Publicis Groupe has announced the merging of its supervisory and management board into a single board of directors. The current Chairman/CEO of the company, Arthur Sadoun, will become the leader of the new directors of the board while former CEO, Maurice Lévy will take an advisory role as chairman emeritus.
According to the company, the supervisory board will unanimously approve this proposal made by Lévy in its Annual General Meeting set to take place on May 29.

Access Bank has announced plans to reward 15,786 customers with N200 million in cash and three SUVs in its Season 16 DiamondXtra campaign.
This was disclosed by the bank’s Regional Sales Director, Mr Bolarinwa Animashaun, during the official launching of Diamondxtra in Lagos State.
He said that from the inception of the promo in 2008, the bank had rewarded over 26,696 customers with N6.5bn, describing the promo as an expression of the bank’s commitment to encourage savings and reward loyal customers.

Samsung has become the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, overtaking Apple in the first quarter of 2024, according to the latest data from IDC, a global market intelligence firm.
According to IDC, the smartphone market itself took a noticeable decline during the coronavirus pandemic but is now climbing steadily once again, increasing 7.8% to 289.4 million units in Q1 2024.

Some six years ago, Nigeria’s Lanre Adisa, the Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer of Noah’s Ark Communications Limited, made history as the first Nigerian and most probably the first person from West Africa to be named a member of the Cannes Lions jury. When announcement of his appointment to the Brand Experience and Activation shortlist jury for the 2018 festival was made, it was widely celebrated in Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking on that development, Adisa had described his appointment as a watershed moment not just for Nigeria, but for the entire West African advertising industry, as well as the beginning of great things for the Nigerian Advertising Industry, having taken this long for any creative from the West African sub-region to be considered for such an assignment. As part of measures to protect its customers against fraudulent activities, Wema Bank Plc has launched an anti-fraud campaign. This follows after it reported a loss of ₦685 million ($594,943) to fraud and forgery in 2023.

The Nasarawa State Government has has revealed that it is committed to partnering with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on the Public Relations Finishing School which is a major project of the current Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
