*HAVE DEFINITE GOALS*
*Sunday, February 4th, 2024*

_*But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20 AMPC).*_

God’s plan is for you to consistently make progress, and progress means advancement, moving forward. Progress must be measurable; otherwise, it’s not progress. You must have goals; if you don’t have definite goals, you may not be able to really measure your progress.

In making progress, there’re certain things you must consider. First, locate your present position in any area of your life in which you desire to make progress. Is it in the area of your health, finances, job, business, or family?Whatever it is, locate your present position. Secondly, envision what the next level will be for you.

Thirdly, determine what you must do to get to your next level. That means your input in terms of effort, time, and resources. Resources could refer to money, materials, information, etc. Fourthly and finally, take action; do what you need to do to get you the results you want. Otherwise, your visions, goals and aspirations will fail and come to nothing.

You should already have clear-cut goals for the year; stay focused on your goals. Every now and then, pray in the Holy Ghost about your goals; this is so important because it’ll guarantee your progress in achieving your goals. Our opening verse says, _*“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit.”*_

This year, you’re going to make progress and move forward in your life like never before, irrespective of what’s been happening with you or around you. The Spirit of God will inspire and guide you to take the necessary actions that’ll cause you to have evident and unprecedented growth, increase, and prosperity in Jesus’ Name.

*A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING*

*Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12).*

Did you know that living a life of thanksgiving is one of the ways to keep yourself in perfect health? There’re those who believe that nobody can be perfectly healthy, and they’re wrong; perfect health is the right of every Christian. That’s what the Bible teaches.

Notice what we read in our opening verse: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” He wants your life to be a life of thanksgiving always, because the Father has qualified you to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light.

Part of that inheritance is the divine life which comes with divine health. Divine health has been granted you in Christ Jesus and He wants you to maintain it through a life of thanksgiving. So, every day and every month of this year, live the life of thanksgiving; constantly give thanks for all things. It’ll keep you in health always. Hallelujah!

*CONFESSION*
I live a life of thanksgiving, manifesting the virtues and perfections of Christ’s righteousness, walking in the glory and dominion of the Spirit. I walk in health and prosperity, with victory over Satan, the world and its systems, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

🔴Some people today are drifting; they’re born again, but they’ve been conquered by the world.

🔴They don’t have the Gospel-motive.

🔴Your motivation in life should and must be Christ Jesus and the purpose for which He died.

🔴Don’t let your focus be on the transient things of this failing world, for none of its so-called “trends” can give you true joy.

🔴Paul said in Galatians 6:14, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

🔴This is the attitude that you must have.

🔴The Lord said concerning the church in Sardis (Revelation 3:1), the church lived in name only but was dead. Like living in history.

📖Revelation 3:1 “...These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.”

🔴The death mentioned in this verse isn’t total but a state where, even though there’re still works and activities, there’s so much apathy and “spiritlessness.”

🔴Being alive in name only isn’t a good thing.

🔴Some nations and churches are like that. They have a name of a living church or are recognised among nations, but they’re dead.

🔴This can also happen to an individual as well.

🔴A worship leader, for example, could sing so beautifully and people would think he’s alive, yet he knows that he struggles to pray, doesn’t fast, and no longer reads the Bible.

🔴The Master’s instruction to such people is to be watchful and strengthen the things that are ready to die.

🔴That’s quite interesting. For that worship leader, it may be the singing that’s ready to die and he or she doesn’t know it.

🔴So, fan the embers of your desire for the Lord and the things of the Spirit.

🔴Be aglow and afire for Him always.

🔴Pray often.

🔴Win souls.

🔴Study and meditate on the Word.

🔴Be watchful!

𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐓?

🔴There’re those who say, “Well, you don’t know what life will bring forth; you never can tell what’s going to happen tomorrow.”

— That’s not us; we don’t talk like that!

— We know what will happen tomorrow: tomorrow, we’ll win; we’ll still be shouting, dancing, and rejoicing in victory.

WHY?

— It’s because the script has been written: all things work together for good, to them that love God (Romans 8:28).

— Our light afflictions produce for us a far more exceeding, and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17).

— We triumph always in all things and in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14). Hallelujah!

— The “Script,” the Word by which we live, says we’re victors forever, come rain, come shine, and we’re simply acting it out.

— Part of that script says in Romans 8:35, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

— After considering all these things, the Spirit’s conclusion, who is the “Scriptwriter,” is that we’re more than conquerors.

— In Isaiah 54:16-17, again, the “Scriptwriter” wrote, “Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

— What a word!

— If this doesn’t give anyone the confidence to face life and win, then nothing will.

🔴In Christianity, we pose a solid front!

🔴We don’t chicken out; we don’t live in fear; we’re bold and strong.

🔴Irrespective of the troubles or adversities we face, we maintain our faith-filled confessions. We’re confident about life; confident that come what may, we’re more than conquerors

🔴You’re invincible.
