C & S Member Emerges Best Police Sportsman In Nigeria

A member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Yetunde Aina, has been awarded the Police Sportsman of the Year at the maiden edition of the Nigeria Police Awards and Commendation ceremony held on Monday in Abuja.

Seraph Aina also known as Iron Abbey was awarded alongside 15 other outstanding police officers based on the recommendations of the Nigeria Police Force Awards Committee headed by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Bala Ciroma.

Guests present at the event include President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun; the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff, Lit-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja; among others.

The maiden edition of the Nigeria Police Awards and Commendations ceremony was held to appreciate exemplary police officers.

Acts Of Seraphs reported that Aina was the first African female to win the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) International Super Bantamweight title belt at City Coast Centre in Portslade, East Sussex, London.

This followed her victory at the International Boxing Championship bout against United Kingdom’s Laura Pain in 2022.

The female Seraph who serves in the Lagos State Police Command was celebrated and given a special promotion on the order of the then Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba.

The former police boss who hosted Aina at the Force Headquarters said she had joined the long list of police officers who had distinguished themselves in the area of sports development in the country and across the globe.

She was thereafter promoted to the next rank of Corporal, followed by a monetary reward.

Seraph Yetunde is a member of C&S Church Of All Nations Gilgal, and the daughter of Bishop Pro Dr E.O Abbey, Primate In Charge Of Ona Igbala Church Of Israel Aladura, Temidire Branch, Ayetoro, Ogun State.

INTERVIEW: Why I Sang C & S Hymn At Finland College - Seraph Omotola

Seraph Omotola Adeshina was seen teaching some Finnish college students a Cherubim & Seraphim Hymn in a recent video that went viral on social media. In this interview with ACTS OF SERAPHS’ Olamide Famuwagun, the music graduate explains what inspired the song among the foreign students. Excerpts..

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background? Where are you from originally, and what brought you to Finland?

I am Adeshina Omotola David. I studied music at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and I was brought up in C&S Irawo Owuro Church, Lagos. I am obviously from Nigeria and as it pleases God, I am in Finland for my Master’s program in Global Music.

What is it about C & S hymn that resonates with you?

My discovery of seraph hymns started when I began to attend my church (C&S Irawo Owuro) as a kid. I fell in love with the music because it was a new experience for me and a sweet one and that’s because I was from a Muslim background. But hearing these sounds just resonated with me and I fell in love with church life.

What inspired you to share these hymns with the college students in Finland?

Well, for me, it’s the spirit of the hymns finding expressions in the vocabulary of the lyrics. I believe that next to the holy scriptures are the hymns!

How did they react to learning C&S hymns? Did you encounter any cultural differences or challenges in teaching them?

My inspiration stems from God’s instructions, when I got to know that we would be having teaching sessions for the college students, I began to set my heart to ask God what I should teach because I don’t just want to teach anything. However, the communication of God came to my spirit that I should teach Ariya songs as a genre of music and the songs in the video serve as my references.

Did this experience spark any conversation about your cultural or religious background?

Yes, it did! Although it was a 30-minute session they couldn’t have an all-comprehensive grasp of it all, but I’m sure that they could relate well with my cultural and religious background. C&S Movement Church Surulere District appoints new General Leader

Special Apostle Pastor George Ogunleye has been appointed as the Chairman and General Leader of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District.

Until his appointment, the clergy was the District Secretary of the church.

Elder Ogunleye's new position also followed the demise of the former Chairman and General Leader of the church, late prophet Sunday Funsho Korode who passed unto glory on Sunday 26th November, 2023.

The new General Leader will be performing his first official assignment today as the church marks the 9th Memorial Lecture Scholarship and Bursary Awards in honour of Special Apostle for Evangelism Prophet (Dr.) Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye with the topic, "Economic Growth and Sustainability in Nigeria- Exploring the Religious Platform for Wealth Creation".

The Guest Speaker at the event is Special Mother in- Israel Prof. Martina Iyabode Oguntoyinbo- Atere.

Seraph Builders To Empower C & S Members With Digital Skills

The Seraph Builders has announced plans to empower over 1000 members of the Cherubim and Seraphim church globally with digital skills.

The platform in a statement disclosed that the empowerment put up in partnership with NUEL foundation would help beneficiaries possess relevant skills in the area of technology.

TSB noted that it would also provide comprehensive training programs tailored to the unique needs and challenges faced by C&S members.

It revealed that through a series of trainings, hands-on projects, and mentorship sessions, participants will have the opportunity to acquire practical skills first in data analytics, with an additional of others skills such as graphics design, UI/UX design, and coding.

The platform further affirmed that the skills will not only enhance employability but also empower members to leverage technology for personal and global development.

The Seraph Builders added that the initiative reflects its commitment to fostering innovation and growth within the C&S community, while stressing that by equipping members with valuable digital skills, the organization seeks to catalyze positive change and create opportunities for sustainable growth in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

The statement read in part, “In addition to technical training, The Seraph Builders will also provide support services such as career guidance, networking opportunities, and access to resources to ensure the success of participants in their chosen field.

“The ultimate goal is to build a vibrant community of tech-savvy C&S members who can contribute meaningfully to the digital economy. By empowering C&S members with the skills they need to thrive in the digital era, The Seraph Builders is not only transforming individual lives but also driving positive change at a global scale.
