Honored to attend the watch party in Abuja as a delegate, where I had the opportunity to connect with young consultants and World Bank Nigeria staff. Engaged with the Honorable Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, and Acting Country Director Taimur Samad.

This year's theme, 'Powering Progress: Youth Leading the Digital Transformation,' spotlighted youth using technology to solve development challenges. Key subthemes included:

Digital Access and Inclusion
Artificial Intelligence
Sustainable Technology for a Livable Planet

The event featured presentations by youth-led project groups, fostering rich discussions on development, followed by live viewing of the summit.

Grateful for the invitation and the chance to join fellow delegates at the World Bank Abuja office, where we shared experiences and explored innovative solutions for youth empowerment and digital transformation.

Beware of Airdrop Scams!

Hey everyone, let’s talk about airdrop scams and how to avoid them!

Airdrop scams are when scammers send you tokens without your permission, hoping you’ll visit a fake website to claim them. Once there, they steal your crypto.

Here’s how they do it:

Fake Airdrops: Scammers create fake websites and social media profiles for fake projects, offering free tokens. Don’t fall for it!

Phishing Scams: They pretend to be legit projects, sending messages about airdrops with links to fake websites. Don’t click—your wallet could be at risk!

Token Approval Scams: Be cautious if you see strange tokens in your wallet. If you’re unsure, don’t approve them! Giving permission could give scammers access to your crypto.

Stay safe with these tips:

✅ Research First: Check if the project is legit before joining any airdrop. Read reviews and stick to trusted sources.

✅ Trustworthy Projects Only: Only participate in airdrops from projects you trust. Look for listings on reputable airdrop aggregator sites.

✅ Protect Your Wallet: Never share your wallet details on shady websites. It’s a sign of a scam!

✅ Stay Alert: If a token seems suspicious, don’t approve it. Better safe than sorry!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Bitcoin halving, also known as ‘halvening,’ is when the reward for mining new blocks is cut in half. This means miners receive 50% fewer bitcoins for verifying transactions. It’s scheduled to happen roughly every four years until all 21 million bitcoins have been mined.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬?
Bitcoin halvings are crucial for traders because they reduce the number of new bitcoins entering the market. With fewer coins available, prices could rise if demand remains strong. The next halving is expected in April 2024, reducing the block reward from 6.25 to 3.125 bitcoins.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭?
Bitcoin halvings will continue every 210,000 blocks until around 2140, when all 21 million coins will have been mined. The exact date of the next halving is not yet known due to variations in block generation time.
