Adamu, Madaki, George, Hameed, Others Bag Batta Traditional Titles
A historic day has been set by Chief Adamu Atiku Abubakar in the long historic Bwatiye kingdom, as he received a meritorious or well deserving title: Fyemi-Batta (Shed of Batta) from His Royal Majesty, the Hama-Batta - Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke.
Fyemi-Batta is one of the thirty (30) titles disbursed to distinguished personalities by the Batta Traditional Council. Among those who received the titles were:
- Chief Hameed Ahmadu Fintiri (Kurmo),
- Chief Joel H. Madaki (Nzomurokake),
- Chief Kate Raymond Mamuno (Duwa-Mbuwara),
- Chief Joab Haggai Sahma (Nzonjiya),
- Chief Aminu Aliyu Ismaila (Madaki),
- Chief Niwesa George Kushi (Pipiyo),
- Chief Barnabas Galadima Pata (Ngra) and many others.
Present at the historic event, was His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa state - Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri - who was heavily represented by his amiable deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta. Also in attendance, was the First Lady and mother of the new brand Kurmo-Batta - Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, the deputy Speaker ADHA, the Head of service, PDP Organizing Secretary, Honorable commissioners, Honorable members state House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen, First Class Chiefs, many traditional title holders and many more.
The conferment of traditional chieftaincy titles on some illustrious sons, daughters and friends of the Batta Kingdom by His Royal Majesty - Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, has really come at a right time and rightly to the deserving ones. The sporadical conferment of those chieftaincy titles will surely cement the inter-ethnic and interfaith coexistence.
On behalf of all that has been crowned today, the Nzomurokake-Batta - Chief Joel Hammanjoda Madaki expressed delight with the titles conferred by traditional council.
