Unilorin Expels 400level Student Who Beat Up Lecturer The authority of the University of Ilorin has expelled Salaudeen Waliu Aanuoluwa with the matriculation number 17/55EJ198 from the school after assaulting a lecturer in the university.

The decision was reached after he was brought before the institution’s students’ disciplinary committee on Monday, 15th November 2021.The university authority after its decision handed him over to the police for further actions.

Recall that the 400-Level student, popularly identified as Captain Walz, beat up a lecturer, Mrs Zakariyyah, to stupor after an altercation on his academics.

Salaudeen, while speaking to University Campus Journalists, UCJ-Ilorin, on the issue on Thursday said “months before the last Thursday incident, he was arrested and locked up for two months, thereby warranting his inability to attend SIWES duties.

”He claimed to have gone to the office of the female lecturer to beg her to help wave the mandatory SIWES course which he missed due to unforeseen circumstances but was always met with negative responses.

According to him, he had gone to Lagos to meet a friend for the first time but was accused of being a thief and locked up by the police which led to his detention for two months.

The 400-level student noted as he went on to narrate his ugly Lagos incident to Mrs Zakariyau, claimed that she refused to give him some grace, saying he had no option but to join the next set which would result in an extra year.

He said on the fateful Thursday when he entered the lecturer’s office, she ordered him out of her office.

”I got angry, I don’t know what came over me, I started arguing and she told me to leave her office, I told her if I don’t leave, what is she going to do?“She then threw a mug at me which injured me and I started beating her,” he added.

Salaudeen said the female lecturer did not fight back, so he went on to beat her and later dragged her out of her office to continue the beating.“I dragged her out and she ran.

I chased and kept beating her before people came. I tried to run but was later caught by the school security,” he stated.

Spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Fr. Ejike Mbaka has warned that there will be more trouble in the country if the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, dies in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The Catholic priest made this known while calling on the congregation to pray for the release of Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday November 14.

He also commended IPOB for calling off its Monday sit-at-home exercise, saying the danger of the order was becoming a problem instead of a solution.Commending IPOB, Mbaka said, ”The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, the hero, Nnamdi Kanu, is expressing his empathy with the people of the Southeast over what they are passing through.

He came to know that Igbos are suffering because of him. And he would not wish that suffering to continue.

Therefore, nobody should stop anybody from going to his or her business any Monday.

“All of us should keep praying for his (Kanu) release, and work towards his freedom because if he dies inside that place, it will cause more trouble. If he comes out, he will come out as a hero.”

We don’t want him to die, because it is not Nnamdi Kanu’s issue, it is the issue that concerns the people that are suffering.

Nnamdi is not asking the government to do anything for him; he is speaking for the Igbo people.“And we that are affected and he is speaking on their behalf should do everything possible to see that it is well with him.“Many were saying they saw me at Abuja some days ago, yes.

My own is if I am with you, I am with you. I will not sit here to tell you why I am in Abuja but whatever will make my people to be emancipated I will do it.

There are people working to see that Nnamdi Kanu is released and it’s not by sitting. at home that he will be released.”

Canceling sit-at-home does not mean that it is over, the poor masses are suffering. Most of the rich people don’t have business over here, we are punishing our selves. We thank the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, may God bless him.”

A man identified as Abdulateef a.k.a Dagana was allegedly stabbed to death by his second wife after he caught her with another man in their matrimonial home.

It was gathered that the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, November 14, in Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government of Edo State According to DailyTrust, the woman stabbed Dagana when he came home at about 3am and met her with another man in their bedroom.

The man was living with two wives in his house, but had to rent an apartment for his first wife in a different location to allow peace to reign while staying with the junior one in his house the source said.

The source said the deceased visits the first wife and spends the night there but there has been a rumour that another man visits his second wife every night when he is not at home.

The deceased came home that night from his first wife’s rented apartment only to meet a man with his junior wife in their bedroom.

The deceased allegedly got hold of the visitor and in the process, the woman stabbed him twice on his stomach apparently to pave way for the alleged lover’s escape and make it look like a robbery attack.

The source said that Abdulateef died as a result of the injury, adding that the quick arrival of the police saved the suspect from being killed by a mob.

The suspect has been arrested by the police.

Just In: Veteran Nigerian musician, Sound Sultan, loses battle to cancer
The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning as Veteran singer, Olanrewaju Ganiu Fasasi aka Sound Sultan is d*ad.
According to his brother, Dr. Kayode Fasasi, in a statement, Sound Sultan passed on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 44 after a battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
He is survived by a wife, three children and his siblings.

I pleaded with Princess for 4days to Drop Baba ijesha's case but she rejected my Plea- Veteran Actress Iya Rainbow.

Some prominent Nollywood figures, including Yomi Fabiyi and Bukky Black, have spoken out against Iyabo Ojo's reaction to Baba Ijesha's case. A few months ago, B aba Ijesha was accused of molesting a minor. He was apprehended by police. He was arrested and taken to court, where he was granted bail.

Iya Rainbow went on to tell BBC Yoruba that she did everything she could to persuade Princess not to let the case go backwards, but she refused.

According to her, Baba Ijesha has been released, but things must be settled amicably among theatre practitioners.

She also stated that whether Baba Ijesha is guilty or not, their group must unite and reach an amicable resolution.

Iya Rainbow, on the other hand, prayed for peace to reign among all parties involved so that the case could be resolved.
