Atiku Abubakar is a bridge and a great unifier who believe the foundation of any government is rooted in a ‘social contract.’ and that government emerges and finds legitimacy in the expectation that it shall work for the common good particularly to defend man's inalienable rights to life, property, and dignity.

In respect to his believe, he has spelt out commitment to a 5-point development agenda that seeks to:

1. Restore Nigeria's unity through equity, social justice as well as co-operation and consensus amongst our heterogeneous people
2. Establish a strong and effective democratic government that guarantees the safety and security of lives and properties
3. Build a strong, resilient, and prosperous economy that creates jobs and wealth and lifts the poor out of poverty
4. Promote a true federal system which will provide for a strong federal government to guarantee national unity while allowing federal units to set their own priorities.
5. Improve and strengthen the education system to equip its recipients with the education and skills required to be competitive in the new global order which is driven by innovation, science and technology and to lead healthy, productive, meaningful lives.

ATIKU-OKOWA is well prepared and ready to rescue Nigeria from APC government of calamity, sorrow and pains.
Vote PDP! Vote Prosperity, Progress and Peace.

Press Statement

You Can’t Get 25% of Votes in Most States, PDP Mocks APC
…Says PDP’s Takeover of Buhari’s Campaign Office in Katsina Signals Collapse of APC.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) admonishes the failed All Progressives Congress (APC) not to bother to campaign in the 2023 general elections as the APC cannot secure the statutory 25% of votes in most States of the country.

The mammoth crowd that greets PDP’s rallies including the recent rallies in Kano and Katsina States are clear messages to the APC that they have been rejected by the people and have no foothold in the 2023 general elections.

The fact that Nigerians from all walks of life in Kano State, the political, commercial nerve center of the North and national melting point, defied the rain in massive show of solidarity to the PDP and our Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, underscores their determination to break through all barriers and return the PDP to power in 2023.

The current mass exodus from the APC into the PDP as being witnessed in most States including President Muhammadu Buhari’s home State of Katsina highpoints the consensus by Nigerians that the APC has irredeemably failed and that the PDP remains the only vehicle to rescue and rebuild the country from misrule of the APC.

The takeover of President Buhari’s campaign office by the PDP in his home Katsina State following the defection of critical APC stakeholders in the State, signals the surrender of the APC and its structure to the PDP in President Buhari’s supposed strongholds.

Nigerians have seen through the lies and falsehood of the incompetent, rudderless, insensitive, divisive, bloodthirsty and terrorism-enabling APC that has brought nothing but misery, economic hardship, hatred, unprecedented disunity and bloodletting to our nation in the last seven years.

Nigerians have seen the APC in its true identity; a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV); a pirate ship of inchoate sailors and strange bed fellows clobbered together for remote personal gains, not for governance and public good.

This is more so as the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT); the national leader of the failed APC government is no match to PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who has established his capacity to lead our nation out of the wood where Asiwaju and his failed APC plunged her.

From all indications, under a credible, free, fair and transparent electoral process, the APC cannot secure the statutory 25% of votes in most States across the country.

Our Party therefore admonishes the APC not to bother to campaign in Kano, Katsina, other States of the north and of course in other geo-political zones of the country as Nigerians have already aligned with the PDP to return our nation to the path of unity, national cohesion and economic prosperity.

The PDP commends the former Governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and millions of other well-meaning Nigerians for their patriotism in rallying on the platform of the PDP to rescue our nation from the stranglehold of the vicious APC.

The PDP urges all Nigerians of goodwill not to be deterred but remain hopeful and join forces on the platform of the PDP to resist the shenanigans and manipulations of the APC ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Hon. Debo Ologunagba
National Publicity Secretary

NGBEDE WAS OUR BONAFIDE STUDENT- UNIJOS

By David Mzer

The University of Jos (Unijos) has confirmed that the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election in Benue State, Sir John Ngbede, was a student of the institution and did graduate from it.

Unijos also stated that Ngbede was admitted in the 1983/1984 academic session and graduated from there in 1990.

Recall that a Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Magistrate Court presided over by Taribo Jim, had on July 26,2022, ordered the University of Jos or any officer acting on its behalf to make available to the Commissioner of Police (no Command Stated in suit) the entry educational qualifications used by Ngbede John Ilodu to gain admission into the University of Jos with a view to assisting the Police investigation.

It also ordered the University of Jos or any officer acting on its behalf to make available academic records and transcripts of John Ngbede.

In a letter dated August 16th, 2022, signed by the Registrar of the institution, Dr Rejoice James Songden, and captioned RE: POLICE INVESTIGATION IN RESPECT OF NGBEDE JOHN ILODU (REF:UJS/6586/83-84), which is a reply to an earlier letter from the police dated August 1st, 2022, the University clearly stated that Mr Ngbede John Ilodu was their bonafide student.

"Mr Ngbede John Ilodu was a bonafide student of the University of Jos in the 1983/1984 academic session with Matriculation Number: UJ/6586/83-84."

The institution also included in the letter, the West African School Certificate (WASC) result of the Benue State PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate at the point of entry into Remedial Studies.

The University adjudged Ngbede's conduct, both in character and in learning, to have been satisfactory to merit being awarded a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry.

"May we kindly affirm that Mr Ngbede John Ilodu was a bonafide student of the University of Jos whose academic records were adjudged to be satisfactory both in character and learning and was awarded a B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry with Second Class Honours, Lower Division in the 1989/1990 academic session."

As earlier reported, the Police prosecutor who filed the motion ex parte and obtained the Court Order of July 26,2022 has failed to turn up in court on August 19th and August 26th, both times the case came up at the Magistrate Court in Bwari.

ORTOM CONGRATULATES ATIKU, URGES ALL STAKEHOLDERS TO UNITE TO RESCUE NIGERIA

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has congratulated the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on his nomination as the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the just concluded party primary held in Abuja.

He said, "In John 3.27, the Bible says "A man can receive nothing except it's given to him from above." So, for the benefit of all Nigerians for whom we strive to make society better, let us now come together under the leadership of the party and be focused to dislodge the APC who have destroyed the very essence of our nationhood, by winning the 2023 general election to restore the dignity of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora."

He went on: “Let me on behalf of myself, the government and people of Benue State heartily congratulate His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his nomination as the Presidential Candidate of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2023 general elections.

"I believe that with your experience and goodwill across all facets of this nation, your election as the standard bearer of the PDP is a clear indication that our party has begun the historic journey back to power in 2023."

"I'm confident that you will put forward your election to restore security in every nook and cranny of the country, revive our collapsed economy, and bring back Nigeria's dignity where the sanctity of human lives of all Nigerian citizens will be respected. This will also make the social life of every Nigerian much more meaningful as you will rescue Nigeria from bottom to top."

Governor Ortom who said "the presidential nomination exercise was credible and transparent," also commended all the other presidential aspirants, especially Governor Nyesom Wike for "exhibiting courage, patriotism and extraordinary spirit of sportsmanship which they displayed throughout their campaigns across the country leading to the National Convention."

He then stressed the need for all patriotic members of the party to unite and ensure the success of the party in all forthcoming elections because the unity and supremacy of our party must be respected.
