Igbesa High School Class of 1999 Renovates a classroom for Alma mater
Volunteering your time to support a cause you are passionate about is something you will never regret.
This was the replica action of the 1999 graduating set of Igbesa High School, under Ado-Odo Ota Local government of Ogun State as they collectively renovated a classroom to their alma mater.
The Acting Registrar of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, MCIA, who is also an alumni of the school joined her colleagues since 1999 renovated a classroom for the school.
In her opening remark, Mrs. Johnson commended the unity among her colleagues in actualizing this project of about 700,000 for the use of students and staff of the school.
The Education Committee Chairman of Igbesa, Alhaji Muhamodu Saheed Olagbaye Animasaun, who was at the commissioning of the classroom stated that the Education Committee was constituted by His Royal Majesty HRM Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde , (the Oloja Ekun of Igbesaland) to ensure every citizens of Igbesa enjoy good atmosphere for learning, while commending the 1999 set of Igbesa High School on behalf of the His Royal Majesty for their commitment in giving back to their alma mater.
Also the Vice Principal of the junior school of Igbesa High School appreciated the 1999 set on behalf of the management of the school while ensuring them that the Management of Igbesa High School would make good use of the classroom for the betterment of lives of the upcoming ones.

11 STRIKERS F.C CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF OBA AKINDE ROYALTY CUP

11 Strikers Football Club has been crowned champions of the Oba Akinde Royalty Cup held on the 1st April, 2023 at the Ogun state Institute Of Technology igbesa football pitch where the opening and closing ceremony of the tournament took place after 2-1 win against Star To Be F.C
It was gathered that, 11 Strikers F.C won the maiden edition of the competition which became an historic win for the team as they triumph out of 16 teams that participated in the tournament.
In an interview with Mr Johnson Steve, he made it known that Tambs Sport world is the organizer of the event and was organized in honor of Oba Abdul Azeez Oluwatoyin Akinde (Oloja Ekun of Igbesa land ) who was the sponsor for the event.
According to him, “16 teams participated in the competition and were grouped in four where each team played in their respective venues as allocated to them to play their matches”.
He also made it known that, “it is the King's desire to promote and project the image of Igbesa land because it has been stigmatized when it get to sporting activities but reverse is the case this period because the competition was not only limited to the people of Igbesa alone but was also aired on Faaji 106.5 Fm in Lagos for wider publicity of the tournament where fixtures and results were been announced”.
Mr Johnson maintained that an approval was gotten from the state Government before the commencement of the competition which made them further approach the Nigeria Referee Association, Ogun State Chapter for Licenced Referees towards the tournament.
Agbara-Igbesa Media correspondent gathered that the first position was awarded with the trophy and presented with the sum of 200,000 naira; second position was given 150,000 while the third position was given 100,000.

Update on the Construction Of Shunrin Culvert Along Igbesa - Ejila Awori Road, Igbesa, Ogun State
In reference to the earlier notice of the commencement of the construction of the Shunrin Culvert on the 8th December, 2022, we are constrained to inform you the commencement day has been moved to Monday, 12th December, 2022.
This is due to concerns that the notice is too short for any proper planning and most especially the restriction on vehicular movement during the period of site execution.
The iron benders will commence steel reinforcement work tomorrow, 8th December, 2022, at the company workshop in preparation for the new date.
We are very sorry for any inconveniences this change may cause our people.

Unique Club Igbesa embarks on development project worth 450,000 Naira

Unique Club Igbesa has embarked on a development project worth 450,000 Naira, dated Thursday, 6th of October 2022.
The club was formed and saddled with the responsibility of providing relieving services and engaging in activities to develop the community of Igbesa.
According to Alhaji Abdurahmon, the President of the Club, the philanthropic project involve sharing of Books, stationeries and School Bags to primary and secondary school students in the community.
He revealed that the Club noticed some schools in need of a helping hand and therefore the club will be stretching their philanthropic activities to ; Onset Nursery and Primary School Igbesa, CMS, Chinese Primary School, Elero primary school, Salvation Army School, Baptist day primary School, and Ilamiro Primary School, Igbesa.
It was also gathered in the interview session that the Club has the intention of extending the project to the two Secondary Schools in Igbesa, Maale comprehensive High school and Igbesa High School, Igbesa.
The President also promised that during his tenure, development projects like this will go beyond education sector and will be done every two years to relieve all residents of Igbesa land.
He added that the previous administration of the Club was led by Comrade Otunbalogun Haruna and pledged to continue the good works.
“Comrade Haruna really tried during his tenure, and we have put it upon ourselves to continue the good works until our tenure elapse as well”. He said.
The President was accompanied by Comrade Odegbenle Olatunji, the Assistant Secretary of the Club alongside Comrade Kabiru and other members of the Club.
