I Hardly Win Awards Because I Always Turned Down Requests For S*x ~ Yemi Alade

She said: “There was a time in the industry when everyone wanted to sleep with me and it was like, ‘Yemi, if you don’t do this, you won’t have that. Today men are the reason I don’t win awards in Nigeria.

“Going down with men was like a bridge I had to cross to get on some platforms, get some deals and even awards. When I made my decision never to engage in s£xual activities for gains, lots of opportunities were automatically blocked for me,

“Ask yourself why Yemi Alade who is the most viewed and most subscribed Nigerian female artiste on YouTube gets almost no recognition from award shows year after year. Even during twitter debates, no one mentions Yemi Alade as one of the biggest female artistes in Nigeria.

“They really blocked everything for me. But l’m glad coz l have my dignity, I have my life, l’m making cool cash and above all, I have fans who love me so much…”

FAAN Shuts KFC For Denying Governors Son Entry.

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has shut down KFC outlet at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos after its manager denied a customer entry because of his Disability

The customer, Debola Daniel, son of former Ogun state Governor, Sen. Gbenga Daniel, was denied entry into the branch by a manager due to their, “No wheelchair allowed” policy.

According to him, the refusal occurred as he, along with four companions, his wife and brothers attempted to dine at the outlet. Despite being recognised by the security staff, they were abruptly informed by the restaurant’s manager that wheelchairs were not permitted inside.

This directive left Debola and his group in disbelief and sparked a confrontation with the staff.

FAAN said the decision was in line with Lagos State law on People with Special Needs, Part C, section 55 of General Provisions on Discrimination which states that, “A person shall not deprive another person of access to any place, vehicle or facility that members of the public are entitled to enter or use on the basis of the disability of that person.”

The account is very active with the user having over 3,000 followers,

Many of his followers are bandits who openly display their sophisticated riffles and dressed in military or police uniforms.

This is very disturbing, and I ask why did they subject Nigerians to a needlessly rigorous NIN exercise when they cannot use the data to track and arrest these hoodlums.

Akintelure, Ondo APC Governorship Aspirant Is Dead

A leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Paul Akintelure, has been reported dead.

He was said to have passed on in early hours of today, Mar 26, 2024.

Last week, Akintelure raised an alarm, disclosing that there had been both direct and indirect attempts on his life.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Oladapo Akintelure, Akintelure, expressed his initial belief that the threats would subside over time.

However, he expressed concern that the situation had worsened as the APC governorship primary election scheduled for April 25 approaches.

He further revealed that he had reported the threats to the relevant security agencies and has received intelligence reports and recommendations.

Akintelure served as the running mate to the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu during the 2012 election under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

He was a medical doctor and hailed from Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo state.

“Olamide Asked Me To Leave My Girlfriend When I Became A Star” ~ Asake.

“When I made my first big pay check from music, I was so happy that I shared the news with my girlfriend.

I gave her full details of how much I made and the next day, I gave her 2 million naira as a gift.

To my surprise, she turned it down saying 2 Million was too small compared to how much I had made.

I was abit worried coz this girl is from a humble background and I never imagined her to be like that.

I explained the situation to Olamide and he advised me to leave the girl, he also instructed me to send the 2 Million Naira to my mom.

I’m glad I did coz my mom was able to make good use of the money and open a big provision store.

My mom doesn’t call me for financial issues anymore coz she’s doing just fine...”

I chased one Pharmacy Student girl from our 100 level until I left U.I. Her excuse in 100 level was "I was too young for her" even though I was clearly older than her. Instead of her to just say that I couldn't give her the type of maintenance she was looking for.

Her excuse in 200 level was that she was already dating a doctor. You know how those pharmacy/ Medicine students are with doctors na. Them think say the doctors go marry them. LMFAOOOOOO.

Her excuse in 300 level was that the Doctor boyfriend broke her heart and she was done with relationships. But Aunty, why am I being punished for the sins of another man?

In 400 level, she said I was already leaving school and there was no point because she still had a couple of years to spend in school. Secondly, that I was unemployed and I could not take care of her needs. She was now a woman yunno.
After I graduated, I tried one last time and this time she said “You have graduated from school but you haven’t graduated from chasing me after 4 years. Am I a Bachelor’s degree program? Move on, abeg”

Anyways, I moved to Lagos and I met a beautiful woman at an event in Sheraton and you would not believe she happened to be the elder sister of this same girl. Small world.

I was originally not interested in having any romantic relationship with the elder sister because she didn’t have the physical features I saw in her younger sister (If you know, you know) but we eventually started dating.

So one day my former crush was coming to Lagos and her elder sister asked me to accompany her to the bus park to pick her up.

My former crush almost fainted when her sister introduced me as her boyfriend as we were putting her bags in the trunk of my car. As her elder sister walked back to the park to carry one more bag, this girl pulled me to one corner.

“Theo" what are you doing with my elder sister?” I responded, “Master’s Degree Program, dear”...

24/03/2024

Repealing Of Ex-Governors Pensions, A commendable Effort.

For the first time in the life of the Emeruwa led Abia 8th Assembly, they have shown some sense of responsibility

I salute them for having the courage to scrap the pensions of former governors and their deputies

Though some are still describing it as playing to the gallery because it remains doubtful if any former governor in Abia state has recieved or is recieving such entitlements

That law was introduced by President Tinubu after his tenure as Governor in Lagos and I can say without any fear that it is a product of greed and deserves to be repealed by every state Assembly.

Many states including Imo, Kwara, Akwaibom have stopped paying their former governors.

Even as it is their legitimate entitlement as approved by our laws, I have nothing against it but It is morally unjustifiable to continue to pay former governors those jumbo amounts and entitlements just for being a governor or deputy for 8 years.

We cannot continue to pretend not to know that any Nigerian who has served as governor is already a billionaire for life

Except for insatiable greed what other justifiable reason will make them continue to take those entitlements in a country like Nigeria where people are living below poverty line?

These jumbo pensions and allowances places huge burden on the resources of states.

A law that entitles an ex-governor to take N50 million from the states treasury annually for life in an environment where states are finding it difficult to pay salaries is a wicked law.

A law that gives a former governor a furnished duplex in the state capital and Abuja or any other state capital in the country worth over N300 million in a state where the civil servants are not enjoying housing benefits is insensitive

A law that guarrantees medical treatment for a former governor and members of his family for life when the State cannot give its citizens quality health care and cannot even boast of a standard medical facility is a devilish law.

A law that gives two brand new vehicles not below N25 million each every two years to former governors and deputies but refused to give teachers car loans is anti-people

A law that provides and pays for armed security men to guard former governors and their families for life leaving its citizens at the mercy of kidnappers, armed robbers and terrorists its criminal

A law that provides an all expenses paid annual vacation in a choice location for former governors but refused to develop tourism in the state deserves to be repealed

Many Governors and deputy governors are in the Senate, some are serving as ministers and recieving payments in their new places of assignment.

What justification will they still have to keep receiving such huge pensions and other entitlements from their state governments apart from insatiable greed

Even that of our former presidents should also be repealed, Obasanjo is recieving his full entitlements as a former president running into billions, he has not rejected it for once, where then did he amass the moral right to pontificate in a matter that he is guilty of?

But it's not enough to deny the former governors those entitlements

Will governor Otti use those freed monies for the welfare of the poverty stricken Abians or will it also end up being used for pepper soup and Nkwobi in his dining table?

"Africa loses a lot of money!" ~ Samuel Etoo

Speaking in an interview with France 24, the Cameroonian International Samuel Eto,o said "People talk about football with a lot of emotions in Africa. No one wants to invest. The first player transfer s between Africa and Europe usually cost between 1 and 2 million euros, but the same player six months after is sold for 30 to 40 million euros. Africa loses a lot of money and you understand that it's not in the interest of Europeans for African football to develop. We who have lived in Europe have seen this way of making money and we want that those around us and those who invest in football should make money." Football is a money affair. You have to invest, have a plan for it and work towards the returns,"

Nigeria, The Trappings Of A Failed Nation.

Nigeria the aclaimed giant of Africa today has all the trappings of a failed state.

We are today experiencing extreme poverty

Galloping inflation rate

Hunger

High cost of living

Insecurity

Food crisis and

High level of unemployment

Extreme poverty is a threat to human security and a hungry nation is an angry nation.

Shockingly and unknown to many Nigerians, the Buhari administration sold out our crude upfront and the country can't earn enough forex to service dollar liquidity which is the major cause of the forex crisis.

Buhari and Emefiele went aborrowing from every lending institution without consideration to our revenue ratio, standing our external debt profile at 43.2bn USD

We are in a dire situation with every indicator of a failing nation

The most frightening is the hunger ravaging the nation which we must admit has security implications

As Nigerians we have reached the stage of unshockability that nothing shocks us anymore

But the scary reality is that the nation is on the edge of a precipice and needs urgent intervention.

Nigerians are on the streets protesting and calling on Jagaban to perform the lagos magic

While lawmakers are insisting that Emefiele must be made to account for the mess he created which had defied all the economic precepts that Cardoso and his team have so far applied.

But am I hopeful of the nation surving the current economic crisis? .... YES 💯%

but don't ask me how and when

President Tinubu, ebi npa wa

By Uche Aguoru

Mr. president It's so scary that under your watch every Nigerian irrespective of class or status now wakes up daily with the fear of galloping food inflation, insecurity, and volatile exchange rates.

The economic situation has worsened from what it used to be under the inept administration of Muhamadu Buhari. there is widespread poverty and severe food insecurity as never experienced before in the history of this country, Nigerians are no longer sure of a single meal a day unless those in government Mr. President, we thought you came prepared when you told us "Emilokan" (It is your turn)?

We were expecting a speedy economic revival when you selected a cabinet of technocrats and eggheads who graduated from some of the most prestigious institutions across the world making your cabinet a parade of the most qualified, certificated, and experienced professionals any African nation ever had.

But 11 months down the line the economy has taken a dangerous nosedive that the citizens can no longer feed, Food inflation is standing at 45%, our per-capita growth is stalled, poverty and food insecurity have hit the rooftops, cost-of-living has become extremely high, even agbado is no longer affordable, insecurity has taken a very dangerous dimension to the point that Abuja, the nation's capital that should be the most secured state is under siege by kidnappers.

Many of us thought that you understood the depth of the rot and destruction Buhari and his super corrupt and mischievous Central Bank Czar Emefiele did to the economy and that you have ready-made answers to the socio-economic woes heaped on the nation by the ineptitude of your party man whom you railroaded Nigerians into voting for, knowing that he lacks the competence to lead a once robust and fast growing economy under Goodluck Jonathan, but it appears that the problems had overwhelmed your government and you have run out of ideas and tactics making all the economic trial and error initiated by your economic team inefficacious, all the economic policies being initiated by your team of seasoned economic experts and brilliantly communicated using inveigling rhetoric have all proved less effective and doesn't seem to present relief to the hunger, starvation, galloping food inflation and insecurity ravaging the country at present while the naira has remained at an all-time low exchanging for 1 USD - 1,517NGN as at this morning.

Mr. President sir, let me believe that you have yet to read the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) recent report on Poverty and Inequality in Nigeria that highlighted that almost 83 million people live below the poverty line in a country blessed with all the human and natural endowments.

I am sure that you may have seen the latest World Bank report that suggests that Nigeria houses 11 percent of the world's extremely poor, meaning that one out of the poorest persons in the world lives in Nigeria according to the World Bank Poverty Index. it is estimated that 70.92 million live in extreme poverty, hunger, hopelessness, and starvation and we have never seen it this bad not even during the Biafra/Nigeria civil war,

The hunger in the nation is ubiquitous, it has become unbearable to the point that Nigerians globally known to be very resilient and enduring to the point of tractability are today protesting on the streets of Ogun, Ondo, Lagos, Niger, and Osun states and I am sure if there is no urgent proactive intervention other states will follow, Mr. President please do not harken to the voice of those telling you that the protests are politically sponsored they are being deceitful, the protesters are ordinary Nigerians who are among the over 70 million Nigerians at high risk of food insecurity, facing hunger and starvation occasioned by the high cost of food in the market.

I acknowledge some empathetic moves by your administration to see that Nigerians do not starve to death, but the policies have to be more far-reaching, aggressive and directly touching on the poorest of the poor, 90 percent of the governors and legislators divert the food palliatives released though them by the FG and share it amongst their friends and a few party fateful neglecting the real intention of the palliative.

The truth is that the removal of petroleum subsidy though inevitable was not properly thought through, the necessary buffers would have been put in place to assuage the ripple effect, the knock-on effect worsened the situation despite efforts to improve it, making it more difficult for people to buy basic essentials, poverty and hunger have increased dramatically and the country’s economy has been shattered, the last one year have seen over 500% increase in prices of goods and services.

The insecurity in the North has caused a supply shortfall in agricultural products, Farmers in the major food-producing belts of Benue, Kaduna, Yobe, Kogi, Niger, Kano, Zamfara, Bauchi, Jigawa and Plateau States can no longer go to their farms for fear of bandit attack and kidnapping, staple foods such as rice, beans, tomatoes, onions, yam, and garri have seen over 300 to 500% surge in prices.

The fastest growing enterprise in Nigeria,” particularly the northern region of the country is kidnapping and banditry, hundreds of farmers are being killed, kidnapped, or meant to pay taxes to the bandits before being allowed to access their farms as a result many farmers have abandoned their farmlands, fled their communities, and relocated to urban areas, or taken shelter in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, these disruptions have hurt agricultural production and supply leading to inflation in prices of agricultural produce and triggering hunger, poverty and rise in food inflation across the nation.

You applied for the job and Nigerians graciously hired you to make things better for them, the economy is headed south, the security of the nation is in dire straits, there is widespread poverty, and the people are dying of hunger.

Mr. President, just as you told us that it is your turn to govern (emilokan) and we harkened, Nigerians are pleading with you to save us from hunger and starvation.

We are hungry (ebi npa wa )

No matter how long it lives, the Greatest Lion will eventually die miserably.

That's the world! They may die young from injuries they sustained while defending their Pride. They may die old, enfeebled by age. At their Peak, they rule, chase other animals, catch, devour, gulp, and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast.

The old Lion can't hunt, can't kill, or defend itself. It roams and roars until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by the hyenas, nibbled at, and eaten alive by them. They won't even let it die before it is dismembered.

Life is short. Power is ephemeral. I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old people. Everyone who lives long enough will become very vulnerable at some point. Therefore, let us be humble. Help the sick, the weak, the vulnerable, and most importantly never forget that we will leave the stage one day.

2024: Dying For The Love of The Country.

Dr Cairo Ojuigbo, died while watching the Nigeria Vs S. Africa match, this is paying the supreme price for love and passion for ones country.

The officiating wasnt fair to the Super Eagles, I knew what happened to me when the match officials had to disallow the excellent goal that Osimhen scored and a penalty awarded to the S.African team.

The match would have been wrapped up within the first 90 munites if not for that unfair decision of the match officials against Eagles.

Me wey no be football enthusiast almost had a heart attack, the Super Sports commentators were simply another S.African team off the pitch their commentaries almost made me give up but my spirit remained gidigbam because the victory has been revealed to me before the match

Football no easyoooo and to watch am even dey more challenging, the introduction of Chukwueze and Muffi was very brilliant and had great impact on the team but the that unfair penalty awarded to the Bafana Bafana boys demoralised the Eagles but in all the Eagles remained Super

The South African goal keeper was overpriced and over hyped little wonder the Bafana boys were playing for the penalties while our boys wanted outright win.

Nwabali was a nightmare to the South Africans, abeg he shouldn't go back to S. Africaooo because Xenophobia must start if dey see am.

Rest In Peace Dr. Cairo, you have always been a great patriot, the greatest joy you will have even in death is to see Nigeria win the 4th time

Congrats Super Eagles, let the Cup Come Home......

Sim, A Governor In Power Without Power

Sim is definitely a governor in power but without powers

He is striped of the full powers a Nigerian governor enjoys

But come to think if it, its either Sim is a dullard or a poor student of history who does not understand the political history of his Oga

If he doesnt know let me tell him a little story, since 1999, no governor in Rivers state has succeeded in producing a successor except Wike.

Wike has built a strong political cult around himself and had succeeded in suppressing all known political voices in Rivers state either through heavy dose of kindness or brute political force including that of his former boss and close ally Amechi who is known to be very loquacious

He single handedly and carefully handpicked all the people he wanted in power including Sim.

Fubara must have been very naive or have taken his advise to fight Wike this early from a mad man

Fayose warned him openly not to fight if he is not prepared to go the full hog.

You can't successfully fight a war without arsenals

The 90% of Rivers legislators both at the national and state level are members of Wikes political cult where he serves as the Capon.

And mutiny is an unforgivable sin in politics

Wike also enjoys the support of the judiciary in Rivers state because he was intentional about their welfare and placement when he was governor.

That means he has the keys to the entire armoury and the question is how did Sim embark on mutiny without access to requisite arsenals.

Amaewhule and his group of 27 lawmakers loyal to Wike have made laws stripping the governor of any influence in LG administration and funds and have gone ahead to veto the governor, that leaves the Sim without grassroots

Today those who openly supported him are facing the heat and smelling the rods, while Wikes supporters are having fun. the court has ordered the arrest of his CoS and other hatchet men that he used to avert his impeachment by destroying the House of Assembly.

Fubara, underestimated his boss, he must be full of regrets now for acting without thinking, even as a governor Sim is without network, lonely, cold and powerless.

Put Sim in your prayers he needs it, but again thats the consequences of ingratitude even heaven hates ungrateful people.

Serving Injustice And Confusion From The Temple Of Justice

By Uche Aguoru

For the sake of emphasis, the Nigerian election political cycle starts with the INEC registration of voters and ends in the courts.

While the politicians and political parties are expected to conduct their intra and inter-party activities within the guidelines as set by the umpire in this case INEC, the judiciary is expected to apply sanctions where necessary for the failure of any politician or political party to abide by the set rules of such election as required by either the constitution or the regulatory body in this case the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), because the constitution did not empower INEC to punish or disqualify any politician or political party for conducting their activities outside the set guidelines.

Recently, decisions arising from the judiciary have left Nigerians more confused than they were politically before the 2023 general elections.

The tribunals and Court of Appeal in some of their decisions sacked some governors and lawmakers anchoring their decisions on issues around membership and/or non-sponsorship by political parties for those seeking elective offices since independent candidacy is unknown to our laws.

In some instances, the tribunal and appeal panels viewed non or partial compliance to the electoral act as punishable and went ahead to sack those who by the wisdom of the courts did not comply with the guidelines as enshrined in the 2022 electoral act as amended, a further review of the judgments as dispensed by the courts during the last election cycle, calls for serious concern on how our judiciary is presently structured.

Some of the cases that stood out are that of Plateau and Abia states where the appeal courts in their wisdom citing the provisions of the electoral acts nullified the elections of the lawmakers, in Abia state the appeal court panel sitting in Lagos sacked the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial zone Senator Darlington Nwokocha and member representing Aba North state constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Destiny Akaraka Nwagwu all of the Labour Party, one can rightly describe the ruling of the 3-man panel of the Court of Appeal led by Hon. Justice Georgewill Biobelle JCA, that sacked the Senate Minority Leader Sen. Nwokocha as dramatic because the same panel in a different ruling few munites later upheld that of Hon. Ginger Onwusibe in an election that went through the same process of nomination and sponsorship.

In Plateau state, the election of all 16 PDP members in the state House of Assembly was nullified by the Appeal panel also sacked the Governor, senators, and House of Representatives members elected under the umbrella of the PDP on the grounds of the party’s alleged lack of structure to nominate them as candidates, there are also similar occurrences in other instances like Kano, Adamawa, Nasarawa, etc.

However, the Supreme Court had in their recent rulings declared that the reasons adduced by the tribunal and appeal courts for voiding those elections as pre-election matters, and therefore cannot be entertained by the election tribunals.

I can recall that Senator Nwokocha before the ruling of the Supreme Court on Abia, Kano, and Plateau, had approached the apex court in an attempt to review the rulings of the appeal court that sacked him only for the Supreme Court to dismiss the motion and slam him with a cost of 2 million.

Now that the Supreme Court has ruled, and in many cases berated and cautioned the appeal court justices and election petition tribunals that matters bothering on internal affairs of a political party, membership, sponsorship, nomination et al, should not be entertained by election petition tribunals, does it not amount to injustice to deny those whose legitimate electoral victories were voided on those grounds the right to review their matters?

However, it is a widely held opinion that the rulings of the Supreme Court especially as they relate to the 2023 governorship election are attempts at mending the already dented image of the judiciary and discourage politicians from relying on technicalities arising from INEC guidelines and constitution to climb to office but rather work hard to impress the electorates and gain their votes at the polling booths. but in their efforts to redeem their image, they have created deeper confusion and more injustice.

I am not a lawyer, but my study of the recent pronouncements by the Supreme Court being a court of policy whose decisions in most cases are not predicated on provisions of the law but on many other considerations majorly national interest and security. but their recent pronouncements appear more as Protest Judgments aimed at discouraging politicians from burdening the courts with petitions after elections.

Truth be told, the recent pronouncements of the Apex Court have thrown the entire political landscape into serious confusion, defeated the essence of the electoral act, and murdered internal party democracy.

The Supreme Court ruling which no doubt has straightened the needless controversy on the jurisdictional ambit of the Election Petition Tribunal has deepened the confusion in our body politic, in Abia, Hon. Destiny Nwagwu has refused to vacate his seat insisting that though the appeal Court is the final court in matters involving State Assembly and NASS elections, he had insisted in a tone that sounds like self-help citing the recent declaration by the Supreme court, that matters of nomination and sponsorship are internal party matters of which the tribunal and appeal court has no jurisdiction over and therefore has validated his election irrespective of the fact that INEC has withdrawn his Certificate of Return and reissued it to Aaron Uzodike of the PDP who came 2nd in the election.

In Plateau state, the 16 PDP lawmakers are also insisting that their position as validly elected lawmakers has been validated by the Supreme Court since they are all elected through the same process as the governors whom the Supreme Court has declared properly elected despite the clear breach of processes and have gone ahead to petition the NJC on the matter which they rightly consider as injustice.

There is no doubt that our judicial system is reputed for corruption, but does it mean that the panel of appellate court Jurists who ought to know and should know ended up not knowing, or was it a case of justice for sale?

To all those whom the Appeal Court sacked for non-compliance to the Electoral Act 2022 as amended please accept your fate as casualties of a failed and corrupt judicial system because it has been proven to be an impossible act to reverse the decisions of Courts of last instance as such attempts usually meet a brick wall.
