Chapter 13

Tiwa who ran after Sola was locked outside Sola's room.

She stood by Sola's door, pleading that she opens the door. But Sola seemed not to hear her at that moment due to how loud she was crying.

"What's going on here, what is happening to Sola"? Aniebiet who just walked into the compound questioned Tiwa.

Tiwa simply said it was girls stuff. When Aniebiet insisted on knowing what could drive Sola into such a bad state, Tiwa then added that "Sola just got heart broken".

Aniebiet adviced Tiwa to leave Sola alone at the moment. That she should let out her pains, inorder for her to free herself from the trauma.

Tiwa adhered to Aniebiet's advice and went back to her room.

Obinna had traveled to Owerri in order to ascertain how his business over there was fairing.

He promised Sola that he would be spending just two weeks before returning back to Mbaisae.

It was just two days after Obinna's departure that Tiwa broke the sad news to Sola.

Before Tiwa told Sola about Obinna's dirty lifestyle, the communication between Sola and Obinna was flowing perfectly well.

They used to communicate for hours without getting bored on the phone.

For one whole week, Sola didn't go to work, nor step out of her room. She also wasn't taking Obinna's calls as well.

All through the period Sola was in her room, all she does was respond to greetings from the inside. She clearly wasn't greeting anybody nor calling anyone from the inside.

If anyone greets her, she responds, but doesn't get into any conversation.

Aniebiet who often greeted Sola everyday decided to pay Sola a visit, after carrying out his normal Saturday cleanup.

He stood outside Sola's door for over one hour knocking and pleading she opens the door.

When Aniebiet saw that Sola was not ready to open the door. He then decided to crack some funny jokes and teased Sola as well while standing outside.

At once, Sola opened the door to behold Aniebiet's cute smiling face.

"What's up girl, won't you at least usher me into your room"? Aniebiet said teasingly.

Sola then gestured for him to come inside after some moments of silence.

After Aniebiet finally gained access into Sola's room, he first of all told her about all that had been going on at work. That he's been covering for her.

Aniebiet had a way of lightening up people's mood whenever they're down.

As they carry on with the conversation, Sola was already smiling, to the point that she started laughing out aloud.

On noticing how cheerful Sola had become, Aniebiet then requested she follows him to his room, that there's something he wanted to show her.

That was his own trick to make Sola step out of her room after what seemed like a whole year of being indoor.

When they both arrived Aniebiet's room, he prepared a very delicious noodles and they both ate.

While Sola was swimming in the ocean of Aniebiet's positive vibes, she completely forgot about her plight at the moment.

Though Sola shares everything about her with Tiwa who's her fellow lady, the truth is that she feels more comfortable around Aniebiet.

There's this positive aura revolving around Aniebiet that made Sola feel more at home whenever she's with him.

After their meal, Aniebiet first of all thanked Sola for finally accepting to get out of her room and then he went on to ask Sola the reason behind her plight.

"Sola, ever since you came into this lodge, I've never seen you so down to the point of having to lock yourself in your room for days".
"I understand that I'm not your fellow lady, but I,d love to know what really is going on with you".

"When I asked Tiwa what happened to you, the response I got wasn't satisfying at all".

I'm honestly not happy seeing you this way. My Sola is such a cheerful and happy woman".

"Please, feel free to share your worries with me"...

Chapter 12

As time goes by, Sola and Obinna started getting along so well. It appeared that Sola had already become very fund of Obinna as she often anticipated his presence and phone conversations too.

Obinna often showers Sola with lots of gifts, which includes cash.
As such, Sola wasn't running out of cash anymore and didn't have any reason to bother about Tiwa depending on her for survival since she then had more than enough to share.

At Obinna's leisure time, he drives Sola around the town and shows her around. He made sure she had fun to the fullest before taking her back home. At this point, Sola had completely fallen deeply in love with Obinna.

Because of the bond between Sola and Obinna, she opened up to Obinna without any ill intention about the challenges Tiwa was going through.

How she had to send her monthly allowance back home for her mom's medications.

This revelation broke Obinna's heart severely which made him reveal to Sola that he was born into a very poor family. And as at then, it was very difficult to eat a single meal in a day.

They all struggled to survive from childhood. No proper medical attention when they fall sick. It was so bad that as small as they were, they had to run errands for random people after school hours, in order for them to get paid so they can take back the money home to their parents.

At age twelve, he was sent out to go serve his boss who then saw him through secondary school.

He got settled by his boss after serving him for good fifteen years and since then his businesses has been flourishing which made him able to establish branches in different locations of Imo state within a short while.

Obinna promised Sola that he was going to render any help he could to Tiwa. But that would happen only if Sola permits him to help.

"Of course, whatever you do for Tiwa you're doing it for me as well. Thanks so much for your concern". Sola said.

From that day, whenever Obinna visits Sola, he buys gifts for both Sola and Tiwa. Although Sola's gifts were always special.

He gives Tiwa lots of money to send to her family, for her mother's treatment and upkeep as well.

One fateful day, while Sola and Tiwa sat together to enjoy the fresh air of the evening, Tiwa then brought up the topic about Obinna.

She said in her words: "Sola, honestly there's something that has been eating me up. I've been thinking of the best way to present it to you without making you feel bad".

"What could that be "? Sola asked curiously.

"It's about Obinna" Tiwa began. "I know you might be wondering the reason I failed to pass Obinna's message across to you at the initial time he was coming for you. The truth is that, I didn't want you to go into any wrong relationship."

"You know how deperate the people of this environment are, when it comes to making money. They can do anything in order to swim in the ocean of an ill gotten wealth".

"Before Obinna started coming for you, he was seriously on my neck to go into a relationship with him which I kept turning him down".

"No doubt, Obinna is a very cute guy and any lady who crosses his path would wish to keep him for life".

"The reason I refused Obinna's proposal is because he's a chronic womanizer".

"He uses and dump women. I got to find out that Obinna has used a lot of ladies in this community for rituals through s*x, in order to boost the growth of his businesses".

"Obinna doesn't just use any lady, he lured them by making them believe they're in a relationship with him, and there after, carries out his evil intention on them".

"The reason Obinna decided to come for you is because he knew that if he's close to you, he'll get to see me often".

"Obinna isn't really who you think he is. I could have accepted him when he was coming for me, so he could help my mom directly, I choose not to let a man like Obinna with so much ill intentions into my life".

"All the money and gifts I get from Obinna, I pray over them and anoint them with olive oil before making use of them".

"I don't have any reason to be mad at you for opening up to Obinna about my family".

"I understand you were only trying to help your friend".

"Do you know that ever since Obinna started giving me a helping hand, he's been on my neck to have s.x with him"?

"He even threatened that he was going to withdraw his support if I keep refusing to grant his wish ".

"A long as I have my pride and dignity to protect, I'll never stopped so low to having s.x with any man in this environment".

"I will go back to the West after my NYSC and pick any man of my choice".

"Sola, you really have to be careful with Obinna. He's really not what he portrays himself to be".

"I'm just telling you this so you get to understand the kind of a man you've allowed into your private life".

This information from Tiwa really messed with Sola's mental health as she was left in a state of dilemma.

At once, Sola exclaimed in disbelief and then went on to question Tiwa.

"So Tiwa, you knew about this all along and you quietly watched me go into it!? Why did you not tell me about this before now Tiwa"?

Tiwa went on to tell Sola that she didn't want to be considered an enemy of progress, which is the reason she decided to stay off her affairs with Obinna.

"Sola, it isn't too late. The good thing is that you haven't had s.x with him yet like you said. So it's impossible for him to carryout any evil intentions on you".

".It's a pity he deceived you, but it isn't too late to gather your broken pieces Sola". Tiwa added.

"Thank you so much Tiwa. I don't know what I would do without you"? Sola appreciated Tiwa.

At this point, the tears that had already formed up in Sola's eyes, began flowing down her cheeks.

At once, Sola ran into her room, shut the door and let out a very loud cry.

Followed by a thunderous and continuous banging on the door.

Poor sola...

Chapter 11

After Sola finished talking and turned to return to her room, she heard a familiar voice calling her from outside the gate. A male voice to be precised. Calling out on her to open the gate.

It was Aniebiet on the gate. Aniebiet was Sola's senior colleague, from the southern part of Nigeria. Akwa Ibom State, to be precised.

He was already serving before Sola joined him. So he was a bit more familiar with the environment and the people in the environment than Sola was.

At their leisure time, Aniebiet shows Sola around the community.
Upon hearing Aniebiet's voice, Sola immediately opened the gate and Obinna quickly entered the compound before Aniebiet could even step a foot Inside.

At this point, Sola had no reason to worry since there was now a third party in the compound, more like a protector to her.

She went in and brought a chair for Obinna to sit and wait for Tiwa, but when she brought the chair, Obinna insisted that she sits with him in order to keep him company.

Sola hesitated for a while before finally grabbing a chair and joined Obinna.
"Tiwa's phone is at the charging center. We were together since morning before she quickly rushed down to the market to buy something. She will be back before you know it" Sola said: thinking that Obinna had been listening to her all along.

Little did she know that the young man was being carried away by the beauty before him.

When Sola didn't get any response from Obinna, she had to asked him if he heard what she just said. It was then that Obinna returned back to his senses and thereby asking Sola to recap.

"I said Tiwa went to the market" Sola repeated. Market!? "What market! What market? But today isn't a market day. What did she say she's going to buy from the market". Obinna asked.

At that point, Sola recalled that clearly it wasn't a market day and Tiwa didn't mention what she really went to buy from the market.

"Anyways, that's by the way. Sola, the reason I came to see Tiwa today is to get a feedback from the task I asked her to help me carryout . She hasn't been picking my calls and hasn't called as well. I believe by now, she has passed my message across to you". Obinna said with assurance.

"What message"? Sola asked, in a confused state.

Obinna went on to explain what transpired between him and Tiwa the day they met.
He was surprised and disappointed at the same time that up to a week, Tiwa was yet to pass his message across to Sola.

On the other hand, Sola thought perhaps, Tiwa was right by not telling her. This was because, she wasn't intending to establish any relationship.

Obinna decided to make use of the opportunity to open up to Sola concerning how he felt about her.

From obinna's tone, Sola could tell that his intentions were genuine.

While Sola sat down, trying to figure out what Obinna had just said, Tiwa arrived and interrupted the atmosphere with her presence.

Upon greeting Tiwa, Obinna redirected his gaze back to Sola and pleaded that she gives him her contact so they could continue their conversation over the phone.

After some hesitations, Sola reluctantly released her contact to Obinna who gratefully bid them goodbye before taking his leave.

When Obinna left, Sola then headed to Tiwa'sroom to ascertain the market she went to.
Tiwa rushed into her room immediately she exchanged greetings with Obinna, upon returning from the market.

When Sola got to Tiwa's door, she noticed it was locked from the inside. And then she called out to Tiwa from the outside to open the door after asking her the market she went to.

Tiwa responded from the inside, saying "she didn't know it wasn't a market day and that she didn't buy anything important.

"Could you at least open the door and show me what you bought and where you bought them from"? Sola pleaded.

It took Tiwa over an hour before she finally opened the door. And by then, Sola was already tired of standing by her door and had returned back to her room.

Back in Sola's room, she was just so confused as she kept thinking aloud.

"This is really strange, Tiwa often claim she's going to the market, but then, she rarely cooks nor have anything tangible in her room. What could really be taking Tiwa to the market, and which of the market is she always going to? Even when I know that market here is once in a week, but Tiwa ceases any slight opportunity to rush to the market". Sola kept pondering with her...

THE PRICE FOR FRIENDSHIP

Chapter 10

"Please Tiwa, I've been seeing your friend around for some time now. Whenever I try to get her attention, she ignores me like I don't even exist. It seems she's not that free with this environment and she seems scared of people around here too.

I just wish she understands I don't bite and also grant me the audience to speak to her. I've been observing her for a while and I got to understand she's a very nice and polite woman".

"I feel so hurt whenever she treats me like a nobody. I'd really be grateful if you could help me talk to her. I really want to be so closed to her, so I can get to know her better".
At this point, Tiwa was weak to her bone marrow. This was because she thought Obinna actually came for her, not until he channelled the conversation towards Sola.

"Okay! I'll talk to her. She's my friend and I'll try my best to ensure she grants you the audience to speak with her". Immediately after after finishing her last statement, Tiwa quickly walked away from Obinna, without waiting to hear anymore words from him.

She went straight to meet up with Sola who had been waiting for her in front of a kiosk, far from where she was standing with Obinna. They both walked home quietly without saying a word to each other.

Sola was quiet because at that point she was famished and too exhausted to speak. All she needed was just to get home, eat and have some rest. But in Tiwa's case, she was seriously thinking about the disappoinment that just hit her face. It was extremely too much for her to handle. The thought of how unfortunate she had been when it comes to securing a man kept ringing in her head.

Later that evening, when they both sat outside for some fresh air. Tiwa brought up the topic of Obinna.
"Sola, about the man earlier today, he's such a cute guy and he seems cool too. What do you think about him"? Tiwa questioned.

Sola chuckled at the mention of Obinna. "Tiwa, please just leave me alone oh. I don't care to know anything about any man nor what he looks like. So long he's in this environment. Infact, my major aim at the moment is to serve my father's land and gather as much experience as I can and then return back home to my family".

On hearing this, Tiwa then changed the topic since she had already heard what she expected to hear from Sola. In her thoughts, "Obinna isn't important to Sola anyways, so needless of her wasting her effort on making Sola see reasons she should give him a trial.

They both enjoyed each other's company that night before finally saying their good nights.

It's been over a week since the encounter between Obinna and Tiwa, yet Obinna didn't get any update from Tiwa as regarding to the task he asked her to help him carryout.

Obinna then reached out to his phone and gave Tiwa a call, but she didn't respond. Obinna dialed Tiwa's number for good eight times, and still no response. More like, Tiwa was in no where closed to her phone.

Then Obinna thought it was best he goes to her place, so as to ascertain what really was going on.

Not only had she not updated him on the request he made from her, she wasn't picking her calls as well.
"Something must be wrong somewhere". Obinna muttered while making his way out of his apartment.

When Obinna arrived the corpers lodge, he noticed the gate was locked from inside, which indicated that someone was inside the lodge.
He knocked on the the gate for about 30 minutes, but no one responded. And then he called out to Tiwa repeatedly, but didn't get any response.

When Sola who was alone in the compound noticed the person at the gate was there for Tiwa, she then left her room to attend to the person. The reason Sola didn't respond initially was because she didn't know who was knocking and she doesn't attend to unfamiliar people.
Since she doesn't have friends aside for Tiwa in the lodge, and no other person was in the lodge with her, she thought it wasn't safe to open the gate.

"Good day sir. Tiwa is not around at the moment. You can come back in a little while or hang around and wait for her". Sola said from inside, without even going closed to the gate.

Obinna requested that she should at least grant him access to the compound so he can wait inside for Tiwa.
"No Sir! I'm the only one in the compound right now and I can't let a stranger inside, for the purpose of safety". Sola replied.

"I'm not a stranger Sola, please let me in , I've been standing here for too long". Obinna replied Sola l.
All the while Sola was speaking to Obinna, she didn't know he was the one at the gate. Not until he said her name. And also the tone in which he said he wasn't a stranger made Sola recalled his voice. Sola went closed to the gate and decided to peep through from an opening on the gate for confirmation..

Upon realizing who he was, Sola said "having been seeing you around for some time now doesn't mean you're not a stranger to me. I don't even know who you are, where you live nor what you're up to. And you stand here to tell me you aren't a stranger "?

As a matter of fact, the person whom you seek, is in nowhere within your reach at the moment. So, kindly go back home and come back later in the day.
After Sola finished her last statement and turned back to head to her room, she heard a call from another familiar voice. Calling her from afar to open the gate...

Both Facebook and my followers aren't helping matters at all
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

I noticed my page has turned invisible (Facebook is telling me they're no more recommending my page to the general public again), even when my page clearly has no history of violations. I've tried to report a problem severally, all to no avail and this is really affecting the growth of my page negatively. People keep following my page, but I don't really see it reflecting on my page. If I'm notified on having 10 new followers, I only get to see two more additional followers reflecting on my page, sometimes they don't even reflect at all. I don't know what else to do.

It's really heartbreaking when I devote my time in generating an idea, put it in writing and there after, proceed to typing. With the sole aim of entertaining you all. But I keep getting poor comments and reactions. Some of you can't even follow my page nor share my posts to attract people who might be interested. At this point, I'm beginning to feel discouraged. Honestly. I'm not getting that ginger anymore and this page is almost useless. Your reactions, comments, share and follow could go a long way in restoring back the visibility of this page, but no, you chose to read and ignore.

I might just suspend the story for now and then think of creating another page later.
