Former Blues, Joe Cole has paid Cole Palmer a huge compliment by naming him the 'signing of the season' after yet another stunning performance for Chelsea. Palmer arrived at Stamford Bridge for £42.5million back in the summer after he left boyhood club Manchester City in pursuit of more first-team game time, and has found just that in west London.

Since arriving as past of another expensive transfer window for the Blues, Palmer has emerged as the key man up top for Chelsea, and last night netted a hat-trick in a dramatic 4-3 victory over Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has called upon his Manchester United team to learn from their 'unacceptable' defeat at the hands of Chelsea claiming his players must take responsibility for the loss. Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has tipped Chelsea to beat Manchester United and believes Erik ten Hag will be under "massive pressure" if he loses his next two games.

United produced a dismal performance at Brentford on Saturday and were fortunate to come away with a point. After being dominated throughout, Mason Mount thought he had won it for the Red Devils in the 96th minute, only for Kristoffer Ajer to score moments after to salvage a deserved draw.

Meanwhile, Chelsea failed to beat 10-man Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their first game after the international break. Dara O'Shea netted a late equaliser for the Clarets, shortly after Cole Palmer had put the Blues back in front for his second of the afternoon, with Josh Cullen scoring the other goal.

Is Bukayo Saka playing too much football?

Bukayo Saka was suffering with 'fatigue' in Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Sunday, Mikel Arteta has said.

The Gunners star was named in the starting XI despite being a doubt ahead of the game. Saka was forced to withdraw from the England squad earlier this month as a precaution.

Arteta confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Friday that the forward hadn't trained ahead of the game. However, he played 78 minutes before being replaced by Gabriel Martinelli.

A former Bayern Munich star, Didi Hamann has led the calls for Thomas Tuchel to leave the club early following their latest defeat. The German admitted defeat in the race for the title after the game, congratulating Xabi Alonso's outfit on title success despite there still being seven games and 21 points still to play for. On the back of the 2-0 loss to Dortmund on Saturday, former Munich man Didi Hamann has called for the change to be made early to give them the best chance of proceeding in the Champions League.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted his frustration over rest periods ahead of facing Real Madrid. Guardiola is aiming to secure a potential ‘double treble’ in the coming weeks as City look to match their incredible achievement from 2023.

According to Pep, City plays Aston Villa at 20:15 midweek, then again at 12:30 against Crystal Palace on Saturday and then go to Madrid on Tuesday. He noted that Madrid have nine days to rest and also prepare.
