Note: I don't believe any elected president can do well operating the codswallop called 'Nigerian constitution'. Don't get your hopes too high. Without restructuring, we may still end up with a better predecessor to the successor, and it will keep going on like that.
The system is the problem and not personnel changing.
Overhauling our Constitution is one of the keys to building a sustainable system of government. When a law is designed to punish offenders within a system, then you won't need a Twitter-influenced candidate to come save your country. Rather the system will create a platform for the merit candidates to only show interest.
In Nigeria, the system permits dummies to show interest (such you have had in the likes of Obj, Jonathan, Buhari, and now maybe some Atiku, Tinubu & Others, while the Intelligent fellows are perceived as noise makers.
The system goes after preachers of good governance and ends up charging them with felony offenses (Kalu & Sowore are here).

The system knows and has the list of 'b/haram sponsors' and has refused to persecute or make them public. The system empowers insecurity and expects even more in the coming government if measures are not taken to pan them.
During GEJ, we needed GMB to come and end insecurity we didn't know being a former army is the crudest path to more insecurities in the land.
And now in the same pattern, we want another candidate.
In 2014, Elder statesmen/women chaired a national conference and dialogued on the common issues affecting the nation.
In a church meeting in 2015, a member of the Confab in person of Pst Tunde Bakare said that, what was dialogued at the confab would have been the projector of the nigeria we all desire, as issues of constitutional reforms and equality among regions, were also talked about.
But both the outcome and implementation of the Confab are nowhere to be found. Those who benefit from the wreck system would fight to keep it thus. Think about this! If Buhari as a war General could not solve Nigeria's insecurity problem. Don't be deceived, no one can solve it under the present system of govt.
With a restructured system, governors take responsibility for what happens in their states, Chairman gives answers to what happens in the LG.
Without a restructured method, it is just going to be another roller-coaster journey from 4yrs to 8yrs.

The rebuilding of the nation called nigeria is a collective obligation by all Nigerians both at home and abroad.
We own this nation together and we will not watch it wreck by selected unfits.

Security issue in our dear country is disturbing.
Leaders ought to know how important securing the lives and properties of their citizens is and face it headlong.

It is appalling to see how quickly the security agencies can respond to apprehending peaceful protesters and yet the same security agencies have no sight on in Nigeria.

It is debilitating in Nigeria to see adult politicians whose brains function below a two-year-old child wanting to become the nation's President.

The real problems emanate from the masses who troop into the election campaign of their oppressors... Until the masses start thinking right, then we can have a peek of hope.

That a corrupt leader dies, is not an immunity against their corrupt practices or democratic thefts, but a way to end their further corrupt practices and rip-offs, they would all be answerable to God - Richard S. Onabumen

30/06/2020

I have received several texts and chats from some dudes on how death brings immunity to its victims even if they were horrible while alive, so we don't need to speak about the victims' evil in their passing? But you lied!
What is evil is evil, either the person who perpetrated it is living or dead.
To every (dead) corrupt leader in Nigeria you have no respect from me and as you have made your tenure unbearable to the citizens so shall your be tormenting to your torso.

Countries rise when they put in place the right pro-growth political institutions and they fail—often spectacularly—when those institutions ossify or fail to adapt. Powerful people always and everywhere seek to grab complete control over government, undermining broader social progress for their own greed. Keep those people in check with effective democracy or watch your nation fail.” - Daron Acemoglu & James Robinson (WhyNationsFail).

'If we do not formulate plans for unity and take steps to form political union,we will soon be fighting and warring among ourselves with imperialists and colonialists standing behind the screen and pulling vicious wires,to make us cut each other's throats for the sake of diabolical purposes in Africa.'

Over the cause of the years, the African leaders have shied away from the democratic fundamentals, they keep making policies and laws on the basis of what the European nations or the Chinese can give them. It hasn't worked and it won't work.
As Africans, our political responsibility is to Champion a course to developing our nations, it is not right for a country like Ghana, Nigeria, Togo close or already in their 60years of Independence still depend solely on the Chinese or European aids to run its government.
By now African nations should be able to finance their basic needs. If we look at decades to come what we would be doing is to be paying loans collected from European and the Chinese, this won't develop our land rather it would turn us into monetary slaves. - Richard S. Onabumen.

Interesting...
LIST OF MINIMUM WAGES BY COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD.
1. Nigeria - $38 (N18,000).
2. Algeria - $175 (N83,000).
3. Belgium - $1,738 (N810,000).
4. Cameroun - 36, 270CFA ($75) N38,000.
5. Chad - $120 (N60,000).
6. Denmark - $1,820 (N900,000).
7. Libya - $430 (N190,000).
8. Japan - $1000 (N450,000).
9. Cote D'ivoire -36,607CFA $72.
10. New Zealand -$3,187 (N1.4m).
11. Luxemburg - $2,500 (N1.1m).
12. Spain - $760. (N300,000).
13. Switzerland - $5,620 - N2.5m.
14. USA - $11 per hour.
Ironically, Nigeria politicians earn the highest salaries the whole world. In Luxemburg where minimum wage is $2,500, their lawmakers are paid $7,400. In Libya where minimum wage is $430, law-makers earn $3000. In Nigeria where minimum wage is $38 (N18,000), law-makers earn $65,000 (N29m).
How long will this continue???

'The man dies in him, he who is afraid in face of tyranny - Prof Woke Soyinka"

Dear fellow compatriots,
The problem of Nigeria is not because some set of bad people have decided to ruin us through embezzlement of funds or the nation's resources 'NO'
But it is because GOOD people in NIGERIA have decided to be quiet while things fall apart,
The greatest weapon a man has is his MOUTH when used properly,
I refuse to be silent until we all see the nation of our dreams in our very own lifetime.

Our hearts bleeds over the killing of innocent worshippers this morning at St. Philip Catholic Church Ozubulu Anambra State.

This act is barbaric and satanic in all ramifications, we pray for those injured quick recovery and to the families of those that lost their lives fortitude to bear this irreparable lost.

This kind of act is unheard of in a civilised society we crave for.

We crave for better Nigeria where we will all live together in love, peace and unity.
We believe in the greatness of this country
And it will materialize soon but we must do away with all dishearten act such as this.

God bless
