Welcome to today's edition of raising pepper from nursery
What is a nursery?
A nursery is a primary or temporary place where pepper seeds or other vegetables can be raise temporarily before transplanting. Here, the viability and quality of your seeds are being confirm or tested.
It is also here, you will know if your seeds are disease-free
Key steps in raising your nursery.
* Get your seeds from a reputable company: reason, so you can be sure of the quality and viability of the seeds.
* Get your potting soil (growing media) : this is a sterilize media, rich in nutrient particular for raising your seedlings.
* Get your seedling trays: a material use to seed your seeds. It is advisable you use the one of 66 cells or 120 cells (holes).
* Proceed with the seeding : one seeds per cell (holes).
* Wet it after seeding: this is to provide moist to the seeds.
* Do your regular wetting everyday (morning and evening) for complete one month till they are ready for transplanting.
It takes pepper seedlings 28 days in the nursery before they are ready for transplanting.
