students in Tertiary Institution or undergoing training of IICEP
2. Graduate ( GIICEP)- Graduate members are fresh graduate from tertiary Institutions or students that have been certified by IICEP
3. Certified Associate (CAIICEP)- Members in this grade are experienced graduates or those who are upgraded from graduate grades
4. Chartered Member ( CMIICEP)- Chartered Members are upgraded from Certified Associate grade and must have IICEP's qualifying examination
5. Associate Fellow ( AFIICEP)- An Associate Fellow is a transition from Chartered Member. However, experienced certified Associate can be upgraded to an Associate Fellow on the recommended of the board to the Governing Council.
6. Fellow: Experienced Chartered Members and can be upgraded to fellowa on favourable recommendation from the appropriate committee. However, non- educational practitioners who have contributed immensely to the development of education can be conferred with an honorary fellow of the institute
7. Companion ( CIICEP)- This grade is exclusively reserved former two- term Presidents and Registrars of IICEP.
However, outstanding Ministers of Education, and democratically elected Presidents can be appointed companies ( honorary)
8. Corporate: This grade is reserved corporate bodies/ organisations

Membership Application Forms can be collected from, Country Directors, State Coordinators, IICEP approved Training Consultants and Marketing Consultants.
The Membership Committee will assess and grade every applicant. The outcome of the assessment and grading will be communicated to the applicant by the the Registrar/ CE or his designate.
Professional/ Membership Examination
Except for candidates with waivers/ exemption as approved by the council, intending members will be informed of the date and centre of professional examinations, usually in March and November of every year.

Induction of new members is held twice a year, country by country.
