Dear Patriots and faithful of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter.
Let me thank you for the support you have shown to the party, Mr President and the H.E, Senator Adamu led leadership of the party.
Let me also say that the purported nomination that held at Ekpo Obot which ended in fiasco is nullity and has no backing of the law.
We should all be calm because it produced nothing and we are all still aspirants in the race.
Let us accept and work toward ensuring that the nomination that we want to conduct anywhere is monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Akwa Ibom State and it also monitored by the Nigerian Police Force Commissioner in the state and certified by the appropriate officers otherwise, with Section 84(2) , we have done nothing.
Let us remember that the purported nomination that was conducted two days ago, INEC and the police monitored the one that was supposed to be conducted by Austin Ekanem led former executive of the party and not the one conducted by my brother and friend, Stephen Leo Ntukekpo.
We should be able to work now towards bringing the party together to be able to have a situation where whatever we produce as candidate of the party should be accepted by the INEC and the law, otherwise, the party will have no candidate for the upcoming election.
*Let no one be mournful, let no one celebrate, let nobody think that anything has emerged from the excercise.*
As it stands now, the National body of the party sent in officials for the nomination and were taken to Ekpo Obot and the INEC and the police Commissioner went to Sheer Grace to monitor the one conducted by the former state executive of the party.
As at today, No process known to law for the purpose of nominating candidates for Governor, House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senatorial has been conducted in Akwa Ibom by APC.
