Barau FC's 16-year-old player Saleem scores against Kano Pillars

Sixteen-year-old Saleem Aminu, was in dreamland after scoring against Kano Pillars Fc at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano State on Thursday morning.
Barau Football Club and Kano Pillars played in a Warm-Up Friendly game, with Pillars defeated Maliya boys 3-1 with brace of goals by Mustpha Yuga and Yusuf Abdullahi Tsamage.
Last month, striker Saleem Aminu, aged 16, played his match for Barau FC, becoming the club's youngest ever to score against the Pillars.
Salem's 86th-minute score against Pillars took Maliya Boys to reduce goals by Pillars nets, but the teenager was in dreamland after a morning scored by Sai Masu-Gida.
Saleem Aminu was born on 24 February 2008 in the Sheka area of Kumbotso Local Government, Kano State, Nigeria.
He attended Best Alternative Comprehensive College, where he studied Frimary and Scondery, all in the Scholl located in Sheka.
Saleem Aminu, a former Kore United player, expressed happiness for his teammates, highlighting the potential for the talented youngest Kano players.
"First, I thank God for his victory. What I can say is that I really did I think I'd be 16 years old scoring at Sani Abacha- that's a dream come true for me and anyone.
"I feel in my mind that today I will score goals agains Kano Pillars. Thank God, at the end my dream came true. It is what I have always felt that I scored the goals against the team’
"It's a special one , a special moment, a special day for me. I am sure everybody dreams of scoring at a stadium like Sani Abacha, especially scoring against a big team like Kano Pillars", Saleem said with a beaming smile."
"Also, today was a special day for me, the team, the management, supporters, my families and everyone. This was a beginning for me, Saleem told the BFC Media Officer.
The Kano Pillars will continue their preparations for the Round of 32 fixtures of the President Federations Cup and the commencement of the league after the break.
While the match also preparation for Barau FC, ahead of the Nationwide League One NLO first round play-off in Daura, Katsina State on 27 March 2024 with Clever Warrios.
