Baobab is the world's thickest trunk! Its hollow stem measures more than 20 meters in diameter and can store up to 120,000 litres of water. Its size is so impressive that some baobabs are used as housing, sheds or animal shelters, but sadly the species is endangered.

It is estimated that they can live up to two thousand years, calculated by their diameter. Its scientific name is Adansônia Digitata, but they are also known as baobabs, baobabs or calabeiras.

The tree is truly powerful: it houses hundreds of animals, birds and insects in its huge trunks. Its flowers measure up to 20 cm long and bloom overnight, but they contain nectar and fruits that serve as food for tribes and animals in diset, as well as have indications for their use to treat malaria.

A special oil is extracted from the sap of this tree; from its trunk, the indigenous of Madagascar build canoes (kind of long canoe); and its cork has a medicinal compound to fight epilepsy. Not surprisingly, in Africa, baobabs represent life: they're symbols of fertility, abundance and healing.

"Dangote drove me home from the hospital day I was born." Davido

"Dangote and my dad are very close, he was the one who drove me home from the hospital the day I was born. Anytime I see Aliko Dangote, he tells me "David save and invest your money". He has been telling me this same words ever since I was a kid. It's really funny the way Dangote lives his life, I don't think he has bought a car for the past 10 years or even gone on a vacation. He drives a 05 G Wagon and invests all his money and he doesn't even have a Jet" Davido

With all him businesses and wealth,Aliko Dangote still created time to drive Davido home after his birth. Davido has been chilling with money since the early 90s🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The richest man in Africa never buy a new car since 2005 and doesn't even own a jet then who then are we to bother ourselves much because of material things.

"I would have gone for money instead of love”. Yvonne Jegede finally opens up on what wrecked her marriage

Social media users are reacting to Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede’s revelation on why her marriage to Abounce Fawole crashed.

In an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, she revealed that she walked out of her marriage because she was contributing more financially than her ex-husband. The movie star further expressed regrets over choosing love instead of money.

She added that her ex-husband took every joke as disrespect because he was older than her, which worsen things.

He [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ‘You dey crease, ‘ he would say I’m disrespecting him. I would if it was the same person I got married to.

“But that wasn’t the main reason I left the marriage. Let me just say the fact, I was bringing more of the money. Today, I’m taking care of my son like nobody exist around me. It’s not easy. I would have gone for money instead of love”.

The most famous broadcaster in America is Oprah Winfrey. She announced her retirement, and they held a festival honoring her in a football stadium, but the surprise was to discover that she had sponsored 65,000 poor people for a quarter of a century without anyone knowing...

Many of them attended the stadium and 450 people came out with candles... !
Five of them were professors at Harvard University who gave a short sermon summarizing it: “If it were not for Oprah, we would now be in a different place than this...”!!!

One person changes the lives of 65,000 people? And in secret?

Humanity is not a religion, but rather a rank that some people reach.

NLC Proceeds with Planned Strike as N'Assembly Intervention Fails
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC has insisted in going on with the proposed strike action on Monday

This was sequel to a meeting of the leadership of the national assembly with the organised labour held on Sunday at the national assembly, though the meeting could not not yield fruitful result as labour insisted on going ahead with the strike action. But the leadership of the national assembly is assured labour will do the needful.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio while briefing newsmen after the meeting with the labour union said, “in the last four hours we have been appealing to the NLC and TUC that they should return to the negotiation table with the federal government, because we cannot afford to allow the hardship going on in the country to continue.

On his part, the Speaker of the house of representatives, Rt hon Tajudeen Abbas added we agreed with the organised labour to go back for discussion with the executive for possible positive outcome.

Meanwhile, the NLC and TUC leaders said, the national assembly appealed to them to call off the strike but they are restrained because they can’t sit on their own and call off the strike until they meet with their affiliate bodies.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio on Monday received in audience Afrobeat Star, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido who was on a courtesy visit to the Senate President.

Receiving his guest, Akpabio expressed his delight at the visit and poured encomiums on the Afrobeat Star for making Nigeria proud by his outstanding performance.

"You have made us very proud within the International Community," Akpabio told Davido who came in company of two of his cousins, Hon. Tunji Adeleke, son of his late brother Isiaka Adeleke and Folasade Adeleke, daughter of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

"It is a country with a population that is unmatched anywhere else in Africa. Over 240 million Nigerians. So I want you to continue to remain a great Ambassador of our country. Don't allow anybody to drag you into politics. Continue to do your best in the entertainment industry.
