What's Your Motivation?

"Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind." Ecclesiastes 4 vs 4 NLT

Considering what others are doing if you use it as a yardstick to measure your success or effort then you will join the bandwagon of competition and endless labour. What is your motivation? Answering that question will determine your pursuits and goals in life.

If you look at others by the cars they drive, the houses built, the children they have, or their business/work endeavours as a measure of success, then you give yourself unnecessary hiccup.

Your friends are married and you are not married...Does being married add to your measure of success? Marriage itself is hard work, rather than spend endless hours in thinking what's wrong, why don't you then push that energy in meaningful endeavour, something that makes you better. Marriage shouldn't be seen as an end goal as dreams, ambitions and values are sacrificed just to be married. People who are not married...what happen to them?

Having children? People have asked you questioned why you are yet to have children and they prescribed all sorts of drugs as recommendation. You worry so much rather than pray. "My friends children are already grown" you say to yourself. Have you consider adoption, surrogacy or IVF as an option? If you don't have children, would the world come to an end?

You are due for promotion but you need to first curry favour with the boss or a superior person and you think "let me compromise atleast nobody will know." Is that not also vanity? Or you stab others in the back as a means to push them out of the way to achieve your objectives. Everything in life comes with a cost.

What's your motivation? Yahoo plus... swindling others of their hard earned money is becoming the new norm just to get the latest cars, newest edition of phones, live in a luxury house or visit exotic location. Please who is the impression for?

What motivates you to do what you do?
