60 Solidarity Groups Mobilize for Peter Obi in Cross River State |

The Labour Party, LP Cross River state meeting of Sunday 19th June which held in Calabar the state capital metropolis has been adjudged to be very successful NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

No fewer than one thousand eight hundred and ninety six persons were in attendance while over sixty support groups pledged their loyalty to Peter Obi’s presidential ambition.

These details was relayed by the state Public Relations Officer, of LP in the state, Dr Offem Lekam who disclosed that ‘Yesterday, I was the Master of Ceremony in our Labour Party Meeting. Despite the short notice of the meeting, we recorded 1,896 attendants with over 60 solidarity groups for Peter Obi. When I came in few minutes after the proposed time, I couldn't believe it was the very meeting I co-organized. I like what I saw yesterday, people traveling from Obudu, Obanliku, Bekwara, Ogoja with their money just to affirm Labour Party.

‘They didn't bother to ask for refreshment. From Obudu to Calabar TO and FRO is over a 10k, this is what poor revolutionaries pay just to attend a meeting and return back. This is the spirit of aggressive revolution.

‘Those undermining US are only pretending, both APC and PDP are no longer attacking each other, they are now United and attacking only OBIDIENT supporters. This is an indicator that they are threatened by the overwhelming support of Nigerians for the best, they preferred the old way, they prefer poverty, and they prefer corruption. The truth is, we will shock you come 2023.’

Meanwhile, on his part the State Chair of the LP, Amb. Ogar Osim, said that ‘‘We have sang the national anthem without hope especially the ‘labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain’. With Dr Peter Obi as the flag-bearer of our party in fact, the labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain.

‘We have invited you here to say thank you, to interphase with you as individuals, groups that this great movement towards the realisation of where we are going... This country is not working, the country is crippled. But, we have come to say enough is enough.

‘Where we are is not the will of God. To tell you where we are and where we're going from here. We have already created structures across the entire state. In all the 18 LGAs, and we are happy that we did all these things’.

The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), His Excellency Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has officially confirmed that talks are ongoing between his Party and the Labour Party of Nigeria for a possible merger that "will give Nigerians a chance to be, alive again".

The two term former governor of Kano State, former Senator and former Minister of Defence, Kwankwaso is a renowned but quiet education philanthropist, humanist and people oriented leader whose ideologies on people centered and developmental governance policies are in tandem with Mr. Peter Obi's visions for a reworked and working Nigeria, where productively shall be the watchword.

In a post on the official Twitter handle of the NNPP, Senator Kwakwanso informed his teeming supporters and Nigerians at large that both the LP and the NNPP have set up a special committee to fine-tune the details of the merger and expressed hope that the ongoing discussions will yield the expected result for the benefit of Nigerians.

"We, at the Peter Obi Support Network are most delighted with this news and crave the continued prayers and support of all Nigerians to see to the actualization of this revolutionary political arrangement."

Bianca Ojukwu Recounts Encounter With Peter Obi’s ‘Stinginess’

Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Biafran leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has shared the moment, she encountered the ‘stingy’ nature of the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi.

The Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, had on Wednesday, described Obi as a stingy man and his comments elicited harsh reactions from his supporters.

In a post on her page titled, ’On Peter Obi’s supposed ‘Stinginess’...’ the matriarch, recalled when Obi, then, a governor of Anambra State, visited Texas and had refused to buy a designer suit for an event instead opting for a $220 suit.

She said, “The suit that was a perfect match for him was a dapper Tom Ford suit with a price tag of 3,985 dollars plus tax. He did the calculations and told me ‘Do you know how many students this amount of money can train in Nigeria?

“To cut the story short, he refused to pay what he termed ’that outrageous price’ for the Tom Ford suit and that was how we ended up at Steinmart where he agreed to pay a more acceptable price of 220 dollars, tax inclusive, for a basic men’s suit which he was happy to wear to that evening’s event.

“What struck me, was that as we were on the way to the airport to see him off for his return flight back to Nigeria, he reached for his pocket where he brought out an envelope of crisp hundred dollar bills. The amount in the envelope was 3,800 dollars.

"He said ‘Anyanwu, this is the balance of the money I would have paid for the ‘Ford’ suit. If the label on the suit was ‘Peter Obi’, I am wondering if anybody in America will pay that amount for it. I have deducted the amount we paid for that suit we eventually bought. Please use this balance for your Charity foundation to help those in actual need. I trust you will do so’. We all laughed heartily. Vintage Peter Obi!”

Mrs Ojukwu went on to list the beneficiaries of Obi’s gift via her foundation.

So Peter Obi actually travelled to Egypt for the purpose he mentioned - to study the energy sector and not to attend any bank's AGM.

If you posted about this man being in Egypt for any other reason besides what be mentioned, show pictorial evidence or apologise.

I am in the Energy sector. There's little you can do without travelling to the actual site and studying what's on ground physically. What you learn can be implemented in your own country when the time comes.

And moreover only few are privileged to get such invitations since the energy industry is well protected.

PDP 2023 Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar, Says No to Nyesom Wike, Picks Ifeanyi Okowa as VP

In a twist of political events in the country, Adamawa born 2023 presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has rejected the choice of Rivers State Governor and his closest rival in the party’s primaries, Barr Nyesom Wike as his Vice Presidential Running Mate in the 2023 Presidential election.

Atiku who was said to be uncomfortable with party leaders choice of Wike had preferred Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and his long time friend as Running Mate.

Atiku it was learnt had encouraged Okowa to pick presidential form to keep hold of delegates from his State and divide votes from the south south expected to be Wike’s stronghold in the concluded primaries. They both had secret understanding of pairing after the primary is over.

But the choice of Wike by party leaders and stakeholders was due to his positive performance at the primaries and his commitment to the growth and mobilization of PDP as a party.

Unfortunately for Wike, Atiku said no and opted for Okowa as his preferred choice for presidential running mate.

Dear Father Ejike Mbaka.

I, Peter Obi is still yet to know how I've offended you in person and as a priest you are.

You are my brother as an Igbo man and we even go the same church, the Catholic.

How do you define stinginess in your own dictionary.

So, because I don't share money, means I'm Stingy?

Do you know that those money politicians are sharing, they are state funds. It is not their personal money.

Why must I spend extravagant with money that is not my own just to prove that I'm not Stingy?

I have donated money to almost all the major secondary schools and universities in Nigeria including hospitals.

I never made noise about it because I see it as a charity work!.

So, you expect me to start singing about it?

Mbaka, if stinginess means to save money and avoid wasting state funds, then, I'm proudly stingy.

But, you've to tell me where else I've wronged you, so that I will apologize and we move on.

It seems you bear grudges on me and you must free yourself because you preach forgiveness to your members.

Hear it again, I am not desperate to be the president of Nigeria. That is why I will never use a kobo to influence anyone!!!.
