Sequal to the 5th plenary of the 2nd NUESA parliament held on Friday, 16th of February 2024 at the Faculty of Engineering NUESA secreteriat, which had the Faculty/NUESA President summoned for his budget presentation approval, together with President's entire executive council members.
Some members of the executive council adamantly dishonored the summon without reason.
In line with article Vii, section 33 subsection 9 of the NUESA Constitution as amended in 2023, some executive members have been suspended.

2023/2024 Academic Session.
Dated: Wednesday, 14th Febuary 2024.
On Wednesday, 14th febuary 2024, the management and staff of the faculty of engineering, federal University Otuoke oriented the first year student from the Faculty of Engineering.
The Orientation was more on teaching the students the rules and regulations of the university, and to the faculty at large, course registration, avoid cultism activities in the university campus and Procedures on how to update their files when it's due time.
At the end of the orientation program, the first year student present were all given the "University Student Hand Book" in order for them to be guided in any angle they wished to be.
In conclusion, the Faculty Orientation was a Success.
Congratulations to our first year students in the Faculty of Engineering.

*A CALL FOR PEACEFUL PROTEST ADDRESSING THREAT TO STUDENT SAFETY*
Alutarian greetings to the entire Student Community. This memo serves as a crucial announcement regarding a peaceful protest scheduled for tomorrow, December 20, 2023, in response to a distressing statement made by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Chairman Otuoke.
The chairman's life-threatening statement, made in an attempt to address transportation cost concerns within our student community, has raised serious concerns among us. In light of this, the Student Union Government (SUG) wishes to assert the following points:
1. We unequivocally reject any threats to the safety of our students and will not consider them as mere statements.
2. The chairman is expected to issue a public apology to the entire student community for making such a life-threatening statement. Additionally, he is urged to sign an undertaking letter with the police, addressing the aforementioned statement.
We urge all students currently on campus to actively participate in a peaceful protest scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, at 8:30 am.
