The recently concluded "Animation Bootcamp" was an opportunity for us, in collaboration with The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), to empower young talents and creatives from West and Central Africa with theoretical, technical, and business knowledge needed to thrive in the creative Animation industry.
This visual training program was in alignment with The United Nations Development Program's commitment to developing African youth. Also, one of the objectives of the training was to position West & Central Africa as a skill capital for the growing animation industry.

Are you a young African passionate about art, illustration, 2d and 3d animation, storyboard and animatics?
Magic Lab, an initiative by Magic Carpet Studios in collaboration with Lagos state employment trust fund has created a six-month fellowship programme.
Magic Lab is currently accepting invitation from interested students seeking to pursue a career in 2d & 3d animation, and game development to apply for a six-month fellowship program with guaranteed employment for successful students who complete the program. The application opens on July 7, 2022, deadline is July 22, 2022.
The Fellowship offers hands-on learning experience with curated courses in animation and digital skills, aimed at equipping students with the in-demand skills to take ownership of their future.
The fellowship is available for graduates between ages 18-35 and will commence first week in September and wrap up by last week of February 2023.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in animation, illustration, game design and commitment to skill and growth.
