It was quite a long journey from Calabar to Kaduna. She was quiet towards me through out our journey.
"Wow,never knew it was this far,my buttocks are suffering it". You are not the only one feeling it, my own is regretting why it choose to belong to me". I sat up and stared at her for a while, she knew I was staring at her so she pretended not seeing me looking at her.
I noticed and started giving her the puppy look," stop it she said laughing, "my buttock get weight pass your own that why you dey feel am like that.
So you dey call my own bone nahu,abi? She fired back but now staring back at me. We looked at each other for a while and soon started laughing."I'm sorry,I didn't mean to make u feel bad about my decision, Ok. Its done and dusted. Please do forgive me. I said with a pretending tear filled eyes.

"Stop that." Stop what? I said smiling.
You know I love you,I've known you for a very lengthy period of time and you are a sister Coker.

Have you spoken to Ryan?. He called me and said something about you behaving weird and all that,are you ok?.He is worried about.

She gradually seized her words when she noticed the way I was looking at her. I'm just concerned. She said and went back into our room.
I slept with another man for something other than love how do you think that I will be comfortable being around him.

Ryan was my first and he was meant to be my last. That is how it is meant to be but I have to graduate right?
I feel bad, guilty, my heart tends to skip each time I see him.
I'm uncomfortable around him but I still love him and I know he loves me more. Just that..
Just that what?,"stop this guilt conscience thing. He doesn't know and he won't know.

Just pick yourself up and go to him. You didn't do it cause you wanted to cheat or anything but for a purpose. Please stop ok

Call Ryan. He misses you". She went and left the room murmuring.
I sat still thinking about Ryan and how he felt. "It wasn't intentional, I love you, you mean the world to me. I don't think I can't do anything without you.

The call of nature came and I had to answer temporary.

Coker! Coker!! I woke up to someone shaking me violently and calling out my name also. What?!! ,

Episode 1

Life is clearly about ups and downs.
It takes you being persistent to balance at the top and it takes you very little to balance below.
I'm confused, i'm torn. I feel great but i'm yet to witness it.
I feel a stir but when is it going to be turned from vessel to vessel. Am i going the right way? I don't want to be like the w**d blown by every wind of doctrine, conversion and thought.
I want to have my own thing, every one wants to be independent but not every one can afford it those that have attained it complains of one thing or the other. Looking for a smooth talker to talk them out of their misery but is it what is required?
While some are comfortably independent. I want to be independent but I'm scared now the funny thing is I don't know what I'm scared of ...I don't know if it's the bills or staying away from family or failing or regret..I just don't know....

Its my first time of doing a lot and I am terrified. People say it's normal and I think its so. Cause I'm getting use to it .I love adventure. And I'm thrilled to begin this journey of mine.
A journey of ups and down, pain that will bring experiences that will lead to maturity, I'm matured lol...but I need more to soar higher....

"Get out!!! of my office young Lady" but sir....."not a word from you girl"!! ....The door opens and close.. I took a few steps away from it and sank to the floor. No one told me it was like this.

Abeg I go bring am back, Segun carry am oo, no worry I dey expect money next week so I go bring am back.

I stared at her for a while and then walked into the room and came out again". You cook?. I wan chop".
"Yes I did, I cooked jollof rice". "Thank you, you are the best".
" Coker are you Ok?, Cause I know you left this house in disarray and you are back asking for food. I hope you are Ok?". I'm fine. Never been better, abeg I wan chop no ask me question again".
"I'm sorry, wasn just being my brother's keeper I mean sister's keeper",
Try be a better one by bringing back my refrigerator.
"Ha, I will do that oya go chop before you go talk the one wey go vex me jhoor

The food was quite delicious I savoured every spoon containing it." Madam your phone dey ring" ..I immediately dropped the plate of food and picked up my phone to answer my caller.

"Good evening ma. Evening dear. How are you? I'm fine ma. I hope school is good? Yes ma, very good ma. That' good. Hmm, do you still remember the journey we are to embark on, next week? Yes ma. Things are in place ma", "I love you dear. I wish to have more ladies like you,vI blushed like a girl listening to her first love whisper love poems to her". Thank ma", I lobe you too ma. I will talk to you later then", she hung up.

"Are you still head bent on going to the north?". I didn't say anything. "I'm not asking a rhetorical question Coker.

Episode 17

Its the pastor's wife. Are you leaving? Are you OK?. I was silent,I couldn't find the right words more like I couldn't tell her my ordeals. Someone judging me is the not what I need right now.

I need comfort,someone to tell me that its normal, its going to be OK, follow your heart and people's opinion should not bother me".

Coker? Are you OK?. Yes, I'm fine. Its nothing". I said without looking at her.
She took a deep breath and said," Look at me Coker". I couldn't and I just don't know why, "I said look at me!!",she thundered at me, I was taken back and felt a sting of fear building up as I slowly found her face and as our eyes met she smiled at me and took my hands into hers and gently found her chest and placed them there" I don't know the crown u are trying to wear but I hope it fits you perfectly and you are happy wearing them,whether good or bad?. Its still on your head its going to be placed. Please be careful my dear so that your kingmaker won't be given a crown of thorns to place on you. I love you and do take care of yourself and always remember that I'm here for u". She moved her hands from her chest to my cheeks and I immediately found comfort in her arms,tears found it's way down my face,I couldn't hold back the urge to hug her and she opened her arms to welcome me.

I slowly found myself sobbing and after that came a cry that made her cry also I was comforted. We stayed like that for a long time,she didn't complain,she just stroll my hair gently.

Episode 16

You know the feeling of greatness but you don't know how to start and even yet to discover purpose, yet to find passion, I know I'm born for something huge but I can't see or feel it far or near,its close but its closeness seem far. It's far but its distance feels covered already.

I'm confused, more like torn apart", I was just thinking about this when someone tapped me and brought me back to reality. Hello dear, are you fine?, are you Ok?.
U can talk to me my dear",she was dressed in a blue long gown,it doesn't look churchy, fair skinned with small eyes and a pair of dark lips,her round face made her smiles so heart warming and appealing. The pastor's wife is very beautiful I thought to myself".

Are you Ok, my dear?," oh yes I'm ok. I mean no ma. I can't stop thinking about my life, limitations and accomplishments so far, I feel a lot about myself ma but it seems imaginary. "Don't say that my dear ,everybody is born with a purpose to live up to and you are definitely not different love, Ok?.

Her words are not new to me but very comforting and from that day we became close like family but campus life tends to create that space that is not met to be there.

"How great is our God,

The voice of the choir seem to be the perfect sound for me right now and I stayed all night listening to them sing. It was refreshing.

As soon as they were done I stood up to leave and I was called back by a familiar voice.

Life is beautiful I've heard people say that but is my life beautiful? I don't know right now.

" Campus gates,campus gates. Aunty abeg adjust", "sorry". I'm confused and distressed right now. "Do come to me whenever you are in distress,I'm always here for u Coker"

Its been a while I've been in church,the altar is brightly decorated with flowers and the setting is something I'm yet to understand but whether I understand it or not? I love it that way.

The choir and band rehearsing at the end of the altar. Singing is something I love but I'm a terrible singer, I can't control my breath and I'm always bound to crack while singing, but listening to people with beautiful voices make me think of them as Gods and goddess,"

Hey!! Coker, how are u dear? Its been a while,what brings u here today?". Immediately turned to see who it was and as I thought, it was the pastor's wife". Good evening ma, I'm fine ma, I just came here to clear my mind, that's all ma", I answered her Ok, I'm at the garden do meet me there if you need to or want to, I'm expecting you dear". Thank u ma" I said as I bow my head as a sign of respect, I watch her as she gently walked out of the door, I turned to my original direction and I sat still.

My mind drifted back to my first time here.
It was a powerful sermon by the pastor, that got me thinking about my life?, greatness? both maritally and otherwise

Episode 14

The DJ wasted nobody's time at all as he gave his best from the beginning to the end...

Flora dragged me to the Dancing floor and I lost it. My legs lost control ,my hands were not just on the air but my body too. "That's my girl, yes, rock, shake those things given to you by your mama.

It was intense, stuffy, sweaty but exciting. I was highly energized and it took me little time to take control of the stage. Everyone stared at me and I wasn't bordered, seeing my Ryan at the bar table smiling at me. He was happy to see me happy.

Ryan is a lively person but not a party type but he never stopped me from party,he just love me with all my flaws and every bad and good thing you could thing of, come join me dance babe, I pulled him to the dance floor and let him rock me slowly.

What's wrong? U don't want me to touch u? Did I do anything wrong?,Ryan was worried... I didn't even know what came over me and why I was behaving in such a way,I said to him but deep down I do,I can't because I'm feeling guilty,I just slept with any other man and I'm pained ,I'm fine, just not in the mood any longer OK? Please I'm so sorry we walked in kissing each other vigorously and fondling,bbut I got turned off when he brought me into a hotel. I just cheated on him in a hotel. "Ok, if u say so. He left me and went to bed. I quietly laid beside him and think myself to sleep

Aunty please we are sorry,we thought you have passed that spot, we are so sorry.I stared at the little boys on their knees pleading with me not to cease or take away they football. I reluctantly left them there cause that was the least of my problems.

Coker you are back thank God. Wetin dey happen for room sef?. My room? I don't know oo...let me check. I immediately rushed to the room and opened the door thinking that Segun the guy Ndidi was owing has carried the small fridge we are managing.

Happy birthday!! It was Ryan and some of my friends, he organized a party for me. I didn't know what to say or how I feel,I stood there frozen on the spot.

Ryan gently found his way to me and pressed his lips on mine. Happy birthday my love. I had to fake a smile and he took my hand and led me into the room and the party began.

The way he showered gifts, love and care to me made me uncomfortable and the feeling of guilt came in. Babe are you OK? Yes, I'm fine, just stressed. Sorry dear, don't worry about me,I'll be fine dear, OK, if u say so"

It's my birthday party but I felt it should just end. Seeing him happy and partying made me feel worse.

"You better not do what u are thinking", I turned back to see who was talking, it was Flora. "I know its hard for you right now, but with time you will heal. She paused for a while to look at me and then continued. At least you are finally done with this project matter, so just wrap your joy around that OK, she said and hugged me at the same time", OK, thank you, let's go have fun

When he got a go ahead and he started to unbutton my shirt and soon he was down, he help me take them off and discovered I was braless meaning i came ready for him.

He gentle played my b***s in his hands as he brought his face close to them and soon I felt his mouth on my ni**le as he sucked from one ni**le to the other, he gently made his move my neck and caressed it passionately and with that he laid me on the bed and stared into my eyes to find pleasure in them and he did find,he started kissing me this time passionately from my lips to my neck and down to my ni**le and he sucked one and caressed the other in his hand and soon he found my cl****is with his hands and fonded them in a way that so much excited me, I started to feel his fingers going inside me and I loved it. I heard today is your birthday so I decided to make it special, you know you are special to me right? So I want this to be special to you too.

I stood surprised and confused should I be happy or disgust, i felt a sting of happiness cos no one has ever done this kind of stuff for me even Ryan hasn't.

I felt a hand around my hips and a breath on my neck his hands massaging my hips and waist with gentleness. He slowly turned me to face him and for the first time I acknowledged his good looks. Liam is a young lecturer in his late 20s or early 30s so definitely he is not an old man. he slowly kissed me gently and soon he became violent with it and suddenly he stopped and moved away from me a little.

Today is ur birthday let's celebrate first.
He took the bottle of wine and found two empty glasses under the table cos the table seem to have a case under it and he poured a reasonable amount into each glass and handed a glass to me and wished me a happy birthday and offered me a sit on the bed and he also sat close to me,he stared at me as I sipped the wine slowly, i soon noticed his stare and the uncomfortable feeling crept into me, he noticed it and smiled as he look away. After a while he came close and took the glass of wine from my hand and placed it on the table and came closer to me and kissed me but this time he was gentle and I slowly gave into him I felt his hands on my stomach and it gently moved to my breast and he touched it and waited for my reaction.

But I'm not enjoying today's ride,it was like the trees were expressing their disgust in each pass and the lovely air in motion were just too hot.

You are sweating? Are you Ok?, I'm fine Liam, are we there? Almost baby girl almost, his voice disgust me and made me feel like vomiting but it was never like that in the beginning, he was a sweet man that I used to enjoy his company but not today. We are here, we came down from the car.

The packing loots was quite big and the swimming pool can be seen from there, the golf field was very beautiful, thhe grasses on them were just so arranged and with uniform height, colour and texture. It made me feel like going on a picnic. Very beautiful right? I choose this beautiful place cause you are a very special person in my heart. Indeed special I thought to myself. Let's go. I fellowed him like a sheep following a group of other sheep and will soon fall into a hole cause their are following a blind leader.

We got to the reception hall and he asked for the key to room 205 and it was given to him,I noticed the way the receptionist was looking at me, she looked at me with pure disgust probably saying to herself another one to warm his bed as usual.

This way miss Coker, he said as he led the way. We got to the room, there was a bottle of red wine on the table and the bed was well decorated with flower and candles on the floor .I was confused do lecturer do this for every girl they convince to sleep with them?.

Its funny on my birthday and after having a sweet moment with my boyfriend, I will go out and sleep with another man just to secure my project.
Life is not fair at all, I thought to myself as I heaved a sigh and took myself to the bathroom to take a shower.

Campus gate!,campus gate!!, buy your okpa,its hot and sweet, don't miss this opportunity to eat the most delicious okpa in the world, buy it now ooo,leave me alone biko I'm not going to school today mommy,u must ooo ,the woman grabs the small boy and gave him a few s***k dragging him away, no wound him ooo mama Tobe.

Standing at the bus stop and experience the rush of the morning is always a breath of fresh air,seeing people working hard to earn a living make me remember home, my mom, dad and the busy life we had. Sometimes we forget breakfast and we are used to it already,thank God for that, adapting to early morning school rush wasn't hard at all.
Madam campus gate, how much?, 200, no be 150? oya enter nahu. I immediately entered the bus and it drove off.

Finally u are here,good morning Mr. Liam. No, call me Liam, you are looking very ravishing this morning and glowing too, let's go, I've made a reservation for us at the fun surge hotel, Let's go, I will approve your project there ,Ok? Ok Liam. That's my girl.

I love riding in cars,seeing things and resting while in motion. Thank God I was born when cars were more used till date

It was chilly but still good you know the feeling of the harmattan season,early morning sleep ,when the weather is cold but I'm enjoying it ,that was the same feeling I was getting that morning but I heard a voice singing, a familiar one,"

Today is your birthday and I'll sing to let you know,that you will be a queen today ,whatever u say goes, it was my Ryan, with a cake and Flora with him, he was smiling as he came to my side and took my hand and caressed me

"You are a queen in her prime,my snow princess,my Cinderella, your beauty radiates,your Caramel skin that glows like the spring,your boogie cat eyes that gives you the sexiest look and the lips that allures it admirers, everything about you my queen is perfect from the crown of your hair to the sole of your feet is irresistible. I love you babe",I love you so much

"Sir please we can sort this out,it doesn't have to end that way sir..hello..sir...hello " he hang up . What did he say?, "Ryan asked with curiosity, don't worry, there's nothing I can't handle, let's go, I walked out knowing that he will insist on knowing and having an argument with him is the last thing I need right now.

The weather was quite cold and it seems like its going to rain but how can that be possible? its dry season and it just began, I'm feeling cold I said, are you sure you are OK? Cause the weather is very hot babes", can't u see that I'm sweating", she's just worried about her love life,how she's won't cheat on Ryan with Mr. Liam" Flora said. But girl, you are not cheating on him,you are just doing the needful for your education my dear. Does he know what Mr. Liam is asking from you?.

"No I couldn't tell him,it just doesn't feel right." Good!!,go do it and forget you ever did it ,no lecturer goes around discussing about their escapades with girls, its business dear. I'm not a virgin, yes,but I have dignity and I'm in love with Ryan we have planned to get married immediately after our NYSC program and I'm earnestly looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him

We went to his seat and the teaching commenced. Little did I know that we will be this close and in love till this day..

"My queen u always know how to stand up for your kind unlike some people waiting for others to do it for them "he said looking at disgust Flora.."you just dey insult anyhow abi? Abeg let's go".she's just jealous." Of who? the two of you? Haba cut me some slanks. Commitment is the last thing on my mind right...let me enjoy my temporary freedom".. she said shaking her body to express herself better.
"You are so unbel"....my words were cut short by a vibration from my small hand bag and it my phone,pulling it out to know the caller and seeing it change my entire mood and weakened my body..its Mr Liam my project supervisor...
Flora immediately walked out cause she believed she's told me what to do ..." Hello sir" ," Miss Malik, you are playing with your future.

You are throwing dice with your destiny, you know the needful, why are you behaving like a child.
I believe that anyone who has entered and stayed for more than a year in the university is no more a child, you know what I want, give it to me and get this done with, I won't be this lenient towards you again.

I found it at the tail end of the hallway.
The next thing i heard as i made to enter the class was "she is our new class prefect and i will assist her" I raised my head to see who was talking and I saw a light skinned boy, tall, slim but looks appealing, and he was pointing at me that was when I got to understand that the newly elected prefect was me I was taken back and astounded. "No..no...no I'm a transferred student ma, i was just assigned to this class and this my first day and first time of stepping into this building" I tried to defend myself before the figure at the board. That must be the form teacher I thought to myself.

What's ur name?, Coker Malik. and you were assigned to this class right?, yes ma. you are the class prefect, Ryan will assist u don't worry u will be fine these were her words as she pats on my shoulder and left the class.
As I stood in front of the class so blank and lack words, Ryan walked up to me and said to me don't worry I'll help me isn't it a great way to begin. Fine girl what's ur name again, Coker Malik ...meet your new class prefect SS 2E Miss Coker Malik.

After a while a boy stood up clapping and gradually the entire class did the same thing. You see, It wasn't that hard he said smiling at me, his smile was warm and heart melting.. I couldn't help but smile back at him and everybody... What ur name? I asked him..oh pardon my manner ...I'm Ryan Saltsman and its a pleasure to meet u gorgeous.

Our fathers see us as goods waiting to be sold to the highest bidder and our husbands see us as purchased products to be used for anything without caring about our feelings

Women are visioners ,we are more than just a commodity I was dumbfounded by the applaud I got from our members.

You are a feminist miss Coker and I'm proud to have you as a member of this group.
We will be going to a village in Kaduna for more discovery about the evolution of women throughout civilization and you, miss Coker will be leading this exhibition. Thank you ma, I beamed with smiles on my face, at least something just made my day but I won't graduate without a distinction in my project.
Oh, God no, let me enjoy this moment as I snapped out of my misery once again.

A man has a dream of being a president, he works hard and when he attains that position as the president his wife automatically become a first lady,she does not have to struggle for it,she gets it because her husband is the president... Woman tends to step into prepared blessing... Just like Eve,she was created when everything was done...creation, naming and so on was already done and dusted before she stepped in...but earning a good name and maintaining it is not so easy...the prepared blesses we tend to step into has made us limited to life and experiences growth...
We tend to saddle men with a responsibility that has created a rift in our society today...it's not bad to be a earner too...woman are visionaries too...
Men too are suffering from stereotypes, the obsession to make money and when its not forth coming they tend to die in silence,it's meant to be a together thing,u know we earn together and grew our families together too..he needs help too, he needs a shoulder to lend on too..its not bad if he ask his wife for money too...but our crave for attention,care and love has distracted us a lot..its not bad to want to love and be loved.. its a natural thing to want a man..to yearn for these... we are emotional attached.. its there..we can't change it but it can be used as a force of good...to love him and equal be a helper...most woman are not helpers but leeches, as much as its his duty to provide it equal ur duty to help him stay alive..
